Big Brother 22 Rumors: CBS Schedule Shows Mystery Episode

CBS schedule on July 12th

The mystery of Big Brother 22 continues with a new tip from former RHAP’er Alex Kidwell that CBS has set aside a block of time in their schedule for a yet to be named, but potentially BB22 related event.

Looking ahead on CBS’s schedule on Sunday, July 12th there is a one-hour block between 60 Minutes and NCIS set squarely at 8PM with no name or description attached (see the above image). Of course, Sundays at 8PM is Big Brother territory but Sunday isn’t the series’ typical premiere day. According to Kidwell, “it’s not a premiere but it’s definitely something #BB22.”

If we’re going to speculate then it’s possible this could be an introduction to the season and with the rumors of the 2020 season of Big Brother bringing back former Houseguests this could be a voting or lottery event for BB22. You’ll remember for BB7 All-Stars the first episode revealed which six HGs the producers had selected and then viewers got to vote in the other six. Those selections were made out of an original pool of twenty returning players leaving eight with dashed hopes outside the front door.

America’s Vote could be run online quickly after a special kickoff episode on the night of July 12th with HGs being sent into the house right away so production could start a first few days of filming ahead of the premiere date later that week, as the series typically does. That’s a lot of speculation on my part but it feels reasonable and I wouldn’t be shocked to see it go down this way.

What do you think could be happening for Big Brother 22? Are the rumors of returning HGs likely? Are we going to see BB22 in less than two weeks?
