  1. Great advise from Robyn! I can’t wait to show ’em what I’ve got. Hope they post the Chicago casting call dates soon!

  2. Still no Chicago dates yet, but keep checking. Kassting Inc is rolling out new dates pretty steadily.

BB12 is still almost 4 months away but I’m already getting excited!

  3. i hope ya’ll review my last interview and call me back i really am ready to be in the HOUSE

  4. @mikee: Kassting Inc. has said that they review every single submission so I’m sure they’ll take a look at what you sent.

  5. do I send application and bring appiication to the casting? Do they make vedio for you? Please let me know soon bedcause due date is 03/17 and casting date 03/27 cant wait

  6. @Jeanette: Last year the requirements were to bring 2 things to the audition events: 1) a completed application 2) a photocopy of a valid ID.

Since you’re meeting them in person I do not believe you have to submit a separate video tape.

I’ve submitted the “what to bring” question to Kassting Inc for confirmation and will let you know what I hear back.

Update: Kassting Inc told me the casting attendees should also bring 2 photos (copies you don’t mind giving up) in addition to the other two items.

  7. Oh how I wish I was 21 already. However, once I am, I will be applying year after year until I am as old as Jerry. Hopefully the show lasts another 5 years so I can at least apply once.

  8. @ambs: It’s rumored that the app deadline is 3/17, but the application says there is no deadline. I’d recommend sending in your application immediately and/or going to a casting event.

@Hunter: Welcome back for another season.

  9. Matt, Thank you I sent out my application and I will bring one on the casting date. I will keep on checking for more information. If there is anything else I can do please let me know. So I have two minutes to convenes the producer that I really want to be Big Brother Houseguest .

  10. @Jeannette: Please note that you also need to bring 2 photos to the casting event. This is in addition to the other set of items you’re required to bring.

  11. 2 questions:
1)I submitted an audition tape this past week but in 3 weeks there is an open call a few hours away from me. Do you think that its a good idea to show up to that in addition to submitting the tape?
    2) I read somewhere that if someone else videotapes your audition tape that they need to sign a release form, but I couldnt find that kind of a form anywhere. Is this true? I hope not since I already submitted my application and there was nothing included in there for them to sign.

  12. @ 13. Kait – I would go to the casting call, also. If they are interested in your tape, they will contact you to interview when they are in your area. If you get no call, why not go to the casting call and try again. IMO, the more they see you, the better your chances!

  13. this is just for people in the usa?maybe for bb13 u come out to VANCOUVER BC, CANADA.watched every show.

  14. @Jason: Yes, Big Brother is only open to the ol’ US of A’ers. Sorry.

@Kait: I agree with ChiBrad. Definitely better to double up your chances especially if the casting event is that close to you.

  15. This will be the fist audition that i’ve ever attended in my life! Can anyone tell me what to expect? I don’t want to rehearse what i’m going to say but I want to be somewhat prepared.

  16. Thanks for saying that if I don’t get a call to show up to the auditions….

When I made my tape, after being snowed in for a MONTH, I looked like the side of a barn, even though I’m a size 4/6….

So, yes, I’ll show up a lot thinner!!

I might bring a boom box and teach everyone the “Cupid Shuffle” as long as we are standing there, bored out of our minds….

    Love the site, BTW…

    Ciao, Teri

  17. matt i was interviwed last april for BB and got sent to LA for finals but was to old for what they wanted fort that season ( they told me i would be on top of the list to be called this season) should i still go for a casting interview again????

  18. @Mikee: I don’t know what they have in mind for this season or if they’re planning to get back in touch with you, but it could never hurt to attend a casting event.

  19. Can’t wait for the Rockford one next week! Already got an appointment to get my hair done.

People laugh when I say I’m gonna audition for BB; say I’d be better for Biggest Loser. I’m not THAT out of shape, definetely in better shape then Jerry was, and I don’t let people try to stop me from doing what I wanna do. Screw the haters =D

  20. Applied in the past, will b there again this year! Watch out BB12, Louisiana’s gonna “stand up & get crunked”! I WILL C U at the Louisiana auditions!

  21. To Kris that will audition in Rockford…

Don’t worry…I was SHOCKED when I saw Ronnies gut last year!! Hopefully, BB will be as non-judgemental on women… Maybe that is why there are so many women with eating disorders. I never hear of a man with an eating disorder…eh?

I put in my application and I’m 52!! I’ll be at the GSO open call 4/7/2010.

So, keep your chin up and your eyes on the stars….

    Today’s dreams are tomorrow’s accomplishments!

    Good luck, sweetie.

  22. Hi all my buddies in BB land! I sent in my application, video, pictures and i.d.’s by express mail so I know for a fact they recieved it. However, Jack Roper told me about a last minute casting call near me on the 16th of April.I’m defenitely going the night before to make sure I am atleast one of the first in the door. There’s also gonna be one in Charlotte, nc, which isn’t that far for me either, so I might go to both!! I guess I need to print & fill out 2 more applications and make more pictures to be prepared. If anyone has any suggestions or comments for me, they would be greatly appreciated. LOL, “ANGELWINGS”

  23. I trying out and I dont care what other people say what do they know. Angela you are getting help by a weather man on CBS so ggod luck.

  24. Teri, I am 53 I say lets make a new show young VS old we will show them oh yeh,
    That will so cool.
keep on writing mabe Robyn kass will read this comment we have to keep trying

  25. Hey everyone! I’ll be going to my first casting call in Oklahoma this year and was wondering if anyone knew how early I should get there to wait in line? It’s only open for 4 hours so I wanna be there early. Anyone else going to hard rock casting call??

  26. Thanks Jeannette! You know it was really odd, the 2weeks when I was trying to get my video shot, everything was going wrong. Then out of the blue I heard Jack was coming to town for a food drive, it was like God sent him to me.So, I went door-to-door collecting can foods to take to him. He was so appreciative that he let me be on the news with him that day.He was very nice and cool about everything we talked about.I even found out he loves homeade chicken salad!HA!HA! I was very greatful to find out about the casting calls, atleast now I can talk to them in person instead of on a ridiculous video I crammed together.Anyway, I have always said God makes things happen for reasons, so I pray he has a good plan in store for me!! It would be great if all of us made it in the house together, ya’ll sound like really nice people!Gotta go wash some clothes{OH WHAT FUN!}, Check back in a few. LOL! “ANGELWINGS”

  27. Hey guys it’s my first time too…Do you really think that I will have to get there the night before…My casting call is in Overland Park KS on April 10th… I am so excited!!!

  28. How long do we have to meet with the producers at open the open casting call, anyone know???

  29. @ Michelle, DO NOT get there the night before, it’s an entire waste of time. If you get there an hour before, you’ll get in soon. The lines move pretty quickly, the interview only takes a couple of minutes, so pull out all the stops!

  30. Hi Michelle and ChiBrad good luck to you both. I am really starting to get excited. They finally put the casting call for Spartanburg SC on the website, that’s the closest one to me and I still might go to Charlotte also just to better my chances or would that be frowned upon by trying too hard? If anyone has advice for me I’m alays open for suggestions! Thanks!LOL!!! “ANGELWINGS”

  31. Ideas for the Big Brother theme … Producers could research themes from Big Brother programs around the world from the Neitherlands to the UK…Find which programs recieved the highest ratings and iummulate their themes…Really popular themes around the world are poor and rich and heaven and hell…Perhaps you could get some spin ideas from this as well… GOD BLESS

  32. I think the heaven and hell theme would be HUGE !!! My reasoning is Christ is really big right now … All over the news … You could split the rooms into two sections heaven and hell… People who loose challenges and go to Hell … If they win they can go to Heaven… The Big Brother house voice could be the voice of GOD … If you would see your fan pages….they have used the angel demon theme and have been quite successfull with this…http://www.myspace.com/bbheaven … I think you have a base fan group … The idea is too think outside of the box… Religion is controversial … 25 million Christains live in America … Different religions could spark debate and draws an outside Christain audience to watch and every relaigion associated…In-turn the Hell theme would allow for the provoctive issue because sex does sell … Region brings heated debate … Heated Debate fuels ratings… GOD BLESS…

  33. Something to think about Jonathan. Thanks for your comment. Well I definitely wouldn’t be in the rich portion, and honestly, sometimes I don’t know if I’m in heaven or hell on earth, so could you elaborate more on that ryhm to get me to thinking outside the box. Because it will definitely take something very different to get their attention I believe. I have a couple of ideas I’m working on right now to bring with me to the casting call! Please talk more with me! LOL!!! “ANGELWINGS”

  34. Wow! Great idea to put your facebook on here. This is mine.

    http://www.facebook.com/home.php?#!/profile.php?ref=profile&id=100000069445844

I don’t have the internet at home, (I live on a beautiful 40 acre farm BUT, in the middle of BFE…Bum F* Egypt) but I go to town at least twice a week and can check my facebook.

