Big Brother 24 Twist: Festie Besties – What We Know So Far

Even before the new Big Brother twist arrived it was a busy night on the BB24 live feeds as the houseguests reacted to the first eviction of the summer and the Head of Household power shift. We also managed to get some information from the BB24 houseguests about how this week’s Besties Twist was going to play out on Big Brother 24. Read on to find out what we know!

If you remember, Julie hinted at a new twist that was going to be introduced to the game in her interview with Us Weekly last week. Julie told us very minimal information about this twist but did mention that the houseguests would be paired up. After watching the Big Brother live feeds throughout the overnight hours, we know who those pairs are. Here’s a list:

Festie Besties Pairs:

  • Turner & Jasmine
  • Joseph & Monte
  • Daniel & Kyle
  • Indy & Alyssa
  • Michael & Brittany
  • Ameerah & Terrance
  • Nicole & Taylor

As we also know, Turner is this week’s Head of Household and according to the HGs, this means that Jasmine will be safe this week because she is his Bestie. As we can see from the list of pairings, all the Poe’s Pack alliance members (Monte, Kyle, Alyssa, Michael, Ameerah, and Nicole) are paired up with people outside of their alliance. This was strategically maneuvered so that there was no chance that they wouldn’t be put up together.

The houseguests also confirmed that the Power of Veto will also be played in pairs and only one chip will be pulled from the box. The person’s name who is picked and their Bestie will join Turner, Jasmine, and the nominated pair in the Veto competition. If one of the nominees wins this week’s Power of Veto Competition, that Bestie pair is safe from the block and eviction. That means that Turner will then have to put a new set of Besties on the block at the Veto Ceremony.

The last thing we know about this twist has to do with the upcoming eviction on Thursday night. There will be some kind of power given to whichever nominee survives the block and remains in the house.

One thing that remains unclear is how long this twist is going to last. There has been some speculation, but I’m expecting that we won’t know that detail until Sunday night’s episode airs.

Tell me what you think about this twist in the comments below. Which pair are you expecting to see on the block?
