The new Head of Household was crowned last night during a late night competition and the nomination plans decided upon quickly just as soon as they handled that other pesky aspect of the game that would make all of this pointless.
Big Brother 16 Week 11 Nominations:
Jeff excitedly broke the news on Twitter saying “Why are the live feeds off…. Maybe cause of this…. SHE SAID YES! Thank you sooo much @CBSBigBrother.” Check out the full size photo of their engagement celebration complete with champagne, family, friends, and BB16 Houseguests.
Congratulations to Jeff Schroeder and Jordan Lloyd on their engagement. It’s been a long time coming for sure, but it finally happened.
CBS just released a photo of Jordan’s ring as well. Looks great. What do you think? Click the thumbnails to view the full size photo:
When Julie Chen announced that JeJo would be back on Sunday’s show we knew this was going to be about their engagement. Jordan had given Jeff a September deadline and the clock was ticking down so looks like Jeff wasn’t going to let her get away.
HGs discussing it now and suggest Jordan was surprised, but I don’t think that’s possible. If we knew they were going to announcement their engagement, then surely she knew too, right? Either way, that’s fun news for them.
Check out these pics from when JeJo went on their trip to Australia last year:
Christine Brecht played an interesting game on Big Brother 16. She was part of the two biggest alliances of the season and noted both fell in to her lap, but at what cost did she stick with them? Well I guess it was at the cost of being evicted by the guys she supported while betraying her personal allies in the game all season.
It was tough to come up with questions for Christine that weren’t in the vein of “what were you thinking?” and “why in the world?”, but I’m sure those are questions she’ll be asking herself those for some time to come. So what lessons and experiences did she take away from her time on Big Brother? Let’s see what she had to say.
Matthew Boyer – Big Brother Network (BBN): Were you concerned at all during the Double Eviction? You didn’t seem to campaign or fret the situation too much.
Christine Brecht: I knew that if I was going up, I was going home. So there was no reason to campaign at that point. I said what I had to say during the week.
BBN: What did you think of the Big Brother Rewind twist that Julie revealed in front of you? Who might that help the most?
Christine: Ooooh! I thought that was very exciting and I think it might help Frankie the most.
BBN: When Nicole returned did you give serious consideration to reuniting with her or was that bridge too badly burned?
Christine: The bridge was burned, at that point I knew I couldn’t trust her enough to work with her again so I didn’t try.
BBN: As a superfan and knowing Big Brother history, why did you feel comfortable sticking with an alliance of all guys?
Big Brother 16: Why Did Derrick Hide His HoH Family Photo? – Update: Family Reveals Details On Photo| September 5, 2014 at 2:45 PM EST
The odd thing is, something weird seems to have been going on with the photo Derrick received and it put him on edge to the point of sending it back. So what happened?
Update: Direct source from Derrick’s family tells me the photo has nothing to do with police, a uniform, or anything like that. The photo was of Tenley and another family member that Derrick did not want to have a photo of. Derrick’s undercover story is safe and sound. Fear not, Derrick fans.
Flashback on your Live Feeds (get the Free Trial now) to 12:07AM BBT 9/5 Cam 4 to find Derrick entering the Storage room to collect his items. There’s a long pause as he surveys the scene. Caleb calls out to him to bring back his letter and picture from home as Cody arrives to take a look.
“Who’s that?” asks Cody immediately upon poking his head in the room. Derrick doesn’t answer but grabs the basket and letter while leaving the picture frame on the counter. Cody enters, grabs the frame, and takes a closer look. He again asks, “who is that?” and adds “your brother?” this time. “No, no, I actually…” replies Derrick. Cody cuts him off with “Why would I say that’s your brother?”
Cody continues to inspect the photo closely. “That’s your daughter with who?” he asks Derrick. Still no response from a quiet Derrick. Derrick puts the basket back down and walks out of the room. “Hold on one second. I’m trying to think about something,” says Derrick.
Derrick returns to the Storage room a moment later and gives an interesting glance up to the camera. He turns to Cody. “I almost want to, to, um… damn,” says Derrick with a slight smirk. “Not the best picture to show,” says Derrick.
Cody lowers his voice and steps inside the room letting the door close behind him. “What do you mean?” he quietly asks Derrick. There is a distant, blurry view of the photo as Cody turns it to Derrick and then Feeds cut to Fish.
When the Feeds return Derrick is telling the HGs, “I’ll tell you. I’ll explain it to you,” before entering the DR carrying the picture frame he just received. The rest of the HGs sit around chatting as Cody carries in Derrick’s other snacks and goodies.
Nicole Franzel returned to the Big Brother house after winning her way from Jury back in to the running for the half-million dollar prize. Unfortunately for Nicole and her fans the odds were against her and she couldn’t capitalize on the opportunities for safety before being evicted last night.
Now after being evicted for the second time I had the chance to ask her some new questions since we last talked and I was curious to find out what might have changed for her on the game since then. We discussed what went wrong, who she would have targeted, who she hopes to see in the F2, and more. Read on for Nicole’s eviction interview.
Matthew Boyer – Big Brother Network (BBN): What was it like coming back in to the house? Was it hard to get your head back in the game after being going for those few weeks?
Nicole Franzel: Yes, it was very difficult. I feel like I restarted but had a huge disadvantage because everyone seemed much closer than when I left. I was also much more emotional and no longer in game mode.
BBN: Do you think there was any chance of swaying the existing HGs when you returned or were you doomed from your arrival?
Nicole: I think if I could have won HOH I could have gotten people on my side. But because I didn’t have power there was no way I could have swayed people.
BBN: If you had one do-over during your time back in the house, what would it be?
Last night Big Brother host Julie Chen revealed to us the latest BB16 twist with the “Big Brother Rewind.” A large gold button twist that if pushed would wipe out the entire week of events & force the HGs to start over. But would they push it? What do you think!
I went back through all the Rewind twist details from the show last night and saw that we’d soon be seeing the button come in to play, but I didn’t think it’d all wrap up this quickly. Flashback to 8:27PM BBT 9/4 as the HGs rush out of the Hive and head for the previously sealed Have-Not room.
Inside the newly redesigned twist room with more mirrors and red walls covered in the word “Game” there stood a podium with the sealed golden button. A screen greeted them with a message: “The Choice Is Yours.” That’s all the HGs had to go on and they immediately started speculating. Cody contributed with “it’s a twist!” Someone get that kid a gold star.
What the Houseguests don’t know is that this button will reset the entire Week 11 in the game. We’ll be right back to the start of the night’s HoH competition if the button is pushed. The HoH will have been dethroned, his nominations would be undone, and any Veto results nullified. Everything would be wiped away like it never happened.