LOVE the idea of the heaven and HELL… Of course, I’d be on the heaven side (LOL)…although I’ve lived through HELL…

Angela, don’t get too stressed out about the interview. It seems like you have it together and will do well.

Jeannette, LOVE THE IDEA!! I’m ready!! I run my own 40 acre farm and am a size 4/6, but am tall… I’d rock their world… Show them why WINE is better with age… The younger kids only know ‘whine’….LOL

Just kidding, you ‘youngin’s’ don’t send me HATE mail, I’m just messing around…I love kids.

We are all equal in the eyes of God. Hope Robyn Kass believes that, too…

Mazel to those who get on….I’ll still watch!

    Teri

  35. Teri, I love children and all people I just want to find a way for more older people can go on a show, I think it would be funny if you remember Jerry falling in the pool yelling at the young man I think of his name.
With Heaven and Hell you would have more people trying not just giving up hoping to stay longer. well tommorrow is my casting so wish me LUCK any advise

  36. OMG!! Good Luck!! Be yourself, because if you are not yourself, it will disappoint them. PLEASE LET ME KNOW HOW IT GOES!!

BREAK A LEG! IN BOCCA LUPO!

    Teri Orlando

  37. the last thing you want to do at an interview is tell the producers how the show should run. go there, be yourself, and if they think you are interseting they will pick you

  38. Sup BB’ers? I waz in Baton Rouge today for the 1st of the Open Calls! In the middle of the Jeep Dealership, Wow! The guy interviewing I get to smile but the camera man was kinda blah, musta forgot to eat his Wheaties this mornin’. I was #12 at about 1:30 and only had about 2-3 more peeps behind me. Anyone knows how many total showed? Well l8r, c ya on l8r posts, better yet…BB12! Peace out 4 now! ;)

  39. I had a great time a lot of joking around making our little aliances because we were the first 20 people 9:00 am waiting until 11:00 the crew is very nice people. A lot of people came after 11:00 . They interview two people at a time .
I not sure if I said enough because 2 min go fast. Just be yourself. It was interesting one producer thought I was funny. I was done at 12:00 noon it goes very fast. Do not bring a lot of stuff because you have to hold it and walk that was one of my mistakes. You nee4d to be ready and listen. Have fun when you go

  40. Thanks!!

I’m glad it all went well for you…

I need to ask you some more ??’s….

    sleeplessn2009 at yahoo dot com

  41. that interview today was nothiong like last year // last year it was all confidental this year everybody abd their grandmaws could hear ya // you right joey camerman was out there/ i wish he would have been standing behind the interviewer// its kinda hard to talk to the person whos asking the questions when you have to look into the camera

  42. oh by the way i ‘m that funny old man that was in front of the girl in front of you

  43. Hey Jeannette, Glad to hear it went well. I’m sure you did great!I’ll be rooting for you. I still have about 2&1/2 more weeks to wait for my audition. I’m trying to get prepared but I will definitely be glad to get it over with so I can finally rest a while. Please send me some comments anyone! Always glad to hear from friends. LOL! “ANGELWINGS”

  44. the producer last yerar told me yhay maen dick had applied 6 times . good luck to you too hope to see ya in LA.

  45. IF YOU WATCHED MY INTERVIEW WHICH I DOUBT CAUSE YOU WAS BUSY TALKING TO THAT GOOD LOOKING GIRL …,, BUT HOW DID I DO IN YOUR EYES DUMB OR DUMBER

  46. Mikee, I have a couple of question’s. When you first step up in front of the interviewers, do you just start talking your pitch, or do they just ask question’s and you answer. Iv’e been thinking about what all I would like to say so they can understand why I want to be picked & what makes me unique. If you can give me any ideas of how to go about this at the interview it would be greatly appreciated.LOL! “ANGELWINGS”

  47. @ AngelWings

Saw ur post and I’m sure Mikee would agree with me on this. I’ve been to several Open Auditions and even though some are private and some are open the format is basically the same. You arrive, go to the sign in table, they give you an envelope with a number on it. That’s ur call #. When ready for the interview (audition) you stand (some cases sit) in front of the interviewer and answer questions he/she present to you. It’s pretty well staged you only have @2 min and the questons asked by the interviewer need to be answered. A suggestion is to bring a VHS tape or DVD of yourself and include it in your application packet. On that you can have at it and talk all about you, just keep in mind it cannot exceed 2 min. Also, auditions seem to vary on how they are handled for instance, a couple of years ago I was auditioned in Groups because of the amout of people that were ther. It was like a group discussion (that’s the year Renny made it on). Last year I was brought in a room for a private interview (no camera), this time was in public in the middle of a car dealership. So you see it all varies. Best of luck with ur interview (audition). ~Joey – N.O. Region #10

  48. Thanks Joey! I have already sent in a video along with application & photos. I have another application ready along with photos, but no video. Not sure if I’ll have time to get another one made before then. The casting call I’m going to will be in Spartanburg,SC on the 16th of April. The city is no where big as the other cities where they are auditioning, so like you said there’s no way to know what to expect. Well, I guess I’ll just do what I’ve been doing, winging it and letting god guide me on what to do next. Thanks for your answers. If you have anymore suggestions for me it will be appreciated. LOL! “ANGELWINGS”

  49. Hey everyone! I went to the casting call in Catoosa, OK on saturday and our setup was different. We were all in one big room with a camera at the front of the room. There were no interviewers there, we just had 2 minutes to talk in front of the camera and that was it. It was nerve-wracking since everyone was listening to what you were saying and I wish people had been there to prompt you with questions instead. Best of luck to everyone else out there!

  50. Thank Joey same to you! Although I don’t have high hopes for this season since the pressure got to me and i stumbled over my words the whole time! I was hoping for a room with no other contestants where people would interview me. I might go to one in Texas later, they probably just have producers at bigger venues

  51. @ Mikee

Nah Mikee, I was listening, but yea that girl was cute! I like u Mikee, ur funny and natural! Best of luck to ya dude! ~Joey N.O. Region #10 hey what happened to my earlier post? Where’d dey gooooooo?

  52. ANGELA ALL THE QUESTIONS THEY WILL ASK R ON THE APPLICATION.BUT THEY DID ASK ME IF ANYTHING INTERESTING EVER HAPPENED TO ME /// WELL HE WOULD NEED ALL DAY WITH ME TO HEAR SOME OF THOSE THINGS /// BUT YES YOU FILL OUT THE APPLICATION AND ANSWER THOSE QUESTION AND WHEN YOU GO TO INTERVIEW YOU WILL BE READY // DON’T SAY YES AND NO GO OFF AND TELL THEM WHY WHEN WHERE AND HOW COME BUT BE YOURSELF NO PHONEY BALONEY

  53. JOEY REGION #10 U DA MAN // I THINK IM GOING TO GO TO HARD ROCK IN NEW ORLEANS AOR 3 FOR THAT INTERVIEW TOO, I JUST DIDNT FEEL RIGHT IN BATON ROUGE. KNOW WHAT I MEAN

  54. Hi guys, I talked to Christy this morning, a worker at cbs channel 7. She told me that for the casting call I will be attending at Spartanburg SC on the 16th, will have a private room with a camera setup and interviewers present you get 2 minutes to talk & answer question’s they might ask. I am anxious to get it over with & definitely excited.Good Luck to all you guys that are trying out!!!If I can help anyone out with advice or suggestion’s, please let me know!I,m slways glad to hear from people! LOL! “ANGELWINGS”

  55. Joey & Mikee, Thanks for all the comments you’ve beeen sending you both sound like really cool guys I wish I could meet everyone in person and hang out.I truly do wish everybody luck!!Please keep sending comments, I’m always glad to hear from friends! LOL!
    “ANGELWINGS”

  56. did anybody from California went to the casting?
If you did how did you feel about it?

