Yesterday I started thinking of Team America and wondered what was going on with that this week. Seems I wasn’t the only one asking that question as TA’s remaining members pondered the situation last night on the Feeds.
Update: Well there was no TA mission announced on Wednesday’s show. I’m not sure what’s going on with their covert operations at this point.
Flashback to 11:17PM BBT 9/2 Cams 1/2 as Derrick Levasseur and Frankie Grande discuss the absence of any word from Big Brother on Team America. Derrick suggests it’s likely wrapped up after last week’s “ehh, do whatever” mission that ended in an “overwhelming no.” Frankie disagrees.
Frankie is confident they have more work ahead and even mentions what we have heard discussed before. Should any member of Team America be evicted the tasks and missions would carry on until no one was left to take orders, per the rules from Big Brother. So what’s going on?
For much of the Team America season we saw missions arrive at the start of the Big Brother week. Then last week the Team America viewers’ vote wasn’t until Wednesday night. With no word yet to either viewers or the TA HGs I think we’re about to see a repeat of that late cycle vote and I’m worried of just what that might be.
Ahead of us tonight will be the Veto comp and ceremony as this week’s nominees, Christine and Nicole, face a new chance for safety and the rest of the house faces an interesting proposal from Caleb. What if they put Nicole’s eviction on hold and went for a bigger, pink frosted target?
With time running out on the season the HGs will have to start taking bigger risks and making bigger moves if they want to pad their Big Brother resume and control who they take to the end.
Join us tonight at 8PM ET to chat with other fans as we enjoy the latest Big Brother episode.
When Big Brother 16 is over, we will say this was the season of Coulda Shoulda Woulda. So many big moves planned – and so many safe moves prevailed. People get mad when recruits/non fans are cast, and this season had a lot of superfans (ok, we’ll call them big fans) – and they know that sometimes the best move made are the ones not made.
Fans at home always love to see the big moves because that makes the game exciting to watch, but those big moves could also work against the players in the long run. Remember, the people playing do not have all the info we do, so they are playing based on perception.
Also before I get to the ratings, I also want to say that the Big Brother HG’s have been locked up for 77 days now – away from their loved ones for about 84 or so. While I do not agree with all the things that some of the players say & do – anyone who has never been locked up like that cannot imagine what kind of mindf**k it is. The intense pressure that they are under sometimes brings out the worst in people.
As fans, we are not under the same pressure, so I ask that you think about that before spewing vile comments back at them. We are not forced to watch, we are not forced to listen, we do it because we want to. These people will have to pay for their actions & words when they get out. At the core, Big Brother is a social experiment, both inside & outside the house.
Rant over – now lets see who gets bacon this week – and who gets tofu!
Frankie – 3 strips of Tofu – my pre-ranking rant was based mostly on Frankie. He has gone over the top too many times now for us to ignore, and it’s starting to get to the point where it is truly damaging his game. He was one Beast Mode Conscious decision away from getting backdoored this week. The whispers are getting louder and he sees it coming, but yet instead of trying to mend relationships, he seems more content on playing the villain role.
Does he really think that he will be able to turn those frowns into smiles on the jury member’s faces? They are the ones that truly decide his fate. I would give him an extra strip or 2 of Tofu for not volunteering to be a Have Not this week – but as we have seen, he loves Tofu, so no reward for him.
Derrick – 2 strips of Tofu – while it has not come back to haunt him yet, going for the $5000 Dollas & Hollas during this week’s HoH competition, Derrick has given the rest of the HG’s an excuse to boot him. He is still the mastermind of the house, and the rest of the players do not realize it. They also do not give him credit for it, and perhaps he has been too subtle in his actions – that the jury would not vote for him at the end. Every move (or non move) this season has gone through him, he’s been so deep undercover – if he tries to take credit for it later, will people believe it? Now is the time for him to implement an end game before it’s too late.
Victoria – 1 strip of Tofu – just like her game most of the season, I dont really have much to say about Victoria this week. The $50K insurance policy is still there, back on the block & in no real danger of going home. She should be getting her popcorn ready to watch the final members of the Bomb Squad go after each other after this week. I just fear that something odd will happen during the Double Eviction tomorrow night, and she may be the victim of a knee jerk decision & be sent home.
There’s not much talk going on about this week of Big Brother 16, but there’s a lot going on about what the HGs have planned for the double eviction and beyond. I think this isn’t good news for Nicole as no one is talking about keeping her this week. Find out what else happened on the Big Brother Feeds in the house today.
Big Brother 16 Live Feed Highlights – Tuesday, September 2, 2014:
Which Houseguest is your favorite this week on Big Brother? Cast your vote now & tell us why you think he or she is the best of the season. This is purely a popularity poll so feel free based on who you think is playing the best game, looks the cutest by the pool, or even just annoys you the least. I’ll keep running this each week for the rest of the season for fun.
The “least favorite” poll is still open at Big Big Brother’s so feel free to cast your opposing vote there as well though I’m not sure Frankie will ever come down from the lead he has there.
Check out our past popularity polls to see the latest trends for this season’s Houseguests on BB16.
This week on Big Brother 16 the always awesome Double Eviction live show is heading our way on Thursday night starting at 9PM on CBS for the last Thurs show of the season.
We know who is going home first, but anything can happen when it comes to the second round of voting. Things are looking rough for the guys alliance as their nearly Backdoor’d ally is on edge with the news of Caleb’s wavering support.
Could this lead us to some action when the rushed HoH and Veto competitions arrive? Geez, I hope so! This week’s theme will be “all is calm and quiet” with the target set and everyone jittery about making it through the final three weeks of Big Brother.
Yes, we’ve still got another three weeks to go before the BB16 season finale on Wed, September 24th. The Big Brother schedule has changed with this week’s eviction show being the last one on a Thursday night so be sure to adjust your DVR.
As for this week’s DE potential victims, Cody has threatened to go after Frankie and Christine. Nicole has advised Victoria to go after Cody and Christine. Frankie has promised the guys he’ll go after the girls to prove his loyalty.
And Derrick? Well do we think Derrick will gamble and dodge the power? If not, I wouldn’t be surprised to see him go after Christine. Everyone else would likely keep Derrick, so why would he directly do anything against Frankie just yet?
What do you hope to see happen on Thursday’s Double Eviction episode? Who would you put up on the block if you had the choice?
