CBS has debuted the first Big Brother commercial of the new, upcoming season and this one is taking a more serious tone than recent years’ bubble gum approaches. I’m liking it!

Less showmance content and more dramatic stress here is promising, but then again, it’s just the marketing department at work and these commercials are usually pretty detached from the rest of production from what we hear. All the same, I’ll take it and hope Big Brother 25 follows its lead.

The voiceover is of course Julie Chen-Moonves with lines from past seasons as she reminds of the premise: all the HGs actions will be captured by the cameras and “there is no place to hide.” The throwback to Big Brother 2’s Nicole is a nice touch. Wow does that take me back!

We’re down to a month away from the BB25 season premiere on August 2, 2023! What are you most excited for in the return of Big Brother next month? Remember this is going to be an oddly scheduled season with the delay into August and the stretch into November as CBS looks to fill the gaps in their primetime schedule due to the ongoing WGA Strike.