  57. Hey guys, what’s up!?

So I basically wanted to take some second opinions, especially after watching the video above…

Pretty much, i’ve been wanting to get on this show FOREVER. Like you guys, i’m a huge fan that knows the show up and down like no other and i’ve been dying to get on, I don’t want to wait til i’m 21 to simply apply (and maybe not even get on).

Soo…problem. I’m 18 (would be 19 at the time of the show), but yeah, obviously it’s an issue.

I was considering taking a risk anyway, going down to Yonkers in NY (conveniently also my homewtown) for the open casting call, also missing my college classes for the day in the process. But why not take a risk?

Pretty much, I figure that way, they can’t just “throw out” my audition tape, and I can have the chance to possibly meet them in person and impress them.

Anyways, I really just wanted some second opinions on this. What do you guys think? Good idea, bad idea, horrible idea? Any feedback is appreciated!

  58. @ Joe

Well Mighty Joe Young here’s my thoughts. In her video Robyn states don’t bother applying if your not 21, so with that I don’t think that I would lose a day of classes for naught, but I think I would however mail in an application and a video of urself and let them know in the video how determind u r. I would do that every year until ur of age (21)! Mayb with that they’ll take particuliar notice to u when u turn 21 and show up at open call! Remember many peeps who made it took 2, 3, some up to 6 yrs before making it on! Best of luck 2 u & hope 2 c u on BB 15!

  59. LOL @ Mighty Joe Young hahah!

Thanks for the advice, Joey. I think you’re right.

My only concern is do you think I should really bother mailing in an application if i’m under 21, since, as she said, they will just “go in the trash?” Will it even be worth it, do you think they would even remember my name come when I am 21?

Or would they remember my name in a negative manner for disregarding the rules and filling out an application anyway?

  60. Joe, I’m like the other’s it can’t hurt to try.Even if they do trash it, maybe next time they will still remember the name! Good Luck 2 ya!LOL! “ANGELWINGS”

  61. @ Joe

Nah, don’t believe they would get mad, just shows ambition. Seems like worse could happen is they throw it in the trash. Here’s an idea, get one of those sticky notes and write on it that u are 18 but u heard it can sometimes take a few years to get on BB so u are jumping the gun. Heck, u can even write that on ur application where it say’s D.O.B.! Shows ambition! Remember they want u to rattle off on the apps, not just “yes” & “no” answers…use the back when answering if nessesary! U R “Mighty Joe Young” for cryin out loud…go for it!

  62. thanks for the offer but got plans with the daughter eariler ( crawfish boil and fried fish) easter i’ll be in the woods so i got to spend some time with her. maybe a beer r two after. see ya there

  63. I think smoking is unattractive…should be restricted in the Big Brother house…yuck !!! Irritable people would probably make for good TV… Send those smokers to Big Brother rehab… ha ha ha

  64. Matt would know for sure, Joey C., but I don’t think so. There are some very serious contenders, though, so I wish you (us) all the best of luch. Let’s get a BBN’er in the house this summer!

  65. Of course by NO means am I a voice of authority on this subject, but I’ve heard through the grapevine a while back someone mentioning that peeps that post on these type of blogs r usually not picked…dunno, I would like to think this is not true! Was hoping someone would have some substantial evidence to find fault in that statement! Robyn or the powers that be of Big Brother, wanna shout out to this and enlighten us?

  66. Robyn was asked in a recent interview if it would help or hinder one’s chances of getting on the show by their involvement with previous houseguests, blogs, etc. She said it would do either, she will put the best people in the house, regardless. I’m sure if one makes it to semi-finals or beyond, they are advised not to put themselves out there on sites like this. If you get the chance to move forward in the selection process, I’d not even bring it up just to be on the safe side.

  67. Hi guys, great comments to think about.I know on alot of my posts, I have said things that I might not should have, but that’s just the way I am.I open my mouth and whatever first pops up in my head usually comes out.I try to be very open & honest about what I say though!I still have some things that I’m working on as far as strategy, but at this point, I know it’s best to keep some secrets to myself! If you have any more suggestions about anything let me know. Oh, I was also wondering, do they have any photos of the new house for this season yet, if so, where can I find them. I would like to see what the house is gonna look like! LOL! “ANGELWINGS”

  68. @ ChlBrad

I hear ya bro! I just find it strange. I visit a lot of BB blogs & none of them have ever been represented on BB, just find that strange…may b coincidence though.

    @ AngelWings

Pics of house usually aren’t released till mid to late August. They usually sneek out around then!

  69. Thanks Joey, My son was on some google images website one night and there were some pics. of the house but I wasnt sure if those were the real ones. It was really cool if they were. It had a big fireplace and cool art pics on the walls it had flames & stuff everywhere. The color scheme was like a burgundy and silver, black. One of the walls had a sign said “PAPARAZZI”. I wish it would look like that because it was awesome looking!!!Anyway, guess we’ll have to wait and see! I have been to New Orleans once in my life, would love to go back but it’s just to far and I can’t afford it right now, but it sounds like ya’ll will have a blast! Think of me while you’re there!LOL! “ANGELWINGS”

  70. i just checked again its at hard rock cafe //// don’t go to the wrong place. you old drunk.

  71. YOU GOT TO BE KIDDING I’LL BE PLAYING TEXAS HOLD UM AND EATING THERE AND DRINKING SOME PEARLY POPS WITH FOAM ON TOP, GOT A ROOM CAN GET DRUNK AS A SKUNK AND CRASH, BUT THANKS YA THINK THEY MIGHT BE LOTS OF PLP THERE

  72. @Joey: I’m going to side with ChiBrad on the topic of getting picked and involvement with sites like this. I’ve never heard anything to make me think it hurts your chances. Plus, Kassting is looking for the best people and I doubt they have time to search all the sites and then try to collate who is associated with screen names.

If you’re the right person for the season, then they’re going to pick you unless you run a Colombian drug ring or have a habit of getting picked up by the cops for this or that.

  73. @ Matt

Got cha, like I said, only was something I had heard and was wondering and asking for other input. Just would b very encouraging to know that someone out of all the BB Blog sites would have been a house guest on one of the past 11 BB’s.

    @ Mikee

Yea dude, I’m on the right page! LOL! Got mixed up. I have to run by House Of Blues before Hard Rock to drop off a contract, that’s where I get mixed up. You said “DRUNK Ol Man”? LOL, I take offense to that, lol…I’m not really that old! LOL!

  74. hi all I went to the Austin open call it was outside no ope asking questions but it was very windy and kinda weird only like 100 people were there I was #13 and we just talked in front of the camera dose anyone know how long till they call if they want you to go to a 2nd interview????

  75. Joe 82 I have been posting on this site for over two years I never read anything about a person who has been pick for Big Brother just writing a post. I have seen past guest on other web sites who were fans of Big Brother and houseguest.

  76. Dspencer, I herd it takes three weeks or longer. well I doing another viedo I ddid not like my first one so I going to try again.

  77. I was thinking about doing a video as well but I dont know sometimes it is funny to meet all the people who went out there was a guy who was in the guinness book of world records some kinda of power lift and some dude who tried to act like evil Dick he said he had never seen the show but he was all talk we all knew he was like the super fan just acting a bunch of guys who use to be girls lol but they were cool but all in all a fun day standing in line I just hope they liked me and get to atleast the 1st call back so I can rub it in my husbands face who thought I was stupid for trying out

  78. Open Call @ Hard Rock in N.O. was one of the best Open Calls I’ve attended! Most relaxed atmosphere, weather was great, interview was held on the 2nd floor balcony over looking the French Quarter! Thnx for a fantastic open call! Mikee, great hangin with u 2day! U my idol! ;) ~Joey Connor Region #10

  79. Jeannettte, if you’re still out there, could you let us know the questions they asked you in L.A.?

  80. Hi guys glad to hear it went well in the French Quarters. Sounds like ya’ll had alot of fun.
@ Dspencer– I’m going for a casting call April 16th. I’ve already sent in my app.,pics.,and video, but I figured I’d give it a shot in person too! My husband thought I was crazy for doing this at first, but he’s being encouraging now, he knows how much this means to me. But, like you I want to rub it in his face too if I make it.I’m a common 37yr. old housewife with 2 teens & been married 18yrs. Anyway good to hear from everyone. I wish everybody the best of luck!!! LOL! “ANGELWINGS”

  81. I really hope that this season would be heaven and hell. I am in the top spot for voting on Reality wanted right now… and it just so happens im Wiccan and tattooed to all get out. I would be PERFECT for the hell section. I found this site on a wim doing some research in prep if i was to get casted. I must say I really like it and what people have said. Wish me luck and vote if you like:) Danielle

  82. What about Louisville,Kentucky. I’m a big fan waiting for Big Brother to come visit us in Louisville,Ky.

  83. 11:00 pm sunday night and no call guess they dont like me anymore did u hear anything joey????

