Game On: Big Brother 18 Houseguests Move In & Film Season Premiere

Big Brother 18’s premiere episode won’t air on CBS until next Wednesday, June 22, 2016 (8/7c) but the new cast of Houseguests have already moved in and the season is now underway!

Last night the new Houseguests hit the CBS set at Studio 18, stood on the stage, and then entered the house in grand fashion to get the season rolling a few days earlier than we usually see taking place. Could that extra time be setting us up for more action at next week’s premiere?

Tickets were initially advertised through On Camera Audience for the June 15th move-in before being removed from the list, which now only has a wait list for shows starting on June 30th. Double confirming the event last night was Julie Chen herself who shared some behind the scene sneak peeks through her Snapchat account which were captured in the tweet below.

In past seasons we’ve heard confirmations when HGs move in the weekend before the show airs, something that has confused fans who expected the first show to be live and it isn’t. So with a Wednesday move in that’s two to three days of extra game time before the premiere when compared to recent seasons.

Picking up the routine on roughly a full week’s cycle could possiby mean we get an eviction during the second night of the two-night premiere event next week. Of course that’s only speculation, but it does seem like they must be up to something with the early arrival.

With the expectation that there was an audience last night we might hear some spoilers, but I haven’t seen anything so far. Of course a hotly desired spoiler would be confirmation that we won’t be seeing the awful “fan favorite” Battle of the Block back this season. Keep your fingers crossed.

We also don’t know how the missing four HGs were handled or if they were even part of the taping last night. They might have been introduced then, but it wouldn’t be surprising for Big Brother to hold them back to air in the second episode of the season.

Whatever happened we likely have at least our first Head of Household and the game is underway for Big Brother 18. We won’t get our first look inside the house until the season premiere next Wednesday and won’t get a live view until the Live Feeds launch at 10PM PT on June 23rd.
