Houseguests delivered a fun little shakeup on Monday after the Veto Meeting that kept our streak alive on Big Brother 26 but it definitely left some viewers and HGs confused on “what just happened here.” So why not go straight to the source as Leah explained her move with the Power of Veto this week on Big Brother.
After Leah won her Veto medallion on Saturday she was extremely proud of her accomplishment and we kept seeing her wearing it around the house. So when Quinn started suggesting Leah not use her newfound power and she wasn’t outright stating she agreed to toss it back in the box, well this wasn’t a huge surprise.
Leah did use her Veto and she did use it on her ally Angela. Quinn was none too pleased and Joseph ended up on the Block as a renom. What is it with this season and HOHs putting close allies on the Block?? Anyway, so when Angela and Leah found themselves alone together on Tuesday we got to hear a little into why Leah did what she did.
“I didn’t know why it’s okay for T’kor and Kimo to be grouped together or two people to be grouped together. Like everyone has their person. I’m not allowed?” explained Leah. “That’s what I was saying to them!” replied Angela. Angela then went on to say how Leah brings her happiness. Leah questioned why “I’m not allowed to have my person that’s loyal to me?”
Leah explained that she understands her Veto win was a first for this season where the winner wasn’t also in jeopardy, so for her to use it out of “want” versus a “need” was more complicated than others who had a more justified reason to use it.
Leah adds on that she used it to save Angela because she considered Angela to be the only person in the game who was “unshakable” and “has an unwavering loyalty with me.” Leah says that uniqueness of their relationship is what made it worth her sticking her neck out in the game.
We’ll get to see this Veto meeting play out on Wednesday’s Veto episode of Big Brother 26. Now with Angela off the Block and Joseph up in her spot then it’ll be either Joseph, Kimo, or Rubina going home and that debate continues on. We’ll keep watching to see what happens next!