  84. @ 109.0 Lizveth, Robyn Kass said in a recent interview that she would not cast anyone who was on a major reality show, such as The Bachelor. If you were on a minor show years ago, she said that it wouldn’t matter. Matt from BB9 was on Fear Factor.

  85. Same here @-Angela I am 28 housewife of a mom of 2 boys I did not know what to say but I hope they liked what I did.@- Joey Connor Region #10 Was there a-lot of people at the N.O. casting call?

  86. I was wondering if anyone knows what to expect at the Open Casting Calls. I am going Sunday to the one in Atlanta and now I’m getting really nervous. Will it be like an interview or more like a 2 minute time frame to talk about myself and why I want to be in the House?? Any tips would be extremely helpful!!

  87. Hey Mikee,

Looks like our boy Joey got call, seeing how he hasn’t responded to you asking about it. Way to go Joey!! Good Luck to all who applied, I was at the French Quarter open call as well. Such a good time!

  88. Hi guys, how is everyone doing? @DSpencer- I’m sure you did great! You sound like a great gal. How old are your boys? I have a 17yr. old daughter and a 14yr. old boy. They are really excited about me trying out. They think it would be awesome if I got on the show. We all watch “BB” together every year. I’m starting to get nervous, my casting call is on the 16th. I am ready to get it over with. Anyway, it was good to hear from you, please send more comments my way-Anybody!!! I’m always glad to hear from my “BB” BUDDIES!!! LOL! “ANGELWINGS”

  89. I herd they ask different question at casting calls. some of the calls you have to talk for 2 min. Go over your application be yourself that is what Robyn Kass said to all the people at the casting call. They will talk to you.

  90. Hi everyone I’m 21 from DC and I just went to the BB12 open call in Greensboro and I think that I did a good job. When I think back on it I realize that there were so more things that I could have mentioned. I thought about going to the one in Charlotte on May 1st but I don’t want it to seem like I’m doing too much (because I also mailed in an application and tape). Any suggestions as to if I should go?

  91. @Malecia

I would say no. If you went to an open call, and also sent in a tape, then they definitely have enough information to determine if they want you in the mix this year.

BTW- Has anyone heard anything about Semi’s. When they are supposed to start?

I think our boy Joey has one. Cheers to that!!

  92. @Malecia- I also sent in everything and I’m going to a casting call in Spartanburg on the 16th(NEXT FRDAY), I also thought about going to the one in Charlotte. Maybe I’ll see you there. I say give it all you got, the more they see you maybe you will stand out! Anyway, good luck!!! Please send more comments, I’m always glad to hear from my “BB” BUDDIES!!!
    LOL!!! “ANGELWINGS”

  93. @Angela my boys are 4 and 7 yeah I am kinda getting sad my open call was like a week ago and no word yet but hey there is always next year cant always get it on your 1st go around but here is hopeing well good luck everyone hope to be rooting for one of u all

  94. @DSpencer-Wow, you have your hands full with those boys I bet.Don’t get discouraged because you haven’t heard anything yet. You know they have to go through hundreds of app’s. before they choose the right ones. It could take a couple of weeks or more.Did you send in a video & app. as well as go to the casting call? It couldn’t hurt you know. I sent in everything about 2 weeks ago and haven’t heard anything yet, but I’m not giving up. I’m gonna go to the audition with flames burning and if I still don’t here anything, I might even go to another casting call in Charlotte NC! The more chances the better. Anyway, glad you commented back, and I know you are anxiuos, but hang in there, it ain’t over till the fat lady sings!!! please comment more, I’m always glad to hear from my “BB” BUDDIES!!
    LOL!!! “ANGELWINGS”

  95. Hi Kate, How are you? Did you try out for this season? I’m waiting for my casting call date on the 16th. Comment back sometime, I’m always glad to hear from my “BB” BUDDIES!!! “ANGELWINGS”

  96. Sorry, DSpencer and Angela. If you went to an open call and you didn’t get a call back from that, then you aren’t getting one. Unless you actually got a call back from the open call (they notify you the very next day to come in the following day or day after, before they leave)then it might be a couple of weeks to hear back from that one. That’s when they invite you to L.A.

  97. @Katie– Thank’s for the info. I haven’t been to my casting call yet, it is next Friday the 16th at Spartanburg SC!I need advice on a couple other things! I’m going to take a couple of prop’s with me to use in part of my audition, Has anyone else used prop’s before & did they help or a waste of time & trouble???

Also, Spartanburg SC, is kinda small especially compared to the other big cities. They don’t have big ordeals like the “BB” casting call in our areas much, so I’m assuming lot’s of people will show up.I watched “7 on your side” last night & they were talking about the casting call on there & they have been advertising it on news channel 7. At first, I thought about going the night before and just camping out on the sidewalk or whatever just so I could be one of the first ones in! Then, I thought about leaving around 3a.m. in morning & going{I live in Gaffney, SC-Home of the Big Peach!} It,s about 30 minutes away.Does anyone have any suggestions for me? Oh, and has anyone ever heard of Gaffney? please comment back!!!Alway’s glad to hear from my “BB” BUDDIES!!! “ANGELWINGS”

  98. Has anyone heard from Joey??? @chilibrad- Haven’t heard from you in a while either, how are things going? O.K., but slow for me!!!!
Comment back when you get a chance, tell Mikee & Joey C. to send me some comments too, if you talk to them!Thank’s!! “ANGELWINGS”

  99. @ANGELA no I did not send in a tape there were no producers atomy casting just the local station doing the video so that is why I still have hope but not much like I said always next year

  100. I’m still around, Angela, thanks for asking. I’m anxiously awaiting my call date on the 1st., and preping in the meantime. I put a package together with my app and pics and am waiting to get my pic taken for the body shot that will be hilarious! If anybody went to the L.A. call, please let me know what questions they asked, I want to be as prepared as possible. Good luck to everybody, especially to those who have fell silent recently ; )

Angela, of course bring some props – this is one case where you want to stand out from the rest of the sheep!

Dspencer, there is still a chance of a call since there were no agents at your call, Kassting may not have seen your tape yet so keep hope alive!

  101. If we r going to the open casting call do we still need to make the video to submit with the app or just bring the app??? Can any1 help me witht that??

  102. @ Dayna, you only need to bring your filled out app, a face and body pic, and a photocopy of both your i.d. and social security card. The larger cities will have agents from Kassting there to give you a quick interview. The rest of the locations are only to make the 2 min. tape for you and it will be sent in with the app, pics, etc. that you bring. Good luck and give it all you got!

  103. @DSpencer– I say don’t give up, who really knows what they might do, and when they will do it! I look at it like this, if it’s meant to be, God will help make it happen, but if it’s not, of course you always have next time!Good Luck to everyone!!
@ChiliBrad– Thanks for commenting back and I am gonna take a couple of props with me there not big so it shouldn’t be a problem. If anyone else has a comment or suggestion please send it my way! good to hear from you again!”ANGELWINGS”

  104. Hi Dayna, How’s it going? When is your casting call date & where? I’m going to one next Friday the 16th, at Spartanburg SC. I sent in an app., pics., & video about 3 weeks ago, but I’m gonna try out in person too, the more chances the better, I hope! Well, Good Luck 2 ya!! Comment back anytime, it’s always good to hear from my :BB” BUDDIES!!! “ANGELWINGS”

  105. Thanks all so good to be able to talk to people about this stuff good luck everyone

  106. @DSpencer– Looks like it’s just you & me tonight, the 2 mom’s who don’t have anything better to do on a weekend! It would be nice to go back to the younger years sometimes when life was carefree! I guess that’s one reason why I want to get on Bigbrother soooo bad! I want to show the world that there is more to housewifes & mom’s than just cleaning up after everybody!!! This mom would rock BB’s world this season if they picked me! Everybody that knows me say’s I’m about the craziest, coolest mom around!Anyway, how is your day going? Please comment back, I’m very bored right now!!! “ANGELWINGS”

  107. Angela, remmember if you bring things keep in a bag because you going to be writing and you need to be ready when they call your number.Good lucki everybody

  108. @Jeanette- Hey ! Did they happen to tell you when call backs were going to be done? Keep hope alive, I’m sure there is still a chance

  109. I’m working on my write-up from yesterday’s sit down with the Senior Casting Producer for Big Brother, but for those worried about when you’ll hear back I was told that you could hear back from anytime after up until the show starts. So don’t freak out if it’s been days or weeks since your app or casting event.

