Big Brother 18 Countdown Is On: Four Weeks To Go

The Big Brother 18 countdown is on with just four weeks to go until the season premiere on Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at 8/7c on CBS and there’s a lot to see along the way.

Now under the one-month-away mark for the BB18 season the spirit is starting to come alive as social media is buzzing again and the chat is building as we head toward the next Big Brother debut.

The biggest news of the preseason so far is the pending Big Brother 18 cast reveal set for June 13th, a solid nine days before the premiere. CBS is planning to again do a live stream of the cast reveal through their All Access, which is the home of the Big Brother Live Feeds. The timing hasn’t been nailed down yet, but expect it early that Monday and make sure you have your Feeds ready (Free Trial).

Normally this is where I’d tell you about plans for our own preseason interviews, but unfortunately for the first time in five years we won’t be able to have those for you. CBS is changing things up this time around and I don’t really know what to make of that. It certainly sets off my Spidey-sense that something could be up, but if not then I hope it was someone really important who got our seat!

I don’t have any spoilers or leaks to report on the cast other than what we had heard before from several former Houseguests that there’s some sort of All-Stars like season coming our way. We haven’t seen any hard evidence to support that though, just rumors and speculation to date.

As for the house reveal, that is likely in the same week as the cast reveal. I always really enjoy seeing the new theme and design choices they’ve made for the latest overhaul. There has been one leak though for the house with photos showing a brand new pool and hot tub for the backyard! Jokers shared this photo that has the new rectangular, concrete pool with enclosed hot tub. Sadly that means no more moments of HGs sitting around the old hot tub, but this looks pretty great.

This should also be considered good news to see CBS investing money in long term aspects of the house since you don’t rearrange the deck chairs on the Titanic, much less install a new pool, right?

Speaking of investing in the series, we’ve also got some really great news for the competitions. Heath Luman is the producer in charge of challenges for Big Brother US and he does an awesome job. But to make things even better Grodner’s team has recruited extra talent in the form of Trevor Boris, the challenge producer for BBCAN and they have really awesome competitions up there. Whether or not you’re familiar with Trevor’s work, you should be excited for this addition to an already great team. New ideas and new comps for Big Brother 18!

Things look to be shaping up for a huge Big Brother season and I am very excited. We’ve got a brand new Big Brother app for iOS, Android, and Windows. There’s a Big Brother Marathon running right now on the Feeds. And then we’ll meet the new cast on June 13th before the season debuts on June 22nd!

Ready for the new BB18 season? Say goodbye to your loved one, kiss the kids goodnight one last time, make sure the lawn was cut, and then settle in for your summer hibernation of Big Brother when you’ll awaken again in late September. 1. Thanx so much for all the latest info Matt ~~ happy to hear there’ll be some new comps. Would prefer to see new houseguests with bubbbling personalities and unique strategies as opposed to an ‘all stars’ been there done that cast.

    • Yes, thanks for keeping us informed Matthew. I agree Cuddles, I’d much prefer new houseguests as well but I’m going through a major BB withdrawal and need a fix big time, I’m looking forward to whatever’s coming.

  2. I would love an all stars season as long as it is actually an all stars season. Season 7 was my second favorite season (Season 6 is first) so I would be happy with another. However, I don’t want it to be like celebrity shows where they bring d list celebrities. If you have it bring back big players like in season 7 where they had will, janelle, danielle, etc. Have actual all stars, actual great players, if they want to try “remember this person they were evicted in the 3rd week what an all star” then just have new players.

  3. Woohoo…getting excited with each day that grows closer!!!! I’ll just get back from a trip in time to see the cast reveal on the 13th!!! I hope I remember to tune in…and not let unpacking distract me! hahaha

    • But Frankie is a fan favorite according to whomever put him on the Big Brother edition of The Price Is Right.
