Big Brother 10 Week 1 PoV Results – Spoilers

| July 14, 2008 at 7:57 AM EDT

Jerry PoV Memory WallUpdate: Yes, obviously Jessie won the Power of Veto, not Jerry, as we learned on last night’s episode. PoV competitions are performed behind closed doors, requiring speculation when the feeds are turned back on. This time when the feeds came back, no one was wearing the PoV, as is typical of past seasons. Instead, the medallion was hanging beside Jerry’s picture on the Memory Wall. Obviously, this was a false conclusion which was shared by many and unfortunately propagated here on this site as well.

The end result was the same. Jessie was saved, as reported. Brian was nominated as his replacement, as reported. Who won the PoV was ultimately irrelevant to the ceremony outcome. My apologies for the confusion.

When the Big Brother 10 premiere wrapped last night I was confident that Renny was done for. Not so fast, it would appear. With the launch of the live feeds a lot of new information has come to light.

Big Brother 10 JerryFirst up, Jerry has learned of Brian’s other alliances and that didn’t make the leader of the “X-Factor” alliance too happy. Worse news for Brian is that the winner of this week’s Power of Veto (PoV) is… Jerry.

According to The Big Brother Blog, Jessie will likely be saved by Jerry and the PoV and then be replaced by Brian in retribution. This would pose Brian against Renny come Wednesday night’s eviction with ten people voting, which means we could get a tie. Given Jerry’s current mood I think we know how he’d vote.

Things can change quickly in Big Brother 10 and with other players, like Dan, working hard to save Brian he might just survive this one after all. If you don’t want to miss a spoiler sign up for the free Big Brother 10 email updates!

Big Brother 10 Premiere Results

| July 13, 2008 at 7:59 PM EDT

The premiere episode of Big Brother 10 is over and it was a great start to the new season! Here are the first set of BB10 spoilers:

In the first luxury competition, Jesse sat out while Memphis went on to win the classic car. Memphis had his pick of either the 1967 Mustang convertible or the 1969 Camaro SS. He selected the Camaro. Very slick prize, CBS!

As rumored, the first Head of Household (HoH) was selected by first impression votes. Renny had the second most votes while Jerry won as the very first HoH.

Jerry and Brian teamed up as their both servicemen (Marines and Air Force, respectively). Jerry wants them to be the “X-Factor”. Brian plans to stick with this alliance until the ship starts sinking. Brian suggested to Jerry that he nominate Jesse and Renny.

The first Big Brother 10 nominations for eviction are: Renny and Jesse

Big Brother 10 Premieres Tonight On CBS 8pm ET/PT

| July 13, 2008 at 9:09 AM EDT

Big Brother 10 logoOkay, Big Brother fans, this is what we’ve be waiting months for, the premiere of Big Brother 10. Tonight on CBS at 8pm, for those of us east/west coasters at least, Julie Chen will walk us through those big, heavy, foreboding doors and introduce us to the new set of houseguests who we’ll accompany for the new few months.

Tonight’s episode will give us a feel for our favorites and least favorites, beyond what we’ve seen from clips already leaked. I’ve reserved judgment because it’s hard to really tell much about these people from those early snippets. Thank goodness for the live feeds though, huh?

We’ll also officially see the election of the very first Big Brother 10 HoH. That news was leaked days ago, so if you don’t want to wait you can jump over to that spoiler here. Very interesting how it was an election HoH instead of a competition HoH (allegedly). Will we see more of those this season? I’d hope not.

Big Brother 10 First Video Released – Meet April’s Boobs

| July 12, 2008 at 2:04 PM EDT

I was hoping that Big Brother 10 wouldn’t be quite as raunchy a group as 9, but that might not be the case. CBS has released the first live feed footage from the BB10 house and it looks like everyone is getting pretty comfortable, with April’s boobs that at least.

The video appears to be what is the typical “form a circle and introduce yourself” when the conversation jumps to whether April’s breast are real or not. She claims they are and offers everyone a feel, including Jerry who entertainingly claps after the experience. I think I’m gonna like that guy.

Big Brother 10 State Of The House – What We Know Pre-Premiere – Spoilers

| July 11, 2008 at 11:17 AM EDT

Big Brother 10 Houseguests

With just two days to go until the premiere of Big Brother 10 I think it’s important to get everyone on the same page with a “what do we know so far” review of rumors which have been, so far, widely accepted as fact.

First up, there are 13 houseguests this year (unlike last year’s 14) and for the first time since the third season, no one knows anyone else in the group. Phew. Undoubtedly there will be twists along the way, but at least for Big Brother 10 it won’t involve unknown relations or any of that nonsense.

Update: Allison Grodner confirmed to Julie Chen this morning on The Early Show that there would be no twists in Big Brother 10, just “back to the basics”. Awesome! You spoke, they listened.

Next, the houseguests entered the BB10 house on Tuesday night. Before they went in everyone had to make a HoH selection based purely on first impressions. That HoH selection was… Jerry, the 75 year old great-grandfather.