With so much going on with casting right now it might take them awhile to get back to you, but if they’re interested they’ll definitely get ahold of you even if it takes awhile.

  110. @Matt– I’m glad things are going good for you! Can’t wait to hear about your interview. I’m still waiting to go to my casting call next Friday. If you have any advice or suggestions for me it would be greatly appreciated. “ANGELWINGS”

  111. Is anyone going to the NY audition on Tuesday? I am and am nervous as hell! TMI but can’t stay out of the bathroom. I wish you all luck wish me luck :)

  112. Good morning all of the BB fans! I went to the open casting call in Rockford, Illinois (chicken George was from Rockford) on April 1st. I got there approximately an hour before the assigned time (I planned on getting there a few hours before the time but I live about two hours away and I am always late!). There were only 4 or 5 people ahead of me. I was really shocked! More people filtered in but I estimate the total number of people didn’t exceed 25. The people from Kassting Inc. weren’t there. The local television station (the CBS affiliate) was running the show. At the assigned start time, they started signing people in and assigning numbers. Even though I was in the first group of people to arrive, I waited until they were ready to assign the number 12 and then went up there – BB12! I brought two photos (one head shot and one full body – me with my puppy) and my completed application (I typed mine out – it ended up being sooooo long!) I made some friends there right at the start and we were all sharing our stuff together (except this one girl named “Ally” that came all the way from New York to Rockford, Illinois to attend THIS open casting call – I think she had the feeling that the competition in New York was going to be too much, so she thought she’d do better in Rockford – am I just being one of the “mean girls”?)…anyways…we were all sharing our stuff and this really nice (& cute) guy named “Juan” said we needed copies of our driver’s licence and social security card. I totally freaked out! I did not have those copies in my packet and I did not even have my social security card with me. Everyone was really nice and gave me directions to the local “Staples” and I left the location, made copies (of my driver’s license, AAA card, gym membership and bank card) and returned without even losing my spot. Once they assiged numbers, they started calling people up. If you did not bring pictures, they took one still picture of you. Then you went and stood in front of the camera and held a dry erase board with your name, number and region (I think) for a few seconds (maybe 10 or so), then they asked if you were ready, counted you in and you had two minutes to sell yourself. There were no questions and the audition was held in a small local bar so there was no privacy. You gave your “interview” in front of everyone else although the venue was so small that it was very loud and the “audience” couldn’t hear the person that was taping. I thought it was really exciting. The call started at 6:00 p.m. and the news station was there early. As I said, I got there about an hour early and I was one of the people the news station interviewed LIVE at 5; LIVE at 6 and I think I was the only one that they asked permission to “mike” during the 2 minute interview for later broadcasting! It was super fun! They are having another casting call in Chicago in the beginning of May and I had such a blast at the first one, if they don’t call me before the Chicago date, I’ll give it a go there too. What do I have to lose except some time (besides…it’s an excuse to have another pedicure, hair and make up appointment and shop for another cute outfit!) I would have loved to answer questions but the two minute improve was fun just the same. Based upon the comments here, maybe they will ask questions at the Chicago location so I will have a chance to do both. Is anyone else going to Chicago in the beginning of May? I think that venue will be packed.

Okay…I have written enough…what’s up with everyone else?

  113. Thanks for the info, Californiadaisygirl. Don’t worry about your post being long, I’m sure many people will get a lot of insite into the process through your post. Did you meet Chicken George? I loved CG and should have made the 1/2 hr. trip up there to interview him, he’s awesome!

  114. @CaliforniaDaisyGirl– I thought your blog was interesting. I get carried away sometimes too when I comment. So, how do you think you did as far as the 2 min. interview? I am going to a casting call this Friday, in Spartanburg SC. It’s kinda a small town and news channel 7 will be over it. From what Iv’e heard, mine will be the same way, just 2 min. in front of a camera setup. I might go to one in Charlotte also on the 21st. It will be much bigger and I know the producers will be at it, the website said so. Anyway, I wish you all the best!!! If you have any suggestions or ideas for me, it would be greatly appreciated. Or if you just want to chat, I’m always glad to hear from my “BB” BUDDIES!! “ANGELWINGS”

@Chilibrad– How’s everything going for you? Has anyone heard anything from Joey C. or Mikee lately? Comment back when you get a chance. “ANGELWINGS”

  115. Doing well, Angela, just getting ready for work at a very slow pace ; ) I am bowing out of applying this year because of an upcoming trip so I’ll keep hope alive for season 13! Can’t wait to chat up S12 in the forums with everybody!

  116. @Chilibrad– Good to hear from you. Sorry to here you won’t be trying out. But, maybe next year will be the year for you. I’m starting to get nervou about my audition this Friday. I’m going to get me a really nice outfit today & go to the tanning bed a couple of times this week, other than that, I’m about as prepared as I can be I guess! Talk to you again soon.
    “ANGELWINGS”

  117. @Chef– Yes, they delayed the deadline because of last minute casting call dates. I think on the website it said the new deadline was the 23rd. But, they still have casting call dates up until may 1st, I think, so I’m not sure what the exact date is now, I need to check again. Are you going to a casting call? I’m supposed to this Friday. I’m really starting to get nervous.Anyway, comment back anytime, I’m always glad to hear from my “BB”BUDDIES!!!! “ANGELWINGS”

  118. @Californiadaisygirl
Hello we had the same set up in Austin just the local station that was on April 1 and no word yet we had just the 2 min video but it was outside and it was so windy i just hope they could hear me with all the wind not to many people were at my open call I was #13 and only about 100 in all showed up.

@Angela sorry I did not get back to you ,y net went down all weekend just got it back I think that a cool mom would be good for the show I am 28 and will be 29 on Aug 11 so I would have a birthday in there so I think that would be cool.

    Good lucjk to all

  119. @DSpencer– Thanks for getting back in touch!Your right I am a cool mom & proud or it, but there is more than that to me! This might take a few minutes, but I would like to run my audition speech & song by you & get some input.

  120. @kATE– hI HOW ARE YOU?? “angelwings”
@DSPENCER– OH mu gosh , I just read the blog about what the producers are looking for and I guess I better take all of it back. Actually, I’m just gonna go with it when I get there , I’m much better at talking to people in person. I’m still gonna sing my song, It, took me a while to come up with it! Anyway if you have any advice , I’d appreciate it!!! “ANGELWINGS”

  121. @Angela, thanks for the info. I don’t live close enough to any of the casting calls, so I need to send in a video. I’m going to get started today. Thanks again!!!

  122. @Chef– Well, you still have time and you can send it Fed Ex or Express mail. Who know’s you might get lucky. Anyway, I wish you all the best!Did you read my earlier blog about my song I made up to sing at the audition? If so, let me know what you think about it. “ANGELWINGS”

  123. Angela, your audition sounds GREAT! Good luck to you,and let us know how it turns out!

    T

  124. @Tedessa– Thank’s! I’m really starting to get nervous now, my audiotion is Friday. Did you try out for the show?Anyway, thanks for commenting, if you have any suggestions or more comments please feel free to send them my way. I’m always glad to hear from my “BB”BUDDIES! “ANGELWINGS”

  125. @Jeannette– Hey haven’t heard from you in a while, did you ever hear anything? If you haven’t don’t give up, the interview from casting said that it could take a while for them to contact you so have faith. Anyway, I’m getting nervous about my audition on Friday.Well, comment back when you get a chance. “ANGELWINGS”

  126. Hi BBNetwork!
I was just curious about the audition process. Do the producers review the auditions after each audition is completed- or do they wait until after all the dates have been completed and then start going through the submissions? Do they call you if they are interested in you or email? Is it true that they already had some people selected and needed more or are they looking for the entire cast and how many will it be?
    Thanks For the info.
    ekiMoliF

  127. @Angela: Please don’t ask others about hearing back on the auditions since that’s been listed as the “worst thing to do” (and I know you should know that since you cited the casting interview I posted). I’m sure you wouldn’t want to wreck anyone’s chances of making it.

