Another elimination awaits us tonight on Reindeer Games in the third episode of the season with seven Houseguests remaining and just four episodes left before a winner is crowned. So far we’ve seen Cody and Cameron eliminated and those two are tough competitors! This is much more of an “anything can happen” setup so far for Big Brother and that’s great! Just as Santa promised, the rules can change from one day to the next. First round was a solo competition and then the next was a team battle. Tonight probably won’t be time for the pairing challenge since we’re back to odd numbers so I’ll be expecting another solo battle in the backyard.
Along with those changes it should be time for a new Santa’s Helper! We’ve seen Jordan on the first two shows and now there are just four episodes left with two more Helpers to go. Will it be Tiffany or Derek X visiting to help out? We’ll soon find out.
It’s Derek Xiao! He’s here to guide the remaining HGs through tonight’s challenges (and I’d expect him back on Monday’s show too). First up, a chance at winning an advantage.
Naughty Or Nice – Puzzle Challenge:
The first challenge of the night should be to set who gets the advantage and who gets weighed down in the Brawl. Past two rounds have used a Christmas song theme to decide the winner. Let’s see if they mix it up or not.
A Christmas crooner arrives with a tale of woe, 12 Days of why his girlfriend dumped him. Now the HGs have to unscramble the words to reveal the reason. First to finish wins a 2-minute head start in the upcoming Brawl.
Nicole, Britney, and Frankie were working together but couldn’t solve the obvious last word of the puzzle. But Taylor, Danielle, and Josh are quicker with the words and that leads to Taylor phoning it in right first. Taylor considers giving Frankie the punishment but doesn’t want him to start targeting her so instead she gets Josh to volunteer for the stocking of coal.

Jingle Bell Brawl – Backyard Challenge:
HGs are heading to the yard where they’ll fight again for safety on Reindeer Games. I’m hoping for another balanced competition that any of them could win after last show’s surprise outcome for Team Misfits.
It’s the return of the mini challenge with the tweezers and I’d be losing it if I had to do this one. Everyone is so frustrated and cursing up a storm. In the end Nicole wins the safety and now has to name someone to head to Santa’s Showdown. Alone. That first HG competes and has the most time then names someone else that they expect will be slower than them. Ohh, interesting!
Brawl winner: Nicole
Santa’s Showdown – Elimination Challenge:
First there was a duel and then there was a trio faceoff. Now it’s a solo challenge. Nicole will pick the first player to finish a maze puzzle. That player picks the next. Each player has a time limit that gets 1-minute shorter with each round. Finish it and you’re safe. Fail to beat the clock and you’re out.
Nicole picks Frankie to go first so he has the most time. He finishes it in 3m11s. Frankie picks Xavier to go second to either give him the second most time or the chance for them to get out a huge competitor. Next up is Britney. She begged Xavier not to send her to her game-death, but it was no use. Xavier picks Britney and sends her to an expectation of losing.
But wait!! Britney beats it in time and survives! She has to pick either Josh, Taylor, or Danielle. Taylor volunteers so she has more time in case Josh survives, but wait… Britney asks Xavier why he picked her and he says he was protecting Danielle. Now Britney thinks she has to pick Danielle since she fears Danielle told Xavier to target her. Ouch.
Eliminated: Danielle Reyes
Danielle is a Big Brother Legend. Easily one of my very, very top favorite HGs ever. It was a thrill to see her back in the house and game. Glad she was here and Danielle will definitely be missed in the rest of the series.
On her way out Danielle picks out a present from the under the tree and gets… $5,000! Congratulations!
