We’ve arrived at Big Brother 16 Finale Day and a very important decision awaits one of the final three Houseguests. If Derrick wins Round 3 tonight then the choice to evict could be a $500,000 mistake. With everyone else prepared to take him to the end, it’s worth asking: will Derrick throw the last competition?
I’ve discussed the F2 possibilities thoroughly over the past few days as we’ve anxiously awaited the Big Brother season finale. While I’m confident that given the chance, both Victoria and Cody would decide to take Derrick on to the end it’s been interesting to watch as Derrick has solidified his commitment to the Hitmen. Could a choice to go to the end with Cody cost him Victoria’s support?
If Derrick wanted to get to the end with Cody but didn’t want to risk Victoria’s vote, should a choice to go with Cody cost him that, then there was an option. Throwing the third round of the final HoH would let Derrick avoid the eviction vote and keep his hands clean. I don’t think he has to do that anymore.
Happy Big Brother 16 Finale Day. Tonight either Derrick, Cody (OK, or Victoria) will win Big Brother 16. Yesterday the final three spent their final day in the Big Brother house, and it was a pretty quiet day. There were few emotions, no last-minute strategizing or anything. Just three people hanging out. Find out what else happened on the Big Brother Feeds in the house yesterday.
Big Brother 16 Live Feed Highlights – Tuesday, September 23, 2014:
The end of Big Brother 16 is here and it’s time to say goodbye to our sixteen Houseguests and their journey that kicked off way back in June. It’s been the longest season of Big Brother and while there hasn’t been quite the same level of fireworks as in the past we’ve still had plenty of big events.
Yesterday I ran through some highlight moments for each of the Houseguests, but today it’s time to start in on the season’s highlights with our Top 10 Events list. This was a hard one to narrow down, as they always are, so I’m sure there will be disagreements on the rankings and especially what made the cut and what didn’t. Our list is just that: ours. Read through and then share yours too!
#10 – Devin Calls a House Meeting – Tears Ensue
I do love me a good House Meeting and while we didn’t have much of that this season Devin did not disappoint in his three weeks on BB16. Devin called the HGs together on July 2nd at 11:19PM BBT and offered up a confession. He wanted to revolutionize the way Big Brother is played by doing it with honor and integrity. Oh goodie, that usually works well.
Devin confessed to misreading Donny and failing to be the good role model for his daughter that he wanted her to see when she looks up this season of Big Brother in twenty years. The HGs was left scratching their heads and unsure what to make of this guy other than he seemed a bit off his rocker.
Following the meeting Frankie observed that all Devin had managed to do was unite the house against him. Caleb was upset because Devin took credit for his nominations and no one does that to Beast Mode. How’d it all work out for Devin? As soon as his HoH was over, he was the next Houseguest voted out.
#9 – Brittany Kicks 2400 Goals in 24 Hours
There are punishments and then there are Big Brother punishments. Brittany Martinez encountered the latter when she lost out in the Week 4 Power of Veto competition and was challenged to complete 2400 soccer goals in 24 hours or be banned from competing in competitions the following week.
Well it turned out she was the target that week and it didn’t really matter since she couldn’t compete from home next week anyway. But Brittany was determined and even though she saw the writing on the wall she stuck to it and completed the challenge with plenty of time to spare. Flashback to 5:10PM BBT on July 20th to watch her complete the challenge.
The Final 3 Houseguests took one last turn in the Big Brother Photo Booth this weekend as they prepared for the season finale on Wednesday. Victoria collected up the last keys left in the Memory Wall for a few fun pics and Derrick noted that was the first time his key was pulled out. Crazy!
Check out the BB16 HGs photos and see who makes the best pose this final week.
Big Brother 16 has been progressing along a predictable path mostly because of Derrick Levasseur’s iron fist control of the game, its players, and the moves made from week to week, but could we be about to get a giant shock on finale night?
On the last season of Big Brother Canada which is now busily casting for BBCAN3, we arrived at an incredibly similar line-up for the Final 3 HGs. Jon and Neda had worked closely and silently all season as the biggest power duo in the house while dragging along the isolated and effectively incapacitated Sabrina to the season finale. (Sabrina was a power player at the start of the season, so the similarities mostly end there for her and Victoria.)
Neda had been the mastermind while Jon acted as the brawn winning comps and doing the dirty work. F2 was on lock for the pair but when the final eviction came Jon completely shocked me when he turned on his closest ally and voted her out so he could go to the end with the easily defeat-able Sabrina where he did just that. It was a stunning move by Jon but absolutely the only way he could win and it worked.
Right now we’re looking at Derrick the mastermind, Cody the brawns, and Victoria the pawn. Cody and Derrick have sworn allegiance to each other as they prepare for Round 3 of the Final HoH. If Cody wins R3 and takes Derrick I firmly believe he will lose while Derrick should win against either Cody or Victoria.
We are just over a day away from Big Brother 16 coming to an end and what a crazy season it was. I have said it over and over all year – it’s been the season of the Safe Moves – but along the way we met some interesting people, and have made memories that will last, well, at least 9 months until Big Brother 17.
During the week that wasn’t I gave out Bacon to the first 5 evicted Houseguests. This week as we head into the finale – I will give out Bacon to the first 8 jury members. Catch my year in review later this week after we crown a winner, but now lets look at the people that will decide who really brings home the bacon.
Jocasta – 1 strip of Bacon – it’s always tough to be an older person in the house, especially when there are so many young physical players. Sure, you do not have to win all the competitions to get far, but you need to win a few along the way to keep you safe. Sadly – Jocasta only had 1 competition win for the season, and she had very little to do with winning.
Week 3 Donny won the Veto and pulled her off the block. That was so they could backdoor Devin. Week 4 Jocasta won the BotB – but that was because Amber kicked ass. She did pretty well in the BB Boxing comp and almost earned her way back into the house, but really, would she have done anything different?
Hayden – 2 strips of Bacon – I wasn’t sure what kind of player we would get when I saw Hayden’s preseason interview. Was he gonna be BB15 David part 2? Would he be like BB12 Hayden? Well, he was a little bit of both. He had his laid back surfer attitude & he also had a brief showmance with Nicole – but I give him 2 strips of bacon because, like me, he is a metalhead & does some amazing metal screams. He had the right idea to team up with Nicole, Cody & Derrick – but the Hitmen decided to not rock the boat, and Hayden was toast.
Zach – 4 strips of Bacon – Zach surely was the most entertaining player this season. Only Devin was close to matching his unpredictability. It was that trait that eventually got him eliminated from the game, but not before leaving his mark on his fellow houseguests and fans alike. We will all now use the term Fruit Loop Dingus in everyday conversation.