@Mike: Good questions. My impression is that they start acting on promising leads as they come up during the casting process. Final decisions aren’t made until the end of the cycle though. I don’t know if they call or email, but if they can’t get ahold of you one of those ways I’m sure they’ll try the other. I don’t believe there were any cast members already selected as the final decisions haven’t been made yet.

  128. @MATT– Sorry, I just wasn’t thinking. I just like being friendly with people, but you’re right I don’t need to be asking that. Won’t happen again!! “ANGELWINGS”

  129. @Angela: I know you were not trying to be malicious with the question. Just don’t want anyone to miss the “don’t discuss” message and start laying out the details on getting a callback.

  130. @Matt– Thanks for understanding. I will be careful in what I say from now on. I don’t want to mess up anyone’s opputunity to get on the show. I’m going to a casting call at Spartanburg SC, this Friday. Do you have any extra advice for me other than being myself? As you can see I do that anyway, words just come out of my mouth without me thinking. Anyway, thank’s for being a good host. “ANGELWINGS”

  131. honestly I’m gonna go out on a limb after going to the philly audtion and say if you really want a chance to show your charisma and say y you deserve a next round interview, I would advise you send in a video. It’s a better atmosphere than standing with 5 people like dicks on a wall and talking for 30 seconds about y ur better than the jersey shore boys in the waiting room. If all videos are watched Id say do that instead of an open call.

  132. @Moe: That sounds pretty reasonable to me. I know that at the audition event I observed the people who arrived during the first half got to have one on one interviews for a couple of minutes. I’d think that would be better than a video, but yes, a video might be better than a group cluster.

@Angela: No other advice than what the casting producer offered up in the interview I posted. G’luck.

  133. Thanks for all of the advice. I did send a video, & app(pics) in about a month ago. I just wanted an extra chance to make a better video, hopefully. Anyway, I’m gonna go tommorrow & try not to worry about whatever happens. I just need to leave it in God’s hands, because he has helped me get this far. So if it’s meant to be it will & if not then it’s just not the right time for me! Atleast I can say I tried!! Comment back anyone, I like talking with other BigBrother FANS! “ANGELWINGS”

  134. @Jeannette– Good to hear from you again, just wanted to make sure you were o.k. I worry about my friends. Anyway, I hope things are going well for you, comment back if you get a chance! “ANGELWINGS”

  135. Hi everybody, Well, I just got home from the casting call in Spartanburg SC they had this morning.I got there right around 9am when it was supposed to start. When I got there, they had a couple of tents up with table and chairs. 98.1 radio station van was there live. CBS News channel 7 van was there with the reporter Jamarcus Gaston from the show scene on 7 that comes on weeknights @ 7:30pm. They give us numbers first and started calling groups to 3 different rooms. Then they got alot of us together to be on the news live. After I had my 2-minute audition time, Jamarcus interviewed me to be on “scene on 7” tonight @ 7:30pm. It was really cool!! We had lots of fun! There wasn’t that many people at first but they started coming in small groups at the time.Anyway, I’m glad to get it over with, now I can breathe!!! Comment back anyone if you like. Thanks, “ANGELWINGS”

  136. Hi. Is there any chance that and English person (like myself) can somehow audition to be in this years Big Brother 12?

  137. @ Camilla, the eligibility requirements state that you must be a United States citizen and live in the United States. Hope that helps.

  138. @Chilibrad– Haven’t heard from you in a while, hope everything’s going well for you.As for me, just waiting for the new season to start, I’m ready for something good to watch. “ANGELWINGS”

  139. Angela, doing well! Trying to stay busy and all that. I can’t wait for the season to start, either. I need my feed fix! I’m anxious for Matt’s next article, too, in particular: what questions were asked in the interview and how many people did they interview at a time. Should be interesting!

  140. @Chilibrad– Glad to hear your doing well. Matt said his interview should be coming out this week sometime.I thought about going to the casting call in Charlotte on may 1st, but I’m not sure. I know the casting producers will be at that one. Any advice? “ANGELWINGS”

  141. Angela, if you have a definite point of view that you want an agent to see, then by all means go. If you have nothing more to say than in your video, don’t. I have the same boring advise as always, be yourself but bring out all the quirkeness that makes you you. A story about why you call yourself Angelwings will be interesting. Delve into your charactor and let them know what makes you unique!

  142. @Chilibrad– Thanks, I am definitely different that is for sure. It’s hard to actually tell why. I’m alot better at talking to people in person, I guess you could say my attitude is what makes me unique. I try to live each moment as they come, and simply try to have fun in life, even when there are bad times. Anyway, thanks for the advice. I’ll think about what you said about the name “ANGELWINGS”.

  143. @Chilibrad– I thought about what you said and I figured out the story behind “ANGELWINGS”. The truth is and it’s kinda ironic is this– If I get in the BB house, I want to be known as (The Evil Nurse Angela)! after “Dr Will.”because I am him just trapped in a woman’s body!!! But, I call myself “ANGELWINGS” because my daughter give me a necklace that has gold “ANGELWINGS” on it as well as a lock & key (THIS repreesents the BIG BROTHER KEY) So far, everytime I wear her necklace, Good Things Happen!!! So, I decided to be called “ANGELWINGS”!!! And as i sit here right now, I am listening to the radio and they are doing a tribute to “BONJOVI” because he is doing a concert nearby, wish I could go, anyway, it’s like his song “I”M LIVING ON A PRAYER!!thats my life , I wish i could try out for American Idol because I can really sing too! I LOVE MUSIC & I LOVE PEOPLE& I LOVE BIG BROTHER!! So here’s to me!!!!!! “ANGELWINGS”

  144. In reading some of these responses, I think some people are not paying as close attention as some others. (No offense to anyone. Dspencer, I was your neighbor.. The World Record guy. #14.. :)

Apparently only about 60 people showed up in Austin. Since there were no producers, or anyone from the actual show there, I got word via Twitter that it would NOT be immediate as if they had been there. NO worries, they are doing open calls for a couple more weeks and their deadline isn’t until tomorrow, so I suspect there will be a ton of first calls being made in a couple of weeks.

    Think positive!

  145. @Kevin– Thanks for that information. Good Luck to ya!!! I’m trying to stay positive and have FAITH!!! “ANGELWINGS”

  146. Okay, I submitted my video and application last fall and went to cast call in KC. I am thinking of going to Chicago May 1. Anyone else heading over there?

  147. You don’t have to attend multiple auditions if you’re feeling pressured, but I was told it won’t hurt your chances either.

  148. @ Matt/ big brother network: I saw something about the deadline of April 23rd – I thought this was the deadline to have the tapes postmarked by. It seemed an easier way for people and BB to ensure that people were not confused and knew exactly when they had to send these in.

Is there any possibility that BB will accept tapes that were postmarked by the 23rd as the instructions could have gone either way?

    Fingers crossed… =)

  149. It’s entirely possible that Kassting Inc. could decide to review tapes received beyond the deadline. I’m pretty sure it was a “received by” deadline rather than a “postmarked by” one. Lots of stuff can happen along the way through the postal system and they can’t wait forever.

If you did miss the deadline then consider yourself first in line for Big Brother 13!

  150. @matt

Before I forget, THANKS MATT! I appreciate all your work and feedback for us BB12 wana b’s… !! Your interviews, etc. has done a lot of good for us nervous pre-interview peeps…

I hope your hard work will pay off, when we give you a ‘shout-out’ on the showtime afterdark show! LOL!!

Thanks again… and good luck to everyone, especially ‘angelwings’ she kept us busy reading…LOL

  151. @Tedessa– Thanks for that comment!!! I am really just a people-person and I try to be friendly with everyone! I truly wish everyone the best of Luck too! I really hope atleast one of us make it on this season, because we (ALL)have been working very hard! Talk to ya later! “ANGELWINGS”

  152. OKay, so I am 55. I have been out of work for a year. Middleaged heavy woman -WhaddaIhave2do?

  153. @Peggy: I hope you’re going to one of the last 2 auditions today (5/1/10) because the mail-in app deadline has already passed. Otherwise, starting preparing yourself to apply for BB13.

  154. @Matt Now that the whole process is over, how long do u think we have 2 wait for them to contact us???

