It’s been an active week for the Big Brother 26 houseguests. It started with the announcement of another Big Brother couple: Makensy Manbeck and Matt Hardeman made their romance Instagram official. This led into the weekend. Most of the Big Brother 26 houseguests spent last weekend in the Orlando area for the Over the Edge Celebrity Weekend event. This event had hundreds of reality TV stars participate.
Many of the houseguests used the event to raise money for their individual causes. These ranged from helping Planned Parenthood to the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation. The former houseguests helped a wide range of causes, charities, and nonprofit organizations. The fundraising began before the weekend event and top fundraisers were also awarded a plaque.
Over the Edge’s Celebrity Weekend included activities such as photo opportunities, meet and greets, signings, and trivia nights. Many former Big Brother houseguests seized the opportunity to also meet some of their fans. Among those Big Brother houseguests who attended the event were Taylor Hale, Joseph Abdin, Paulie Calafiore, Rachel Reilly, Brendon Villegas, America Lopez, and Jag Bains.
The Big Brother 26 houseguests also really came to represent, as 12 of the 16 former contestants attended. The only ones absent were Angela Murray, Brooklyn Rivera, Lisa Weintraub, and Kimo Apaka. We know Brooklyn couldn’t attend due to prior engagements with her daughter’s cheerleading team. We assume that the traveling might have been too much for Kimo, as a Hawaii native and it might conflict with his work schedule. Lisa and Angela could have just been busy or didn’t want to attend it.
Because so many Big Brother 26 houseguests came out to raise money and meet fans, this event became the unofficial cast reunion. Post-season, most of the cast have made no secret that they still enjoy each other’s company.
The weekend started with some former houseguests arriving early. Cedric Hodges, Joseph Rodriguez, Leah Peters, Quinn Martin, Tucker Des Lauriers, and Chelsie Baham all arrived early and held a meet and greet at Viper Video in Tampa, where Joseph works.
The next day the rest of the former Big Brother 26 houseguests in attendance arrived. While the event was happening, the houseguests made sure to post plenty of fun reunion photos and videos.
After the Big Brother 26 finale, many of the former houseguests shared an Airbnb while they were still in Los Angeles. This seems to be the case for this event as well. The houseguests also gave fans plenty of content during the event by posting photos, videos, live streams, viral challenges, and even causing some scandals.
One of those scandals was that Tucker and Rubina Bernabe and Matt and Makensy are not the only potential new Big Brother romances. Cedric and Leah were caught by Chelsie kissing in the shared Airbnb.
The two aren’t officially a couple but are still exploring their connection. Everyone seemed in high spirits at the event and had seemingly formed even tighter bonds. It seemed to be a drama-free event, and the bonding continued when Chelsie and Cam Sullivan-Brown immediately briefly visited Tucker in New York for another event.
However, some drama has emerged this week as Chelsie brought her infamous Chelsie Chisme segment to TikTok. She briefly talked about Angela on it, which led to Angela confronting Chelsie about some of the things that Chelsie said in the house about her. So it seems everyone at the event gets along fine, but Angela may still have a few beefs. And we’d expect nothing less of Angela.
It’s been nice to see the Big Brother 26 houseguests reunite, especially for some great causes. We don’t know when officially they’ll reunite next. However, during her Instagram Live, Rubina revealed that Friendzzzz will be together again in February for her birthday celebration. More former houseguests could also join the Friendzzzz in LA, like Cam who formed a bond with Rubina while in the house. Since Chelsie lives in the LA area as well, she might also join Friendzzzz for some of Rubina’s birthday celebrations. So that’s at least something to look forward to for those who still enjoy seeing the Big Brother 26 houseguests together.
