The Houseguests escaped the backyard and returned to the safety of the house this week on Big Brother 26 so let’s get to the real action and go over everything that has happened since Thursday’s live show.
Final 7 Houseguests have arrived with just 3 weeks in the season so we’re just about into the final stretches of this summer’s run through the Big Brother house. No time for mistakes and any missteps could send you off to the Jury House!
Head of Household:
When Thursday’s show ended we were watching the six competing HGs (Leah watched from the HOH room) try to stack all the pieces of “candy” and have the highest score before the one-hour timer ran out or everything collapsed. From the few minutes we watched it looked like Angela was mightily in the lead, but things like that can be fleeting.
When the dust settled and the Feeds returned we found it was Makensy who pulled off the victory with her first HOH win of the season (but one of now many comps wins overall).
Nominations:
As soon as we saw Makensy on the Feeds we also learned that she was planning to nominate Kimo and Angela with Kimo as the target… well, at least that’s what she told Leah. But then immediately after that she went to others and told them she had just lied to Leah. In fact, her target was actually Angela.
When Noms were revealed, sure enough, Angela and Kimo were on the Block. Angela received assurances from Makensy that this was just a pawn position for her and Kimo was the target, but we know that’s not the truth.
Veto Competition:
The only real thing remaining in the path to Makensky’s planned Angela-eviction was the Veto. Feeds were down for just shy of seven hours for an individual performance comp. Makensy is building up her resume with another win on this one too.
Several HGs timed out on their attempts to complete this challenge so we’ll have to see on Wednesday just how hard it really was. But you know what else has run out? Our Veto streak. Looks like it’ll stop at nine with last week’s ceremony.
Veto Meeting:
There’s just no way Makensy uses the Veto. Her target is on the Block and she won’t upend her own nominations just to save Kimo and renom Rubina or Leah. That’s the problem as it would show her hand again with whoever she renom’d. There’s no gain in it for her.
When Monday’s ceremony arrives I fully expect Makensy to put the medallion back in the box and march on to Thursday’s vote where Angela will be sent out to Jury. She lasted way longer than I expected!
And don’t forget, the Double Eviction looms ahead on Thursday night so you won’t want to miss this week’s live show.