I’m going to hold my breath and wait….(sucking in air…blowing up cheeks…turning red, then purple….veins popping out of my head and neck….)

  155. @Tedessa– If you think that’s bad, I almost had a heartatacke the other day. The phone rang and it was a toll-free # so I didn’t answer. When the answering machine came on this lady said I’m calling from the Bigbrother casting call, Angela Robinson please call me at this #. Well, my husbands face went white and I started jumping up and down likme a crazy person saying in your face(to my husband)!!! Then when I calmed down and called, come to find out what it was about was when I went to the casting call, they give out tickets to fill out to win a $300 coupon for some kind of cosmetic surgery. Well, that’s what the call was about! I was really let down, but then I figured time wasn’t out yet until the show starts, so I’m still hanging on too!!! Anyway, hope you don’t pop any veins!!!HA!HA! still wishing you the best of luck!!!
    “ANGELWINGS”

  156. Did anyone go to the casting call in Charlotte? I didn’t make it and was wondering how it was? Thanks! “ANGELWINGS”

  157. @193, Angela, that’s some rough business! I’m sure your heart dropped to the floor when you got that call.

  158. @Chiibrad– You bet it did! HA!HA! I just knew it was gonna be the “CALL”!!! Oh well, there’s always next time. Anyway, haven’t heard from you in a while. Hope all is well with you. Have you heard if anyone went to the Charlotte casting call? I just wondered how many people showed up? Comment again sometime, it’s always good to hear from friends. Talk soon. “ANGELWINGS”

  159. @Tedessa: There’s no way to know. I was told that things can change up until the day the HGs are entering the house. So anytime between now and early July.

  160. i have always wanted to be on a show as this, but i dont think i could fit in because im the typr that is to herself and has not a lot a friends. i know if i was there on the show,i love the show, i have watched it from day one. i am the type of girl that lives day by day, but i dot have a lot in my life, besides who would want a poor person on a show like BB. because eveyone on there have jobs and have something to brag about.

  161. i have always wanted to be on a show as this, but i dont think i could fit in because im the typr that is to herself and has not a lot a friends. i know if i was there on the show,i love the show, i have watched it from day one. i am the type of girl that lives day by day, but i dot have a lot in my life, besides who would want a poor person on a show like BB. because eveyone on there have jobs and have something to brag about.

  162. jenny, BB always needs different types of people. Send in a video next year and see if it gets you anywhere. You never know…

  163. Hey there all my BB friends. I was going to go to the Chicago open casting call but my sister’s college graduation fell on the same day. She only had five tickets to give out and she picked me as one of the five people she invited to attend. I absolutely HAD to go. I would never do anything to hurt my little sister’s feelings, especially take away from her special day! So…did anyone here go to the Chicago open casting call? I saw that they were advertising it on the local television stations so I figured there was probably a big crowd. I also thought since Chicago is such a big city, the casting people would be there to personally interact with the people rather than just the local CBS affiliate. I would have loved to have been there! Okay now for some fun news..I HAD A “JESSIE” SIGHTING! I travel quite a bit and I was in the Orange County airport waiting for my luggage and Jessie walked right past me. I am not really good placing names with faces so, at first, he looked really familiar but I couldn’t exactly figure out from where. Then the light bulb moment – it was Jessie from Big Brother! Woo Hoo…except I missed him. But wait – he was walking back toward me (not toward ME but toward where I was standing – by the luggage thingy). As he got next to me I said “Hey! Aren’t you Jessie from Big Brother?” He stopped, looked at me and in a very “bored” tone said “Yeah, What’s up?” I replied “I thought I recognized you!” (I was very excited). Again another “flat” response “Yeah, it’s me.” I said “well…have a good day!” He said “Yeah, thanks.” And with a little bob of his head, he walked off. He was kind of handsome but VERY short. I was a little surprised that no one else seemed to recognize him – at least no one else noticed him or went up to him to talk to him or nudged the person next to them as he walked by. Just quirky ole me. I watched him get his bags, walk outside (I was outside by then waiting for my car) and get in to a car that was being driven by his Mom? Maybe his Mom, I don’t know. It was kind of cool but kind of a let down. He wasn’t very friendly. Maybe he’s just gotten really tired of people bothering him but it was not like I wanted him to pose for a picture with me (I should have thought of that when I was there) or asked for an autograph (not really into autographs – except if you are the author of a book – I collect autographed books…), I was excited to see him in persona and just wanted to say “Hi”, that’s all. How is everyone?

  164. @Daisygirl– How have you been? Haven’t heard from you in a long time!!! I hope all is well! “ANGELWINGS”

  165. Hi everyone.Haven’t heard from you guys in a while! Just wanted to check in and see how everybody’s doing? I hope good!!!

@Matt– Have you heard if they are making any progress in picking the cast? Hope you’re doing o.k., I’d appreciate any info. you can give me! Thank’s!!! “Angelwings”

  166. What’s up, Angela! I’ll get more BB fever and you’ll see me more often as soon as Survivor ends this week :( Looking forward to the first leaks about BB, whether its house pics or theme rumors. There were some fun leaks last year that all turned out to be false. Anyone remember the fiber optic walls and squid tank? LOL

  167. @Chilibrad– Good to hear from you again. Is the finale show of Survivor this Sunday? I’ll have to be sure & watch it. I missed a few episodes this season, but I always try to watch the finale. I wonder if Russell will win? I don’t really want him to, but he does kinda deserve it if he does, you have to admit he plays a good game. I would be kinda like him, if I were to get in the BB house this year. Anyway, glad you commented back. Hope to chat again soon! “Angelwings”

  168. Angela, yes, the finale is Sunday. Russ does indeed play a good game, but screws himself out of votes by the way he plays. Hopefully since the contestants are All Stars, they will vote on someones game instead of bitter feelings like last season.

  169. @Chilibrad– I totally agree, I hate it when people vote with their feelings instead of voting for whoever played the best game! I wish Rupert would win, he’s a really genuine nice guy! He would use some of the money for a good cause too, like he did before when he won Americas vote. Well I guess I’ll talk to ya later! “Angelwings”

  170. @Angela: I have not heard any additional news on the casting, but I am anticipating the announcement from Robyn Kass to come before Memorial Day as it has for the past few seasons.

  171. @ Matt Thanks for the info, Matt! I’ll go and unpack… I didn’t even get a call like Angel Wings did…(But glad I didn’t…) I would have said I would come in for a consultation for a full face and body plastic surgery because ‘I just won the lottery’ and get them all hyped up (as much as they did me saying Big Brother on the answering machine) and then after the consultation tell them ‘No thanks’… That would teach them a lesson!! LOL

@Daisygirl, don’t fret. I always though Jessie was a DICK. Now I KNOW 4 sure he’s a dick. I think we would be different. I used to be in the media and was always gracious to those who recognized me (I was in a small town) He should realize that he will represent Big Brother for the rest of his life, and be thankful for the time on the show by being nice to everyone…

But that’s just me… I was brought up to smile and be nice no matter what your day is like…

Good luck to EVERYONE!! This was my first year applying and I LOVED every minute of it!!

Thanks, again, Matt for all your efforts!!

  172. @Tedessa– Hey girl, glad to hear from you again. I should have done what you said about the facial, but like you, I’m not a mean person! Anyway, glad you commented, I haven’t heard from some of my buddies on here in a while. Let’s not give up yet, we still have until July before they move the actual houseguests in, there still might be hope! Hope everythings going well with you! “Angelwings”

  173. @Flower guide with pictures– What exactly are youtakjing about? Is it on a different site or what? Any info. would be helpfyl!!! “Angelwings”

  174. I have to ask a question about something. I hope that this doesn’t sound stupid but I have to ask because of it’s relevance to Big Brother. So here’s my question- does it matter about the food? What I mean by that is on the application I was honest about saying how I don’t drink alcohol, I don’t eat seafood of any kind, I won’t eat anything weird like bugs or crazy stuff like that, and I think that food contests are gross and I really don’t like to participate in things like that. Can anyone tell me if that’s something to worry about? I mean I’m still a person that is outgoing and fun to be around and I still want to be a part of the show. I can’t begin to tell you how badly I want to get that phone call or that email from Big Brother to invite me as a house guest. It’s a dream that I’ve had for a very long time. Any and all advice you might have on this subject is more than welcome and I thank you for it.

