Big Brother 26 Episode 17 Recap: A Messy Veto Comp And Ceremony

We’ve come to expect a messy Big Brother house when the Hide-N-Go-Veto competition comes up. But we don’t usually expect an equally messy veto ceremony to follow. But when Tucker is holding the Power of Veto you might as well get ready for it.

Wednesday night’s episode of Big Brother 26 brought the return of fan-favorite competition Hide-N-Go-Veto, and with Tucker running the show this week, we all knew chaos was on the menu.

The episode picks up right after Tucker nominated Quinn, Brooklyn and Cam for eviction. Tucker lets us know that Brooklyn is the target and Quinn is the pawn. But Quinn is not buying it. He thinks Tucker is just messing with him and that he is Tucker’s eviction goal for the week.

Tucker goes to Brooklyn and Cam and tells them that Quinn is his target and he picked them as pawns to try to win the veto. And he again tells Quinn again that he is the pawn and not to tell the others. But Quinn still isn’t buying it.

Chelsie, meanwhile is pretty sure she could be the next Pentagon member to go up if the veto is used this week. And speaking of the Pentagon, Kimo reveals that five to Tucker. Kimo lets him know that there was an alliance within the Collective that he was not a part of. Tucker names all five members without Kimo having to say another word.

And since Quinn doesn’t believe Tucker, he can’t keep that pawn secret. He reveals to Brooklyn what Tucker told him. So now they know someone is being lied to because they can’t all be pawns. And Brooklyn is starting to catch on that she could be in trouble this week.

It’s time to pick players for veto competition.  Joining Tucker, Quinn, Brooklyn and Cam are Makensy and Joseph as Tucker’s houseguest’s choice.

Shortly after, Brooklyn reveals to Tucker that Quinn told her he was told he was the pawn. And Tucker is highly annoyed because he threw Quinn a bone and Quinn kind of fumbled it.

It’s time for Hide-n-go-Veto! Which means it’s time for some chaos! You know how this works. The players hide their veto somewhere inside the house. Then they tear the house up looking for the hidden vetos. The person whose veto isn’t found wins the Power of Veto.

Most of the players are bing mindful when looking for their vetos, but Brooklyn destroys the whole house. She intentionally throws out Tucker’s and T’Kor’s clothes because of what went down with the vote last week.

Eventually all but one veto is found, so it’s time to find out which one was hidden better than the others.

The vetos found belong to:

  • Brooklyn
  • Quinn
  • Makensy
  • Cam
  • Joseph

Tucker’s wasn’t found and has won the Power of Veto! They can’t even beat Tucker in a non-physical game that a 4-year-old could play and win.

Tucker’s celebration is short lived as he’s not happy with the mess someone made of his clothing. He thinks it was Quinn and calls him out. Quinn says he didn’t do it. A little later Tucker and Quinn have a serious talk and he lets Quinn know about Brooklyn telling him what Quinn said about being a pawn. Quinn is not happy with Brooklyn doing that and Quinn tells him again that he didn’t mess with his clothes. Quinn then decides to come clean about all the alliances and Tucker appreciates that. And Tucker decides to use all that ammo and blow up the veto meeting. Once again.

So this time, before he announces what he’s going to do with the veto, he decides to just bring everything out in the open about the Collective and The Pentagon. And then this time he uses the veto on Quinn and names Chelsie as the replacement nominee. He says he has learned that Brooklyn and Chelsie were the leaders of those alliances and now that they were going to vote Tucker out the second week he won AI Arena.
