Big Brother 25: Season Reaches Halfway Point

Julie Chen and Big Brother 25

We’re officially neck deep in the longest season of Big Brother evah! Welcome to Day 50 of the 100-day BB25 season as eleven Houseguests remain. Make that just nine after Thursday’s Double Eviction!

The Big Brother 25 season kicked off way, way back on August 2nd with seventeen HGs and has been marching along steadily since, minus a few surprises like that one HG we’ve all forgotten who earned a boot from the house. In comparison, at this point on the calendar last year we were down to four HGs and quickly approaching the final HOH trio of competitions. So things are feeling way different for this mid-September pace of the game.

Another fifty days to go starting tomorrow which will have its own fireworks to celebrate that (not literally, of course) with the upcoming DE and a group of HGs just chomping at the bit for an excuse and opportunity to swing for the outgoing HOH who will be sitting in a very vulnerable spot with mounting opposition. Should be a good start to the second half of Big Brother 25!

And just how does production plan to get us through another fifty days of Big Brother? There are about to be nine HGs left, seven weeks to go to finale night, and seven Jurors to fill those chairs to crown a winner.

Given that Big Brother is reverting to a seven person jury it seems possible for them to make the rest without another Double Eviction unless we get a Battle Back. With no Battle in the first half of the season we may still get one in the back half and if they do then they’ll need another DE to balance it out. Without a second DE or Battle then we’d work our way down to a F3 come November 2nd, a week ahead of the finale.

It’s been a long run so far in the longest season ever but it’s definitely been a fun one. We’ve had some great ups and downs and I’m hoping these HGs won’t burn out ahead of the finish line. Heck, I hope we don’t either! But we’ll keep our coverage going to join us on Facebook and Twitter plus download our Big Brother App for more updates! Be sure to note we have a NEW Facebook Page due to FB screwing up our longstanding one.
