Big Brother 26: Where Is The Mega-Alliance?

Houseguests on Big Brother 26

Each season of Big Brother tends to start off with a massive alliance of nearly Houseguest driven by the mob mentality of “target anyone but me.” So now I’m curious, where is that for Big Brother 26?

To BB26’s credit, last week we did see an attempt with The Collective which featured Cam, Cedric, Chelsie, Joseph, Kimo, Quinn, and T’kor but don’t forget Angela who was a late suggestion for inclusion and ultimately shut it down. Remember, those were the late night visitors who put on a “low budget” performance, according to Angela’s rant. That would have put us at a count of eight HGs which is pretty decent in comparison to the likes of BB16’s Bomb Squad which ran up to 9 HGs.

There was another attempt with The Barbershop, named after all “the cuts” they were going to make but ended up seeing one of their own ranks cut when Matt Hardeman was evicted. Remaining from that alliance is Brooklyn, Cam, Cedric, Chelsie, Leah, Makensy, and Rubina. That’s a 3-member overlap from Collective with Cam, Cedric, and Chelsie. But overall, this alliance attempt isn’t happening either. Too much distrust among one another.

The next biggest attempt was The Pentagon that included, you guessed it, Cam, Cedric, and Chelsie along with Brooklyn and Quinn. See the repeating trio in these? That could be a solid group if they keep it together. Chelsie just pulled off the HOH win but Cedric can’t stop talking and Cam may be a little distracted by Leah.

With things this early in the Big Brother 26 season we will have to watch and see where everything goes. I expect over the next 2-3 weeks we’ll see some more solid, reliable alliances grow and get more formal. In the meantime, let’s see how Week 2 goes and whether or not Angela sticks around to mess with flow and if Chelsie can get her target Lisa out the door.

If you were a Big Brother Houseguest this season, which two HGs would you pull aside to form your own trio to reach finale night?
