CBS is making it official: Big Brother 26 start date has been revealed as our favorite reality show returns to primetime this summer for the 2024 season.
Block out your calendar for the two-night premiere of Big Brother starting Wednesday, July 17th at 9PM ET/PT followed by the second night on Thursday, July 18th also at 9PM ET/PT.
CBS also confirmed that Julie Chen Moonves returns as our perennial host after her Reindeer Games reprieve. That should mean we’ll see Julie every Thursday night for the live eviction as BB26 is slated to run on Sunday, Wednesday, and Tuesday at 9/8c on CBS.
And don’t you worry, yes the Live Feeds are back for Big Brother again this summer and you can watch those on your Paramount+ account like last year.
So how does the Big Brother 26 start compare this year? Remember last season on BB25 had the new season start two weeks later than this and instead launched in early August. That was not-so-fun considering it lasted into November. Big Brother in November? Get outta here!
CBS did not confirm if we’ll see a 100-day season or something shorter like we used to see long ago. I’d say 100 days is too much, but if CBS needs to fill the schedule then I imagine they’ll do it. Should the 2024 season run as long as last year then with a two week earlier start we should finish by mid/late October. By the time we get to Halloween we should be BB-free.
So who all went to the open call casting events this spring? We can’t wait to see who grabs a key to be part of this season’s cast and we’ll be watching for those early rumors and reports which will probably all be wrong anyway, but that’s the preseason fun for you, right?
