Big Brother Live Feeds on Paramount+

There appears to be a massive change to the way we will be watching Big Brother Live Feeds for the Big Brother 26 season that was just uncovered in Paramount+’s FAQ section and it all comes down to really emphasizing the LIVE part of the Live Feeds.

@BBGossip did some important reading and discovered that Paramount and CBS intend to *only* provide the Feeds via live streams with *no rewind or Flashback* available starting this season. Straight from the ParamountPlus.com website:

We’ve recently made some changes to our Live Feeds experience. Starting this season, archives and flashbacks are no longer available, but you can still watch all four cameras with the live feeds!

Rewinding to catch the latest moments on Big Brother Feeds has been a huge part of the experience for the show and is a key element to making this such a different and unique experience. Losing that ability strips away at the show and opens us up to some not-so-great stuff too.

Without being able to rewind we won’t know for sure what someone has said or done for the game itself or if it’s an accusation spreading in the fandom. There’s a real risk to false narratives being pushed along without a reliable way to verify or disprove. Missed the big house meeting and fallout? Too bad, no rewind for you. Trying to catch two conversations in two rooms at the same time? Better choose wisely because you’ll never get to hear the other! Stepped away and that important alliance formation happened without you? It’s like it was never there at all. Sigh.

This is terrible for fans’ experience, for the show itself, and definitely for the fandom’s coverage of all things Big Brother. I’m shocked by this decision and while I hope they would reconsider I do not anticipate that happening and this decision to be set for the summer.

I’ve reached out to CBS’s press contacts for Big Brother to see if there is some official announcement because right now this is snuck in as a dig-to-find-it note in the FAQs on Paramount+’s website. I will share updates as we learn more.

Update 1: Feeds placeholder page is up on their website and it appears to just be streaming PlutoTV’s coverage (see the PlutoTV logo in the bottom right corner). So they’re cutting costs and doing it cheaper without any buffer or storage on the Feeds.
