Daniele Donato came in to the Big Brother 13 house with a chip on her shoulder. During a preseason SuperPass event with Ragan Fox, Daniele stated she was “robbed” in season 8. She repeated that same “robbed” sentiment yet again last night in explaining why she returned to the game. That deserves a quick refresher.
In Season 8, Daniele came in second and won $50,000 after her father, Evel Dick, picked her over Zach to go to the Final 2. She was practically gifted $50K and second place after losing the last three HoH comps (Wk 10 + Final HoH parts 1 & 2), yet still complains that she was robbed. I haven’t a clue how she was robbed. While Daniele often likes to make her problems everyone else’s fault (hence the frequently quoted “it’s naaahhhtttt faaaaiiirrr”), she has little room to blame others this year.
A week ago Daniele was sitting pretty in this game. She had a Golden Key through no efforts of her own and could coast through the first four weeks of the game doing nothing but focusing on building social relationships and keeping the strongest alliance, the Veterans, on track to insure her safety. Instead Daniele got greedy, overplayed her hand, moved too soon and too fast, and has now effectively sunk any hope she had at winning the half-million dollar prize. I’m ready to propose Daniele has no chance of winning this season and here’s why.
Tonight on Big Brother 13 we’ll get to watch the next PoV competition play out with the survival of Adam and Dominic on the line yet again. The past few days have been insane in the Big Brother house and it’s only going to get better. Starting over this past weekend the Veterans became aware of a snake in their alliance which turned out to be Daniele. Ever since then they’ve been exposing her betrayal and cleaning house. The fights have been breaking out all over the place and it’s only going to get worse as we march on to Thursday’s live eviction show. The game is finally starting to come alive!
Check back in tomorrow morning for another episode review by BB12′s Matt Hoffman.
If you haven’t been watching the BB13 Live Feeds then you’ve been missing the real game and there’s no way CBS is going to be able to show most of what’s been done and said in the house. You can catch it all on Flashback which lets you jump to any day and any time in the season. Go ahead and grab the Free Trial right now.
Things calmed down a bit on Tuesday in the Big Brother house after Monday’s insanity. The late night crew stayed up well in to the east coast morning so they were late to rise and get back to their futile efforts. Never fear though because before the day was over Dominic found himself pleading for his life to the Veterans while throwing every Newb under the ol’ Big Brother 13 bus.
Big Brother 13 Live Feed Highlights – July 26, 2011:
The next eviction is just two days away on Big Brother. At this point things look pretty solid for which HG is heading home, but since even that HG thinks he has a chance lets run through our weekly exercise of “who has the votes.”
This Thursday there will be only eight votes which leaves the option for a tie-breaker by Rachel as the current HoH. That means to be completely safe either nominee needs at least five votes to avoid any interference from Rachel. This week’s likely evictee has been busy counting votes with Lawon and Daniele, but he keeps making the mistake of thinking he can get votes from HGs buried deep in the Vets’ pockets. Lets review where everyone is at this point.
After a tumultuous day in the Big Brother house the Veteran alliance came together late last night for a mini House meeting which was more of an alliance meeting as none of the Newbs were invited or participated. Instead the fifty minute exchange featured a perturbed Daniele, a defensive Daniele, and a joyous, cheerful Daniele. Well, not that last one. It was mostly just Daniele pissed off at the group while she should have been angry at herself for completely blowing her once strong position.
What a difference a deception makes in the game. Monday was the most rowdy, aggressive day we’ve seen so far this season. Heated arguments were breaking out all day while backroom deals were exposed and betrayals uncovered. Big Brother 13 is finally starting to come alive and it could turn in to a real monster after all.
