It’s a story as old as Big Brother itself. First week Head of Household comes in, loses their mind with power, makes a huge mess of everything, and then is shocked to discover the safety and security of HOH doesn’t last another eleven weeks. Meet Angela Murray!
Angela arrived on Big Brother 26 like a bull in a China shop when the stress of the game overtook her and with no Dr. Phil in sight this time around she just let loose. We saw Angela rejecting proposed mega-alliances, scaring away cautious allies, and of course the CRAZY EYES Matt situation. She’s a perfect easy Week 2 target, right? Maybe not.
Overnight we discovered that Chelsie had won HOH as Angela stepped down off the throne, but was she really the new HOH’s top pick? Or even in the running as a backup? Bad news for those hoping to see Angela out the door in round two here.
Chelsie had already set her targets on Lisa and her unlimited glitter supply so when the dust settled from the HOH comp we’ve got some potential line ups to consider. Keep in mind that there will need to be not just two, but three nominations this week again thanks to the BBAI Arena. If Lisa is her target and she doesn’t mind making that clear and known with an upfront nomination then who else goes with her? Sure, it could be Angela but with Kenney already volunteering to be a pawn (wut??) and the House in a state of satisfaction to see Angela go then is there really a need for Chelsie to burn her HOH run on the House target?
Angela did manage to knock out a full house of competitors to get her HOH win and with more comps recently being a more level playing field than usual it’s entirely possible Angela could fall backwards into power again, but I think that’s a risk Chelsie may be willing to take.
As of now, I’m thinking Angela is going to make it through to see the light of Week 3 on Big Brother 26. Lisa is a priority while Angela is an after thought. And Chelsie has Kenney lined up as a volunteer pawn already (I’m still, just, what is he thinking??). Putting Angela up as a 3rd spot when she’s a loose cannon and not even a target for Chelsie is just begging for trouble that isn’t needed. I don’t think she’ll take on that headache unless push comes to CRAZY EYES shove.
What do you think of Angela’s chances this week? Setting aside how you feel about Angela’s behavior, does she really make sense to be a target for Chelsie or are there better, more glittery options available to her?
