In case you missed the news, last month we heard from Big Brother’s longtime casting director, Robyn Kass of Kassting Inc, that she would not be involved in the Big Brother 23 casting process and would be taking a leave from her long-running tenure in the role.
Kass took to Twitter in January to tell fans she was moving on to greener pastures, “I’ve been offered some big opportunities in the New Year. After a lot of thought, I’ve decided to move forward w these projects & take a leave from #BB23.”

As noted by Reality Blurred, Kass has been in the captain’s chair of Big Brother casting since BB2 all those years ago. The timing of this change synchs up with CBS’s commitment to more diverse casting across their reality programming.
While Kass won’t be leading up the casting interviews and application reviews through Kassting for the new season, it’s worth noting that the final decisions have always come from CBS. But perhaps, with a different crew reviewing who gets put before CBS we’ll see a new grade of Houseguests for Big Brother 23. Fingers crossed! And best of luck to all the BB23 Hopefuls out there!
