Well – they did it… The Cookout can proudly claim they are the first alliance in Big Brother History to get all of their members to the final (insert # of alliance members here). They accomplished this feat by putting personal games aside and pushing the alliance’s needs first. Along the way – they had some minor tiffs (pun intended) – and now they are in the final 6 and there is no one left to target so they have to cannibalize themselves. 3 of them all but slept walked their way to the final 6 of Big Brother 23.
Three of them did most of the heavy lifting. But regardless of how they got there – they got there – so hats off to them. However – this is still Big Brother – and “at the end of the day” it is an individual game and only 1 person can walk away with the $$. The live feeds went down earlier than normal to set up a Double Eviction that may or may not have already happened – and we will find out the results tonight.
BUT FIRST – let’s take a look at the week that was and hand out bacon…. yes, only bacon this week. There will be no Tofu or Tofurkey this week as I need to reward all 6 of The Cookout for their historic achievement.
Kyland – 5 strips of Bacon – as annoying as Kyland may be – let’s face facts – Kyland won his 3rd HoH & Veto this week and held all of the power. He may have snuggled with Tiffany a few times during her HoH – but this week – she was his target and he (most likely) was able to execute his plan to perfection. Kyland had to choose if he was going to take that shot at Tiffany or turn on Xavier. Going into the next HoH – since he is vulnerable – he had to make the choice that would keep him safer. This move ensures him that 3 of the 4 people playing for HoH will probably keep him off the block.
Xavier – 4 strips of Bacon – despite not winning anything this week – Xavier was as safe as can be as he locked in his F2 with Kyland right before the HoH – and is currently in the best spot to take home the 750K. He was the Tofurkey of the Week last week due to his whining and complaining – but he bounced back strong and now is in the driver’s seat with Tiffany out of the game.
Hannah – 3 strips of Bacon – yes, Hannah ended up on the block this week – but she did not freak out and kept her head up so as to not give anyone any reason to shift the target onto her back. She has not done much this season – but does have a Veto win & also won the HoH during the Double Eviction last week. Hannah is the true underdog and has the best chance of taking out Kyland &/or Xavier. The maturity we have seen by her this season should be applauded.
Derek & Azah – 2 strips of Bacon – 1 each for… well… yeah…. the two of them have been nothing more than votes for the Cookout – but hey, even baseball teams need people that can bunt the runners over. You can’t have a team of all Home Run hitters (despite my beloved Yankees thinking that is a successful strategy – ugh!). Nonetheless – both have a 20% chance to become the winner of this season due to their ability to not upset the applecart up to this point. And now Big D is showing he is becoming a comp beast (who else laughed when you heard him say that?) – it could be only a matter of time before these 2 take over the game and wind up in the Final 2 chairs together. (who else laughed when you read this?)
Tiffany – 1 strip of Bacon – Tiffany Tiffany Tiffany – you were in the driver’s seat most of the game, but you got a little too cocky and that was rubbing other members of The Cookout the wrong way. This all came crashing down around her this week as Kyland won and was able to take the first shot. Now – this is probably an unpopular opinion – but Tiffany should not go down as one of the best players in BB History. She was well on her way but got sloppy and her end game makes her a Couldabeen instead of a Legend. This is sad for me to say because I was loving her as a player the first half of the game. I am hoping some time in jury will change her mind – but the other night she said (to us / camtalk) that she was going to be a bitter juror.
I can see Tiffany going into the jury house and continuing to play the game instead of stepping back and applauding Kyland for making this big move to get rid of her. It will be funny to hear how she tries to paint herself as the victim – but whoever comes in next may blow that up and then maybe, just maybe, we’ll get a classic jury fight. Something this season has been desperately lacking (from a fan’s perspective).
OK – there ya go – final 6 will become final 4 (or already has) tonight – and then the battle for 750K will get kicked into an even higher gear.
My question of the week is this – what player or players do you consider Legends that never won the game? Obviously, Janelle (BB6 & BB7 – not so much BB14 & BB23) heads that list for me.
Let me know what you think of my rankings and the answer to my question of the week in the comments section below. From outside the Big Brother House, this is Adam Poch reminding you, ignorance is temporary, stupid is forever.