  175. yes there is something WRONG with that/// if you dont like something the producers are doing like food contest u dont tell em silly keep it to yourself when you get into the house and you dont want to compete the other house guest will surly vote you out /// how bad do you want to be on BB not too bad im guessing cause i would do anything eat bugs // go without/// food if i have to /// I MEAN REALLY HOW BAD DO YOU WANT TO BE ON BB??????

  176. @Mike– I don’t think it should matter one way or the other. Like you said, your funny & outgoing so that should be all that counts. It just means that you wouldn’t win the nasty food competitions, that’s all. I tried out this season too, but still waiting for a miracle also. I don’t think I would be too good at eating nasty stuff either, but for a half mill. I would definitely try!!! Good to hear from you again. I’m still wishing us all the best of luck. “Angelwings”

  177. I wanted to post a reply to both mikee and angelwings- thank you both for your replies to my initial post. I guess you are both right. Maybe I should not tell them- or maybe it doesn’t matter, either way I am so anxious to have had the chance to audition. I will tell you one thing that I did in my audition that I hope will get attention and that’s when I went behind the curtain and I said a word- not a nasty word but one that I’m keeping to myself in a crazy voice and I think I did the 2 minutes in front of the camera with a sense of energy and “pizazz”. So I guess only time will tell. If nothing I went to the audition, and I was myself. It’s all in the hands of “the powers that be” Thanks again for the replies and I hope to meet some of you- or maybe all of you in the Big Brother House for season 12!
    Take Care and Thanks Again.

  178. @Mike– Your welcome! I heard a rumor last night that they had picked the finalists. I hope it’s not true, Anyway, it’s out of our control unless I can come up with a brilliant idea of how to get their attention before the show starts. But who know’s? We still might have a chance! Good Luck to ya!!! “Angelwings”

  179. I have to say that today has been a really, really , really, bad day for me on too many levels to mention. I’ll just get to the point on this one. So today is May 28, 2010. I’ve been up and down this blog and read so many different topics and posts by all the people here that live and breathe Big Brother and are all anxiously awaiting the new season of Big Brother 12. I tried out for BB12 in my area when they had auditions. I really thought that my audition went well. I thought I approached the interview with a unique sense of humor and gave my audition that little tint…as if to say-yeah I’m a nice guy but I can also cause a little drama. I thought I was pretty much “on” for whatever being “on” encompasses. I have gone through the posts and I guess that the house guests have all been chosen. I am very disappointed and sad that I feel this way and that I didn’t get picked. I truly am sad and heartbroken. I thought that this would be my big chance. I have tried tried out before and I just have to tell you that it really hurts, I’m really sad- I wanted to be there. I’m 45 and I have these dreams of being someone rich and famous. I don’t know why I have these dreams..I don’t know why anyone does, but for me- they are there and have always been there and will always be there. So now I have to fade back into the background of a life that is filled with disappointment, and financial heartbreak. I know that this post sounds like “Oh woe is Me” but this day has been painful in so many ways. I really just want to disappear-in a very literal sense. I have had it. I really thought that this time was different and that I had a chance. I’m not one of the “beautiful people” and I know that’s why I probably didn’t get chosen. I gave it the best that I had and with everything else I really thought that this was going to be my year. So, I guess it’s over. The dream is dead. Thanks for reading my post.

  180. Cheer up, Mike! You can’t take it personally, just try again next year. That’s really all you can do, that and not to take it so personally when you’re not chosen. Remember, Evel Dick tried out 6 years in a row before he got on; so did season 11’s Kevin. Chin up, man up, and start to prepare for next year – that is my only advice.

  181. Mike your post sounds very alarming. Please don’t give up hope on life. No one knows if the cast has been picked yet or not. In reference to the article that was posted on the site it said that you literally can have up until the day before and if I’m not mistaken BB 12 doesn’t start until July 8th so there is still plenty of time. I believe everything happens for a reason so if someone isn’t picked then there’s a reason for it. There are many highs and lows in life but you can’t let the let down’s get the best of you. If it’s something you really want, keep trying because I’m sure they take notice. Sometimes you have to continually stay in the fight to get what you want, and it shows how you handle the process as well as the outcomes. In the end it only makes you a better person and shows just how determined you actually are. Take care Mike all is not lost :)

  182. Dear ChiBrad and Malecia:
Thank you both for your replies to my posts. I know that people hate drama and all that stuff that happens everywhere and people make mountains out of molehills everywhere about the least little things. I am one the people out there that does get annoyed about those things. But the truth of the matter is in my own personal life is that it really does suck. Unemployment, no money, worry, trying to make some money selling art that no one really wants, these are the things that make up my life these days. I used to take my dog for a walk at night to clear my head and it’s good exercise for her too. She’s a ham and loves just about anyone that she meets. As for me-well I’ve always been a little “out there” and a pretty outgoing person- I used to honestly believe that there’s no such thing as a “stranger” because we are really all connected by something or someone. I used to love meeting people and just making small talk with anyone. But these days I have to tell ya- I don’t want to talk to anyone. I just want to walk. I don’t want to engage in conversation, talk about the weather, and whether or not this one or that one will do this or that or the other thing. I just want to be LEFT ALONE. In the simplest most uncomplicated terms- I don’t want to talk to anyone or even be talked to by anyone. This whole “Big Brother” thing was a dream that I have wanted for the longest time, and I have to be honest when I walked away from the audition this time it just felt right. Truth be told no one has any control of who gets picked and who doesn’t. I know that and I understand that whole concept. I guess it’s just where I am in my life and where I want to be and knowing that the chances of me getting there are impossible- or damn near close. I often wonder why I’m such a dreamer- when the chances are so high against me in the first place. But it is what it is. So- is it the whole “Woe is me” thing? Yeah- it is. Sorry for the drama to all the haters out there. I’m just someone that’s not happy in my life right now. It’s a long road to wherever it is that I’m going…and when I get there I’m not sure if I want to be there- or if I even belong there. This is my life and Yeah- it SUCKS!
Thanks again for all your kind words and support. I really do appreciate it.

  183. @Mike– I’m sorry that you are feeling sooooo bad! When I posted that they had already picked the houseguests, I was just going on a “RUMOR”!!!! So, PLEASE, don’t give up!!! I haven’t. I will say this though, I just found out last week that they think my grandfather has lukemia & they have started him on chemotherapy. So now I’m kinda wondering if that might be the reason I don’t get picked. Maybe it’s God’s way of keeping me here in my grandpa’s time of need! As for you, please try to cheer up & don’t ever give up!!!! My ears are always open if you need to vent some more.
    Sincerely, “Angelwings”

  184. I just wanted to know why you stopped recruiting Older people over 50 lets say?? Is it because it is a younger Fan base?? I think many older people watch Big Brother and should be in the House next year…

  185. Nitti, I agree with you. I am an older person and have watched from the beginning. At that time I was in my 50’s so you can tell about what age I am now. I luv it and was hooked from day 1. I have the live feeds and showtime, etc, etc . Can’t wait for it to start July 8. Wish they would do a winter edition as well. Mike, hang in there honey. Rough patches are a part of life. There are many battles to fight and I and my family have many battle scars, but we don’t give up; there is always hope to cling to. If that door is not meant to be walked through, don’t look back ;put your energies into other things and then try again next year. You are still very young, even though you think you’re not.

  186. @Nitti48: I haven’t heard anything to make me think they’re disregarding applicants over the age of 50. If you’re the right person, regardless of age (think Jerry), then they’re going to select you.

  187. OK for next year its on..At 61 and retired wifey says I never shutup but when I was younger was an Introvert,hehe..but I am sure when it comes to Application being Bi-Polar will give me the Boot..Its been under control for 31 years but you know the way people think..I diagree..who to say everybodyelse is not normal and I am..Either way I totally Enjoy the Show and will watch till I am Senile or have Demantia..Good things never grow old…Thanks

  188. @Nikki– I am bipolar too, but it did’nt stop me from trying out. And if you have read any of my blogs or comments on these sites, I am just as normal as anybody else & a H.. of alot nicer than most folks!!! I am a common housewife, I’m 37yrs old. been married for 18yrs. and have 2 teenagers . Don’t give up is my motto!!! Good Luck to ya and anyone else that tried out, there might still be hope, it’s not July yet!!!! “Angelwings”

  189. I was wanting to know, If canadians could apply? I know the show already started, but just courious?
