Only five Houseguests remain now on Big Brother 26 and every move could have make or break written all over it for these HGs’ final moves of the season. So now after Makensy intentionally arranged herself between two duos it’s interesting to see what her plan here might be for making it to finale night.
Makensy had an ally in Leah but thanks to Chelsie’s hard work we just saw that connection walk out the door first in Thursday’s Double Eviction. Soon after Angela followed Leah out leaving us with just Cam, Chelsie, Kimo, Makensy, and Rubina. Cam & Chelsie have long been working together as have Rubina & Kimo. Makensy has been more of a free agent this season as she kept shifting and moving when she had power, but more recently she’s been cozying up to Chelsie. Or perhaps, Chelsie has been wisely getting close to Makensy.
After a lot of wins, Makensy is building a solid resume but there’s still a strong threat to her game left in the house. Oddly enough, I think that’s who she most wants to keep.
Talking with Chelsie overnight we heard from Makensy the unsurprising plan to nominate Kimo and Rubina. In case either of them wins the Veto then it’d be Cam going up as the renom. Sounds like Makensy is working hard to keep her biggest competition safe in the game. Yes, I think Makensy deep down is most loyal to Chelsie and plans to work to get to the end with her. I think she’ll lose to Chelsie in the end, but at least it’d be consistent to Makensy’s game so far.
Makensy is great at comps and terrible at strategy. She’s gone after allies, shifted to the “losing” side by choice, and generally been pliable by those around her. If she continues to protect Chelsie I think she’s only hurting her chances at the end. And then my real curiosity wonders what about Chelsie in return? Would Chelsie really want to get to F2 with Makensy over the other three options who should all be much, much easier to defeat with the Jury’s vote?
