Big Brother 26 Cast Split Over Two-Night Premiere

Julie Chen, host of Big Brother

With just days to go until the start of Big Brother 26 we’ve seen the new house and still no signs of the cast list yet. That’s to be expected but what I wasn’t expecting was Julie saying the cast would be rolled out across the two-night premiere.

In an interview with ET, host Julie Chen Moonves says the premiere is such a big event that we’ll meet the Houseguests in two waves:

“It is so big this season that we needed a two night premiere because the first night… you meet the first eight Houseguests. Then the next night you meet the back eight.”

Now what I’m hoping is we still get the full cast revealed in advance per usual and then for the show itself the move-in will be split up. No word yet on when the cast drop will happen but we hope to be involved again in that this season and have that for you when it starts happening.

In that discussion Julie also confirmed that we’ll have 16 HGs, 8 men and 8 women. No big surprise there, but always good to get confirmations on the basics. From there Julie continues on about BBAI which is the season’s theme/twist or at least it is until Week 3 if it falls flat and and everyone pretends like it was never part of the season anyway (“It’s a BB Takeover!!”)

You can watch the full interview here on ETonline.com and hear what else Julie has to say about the new season of Big Brother 26 starting on Wednesday, July 17th. Join us back here all season and find us on Facebook & Twitter plus download our Big Brother App for even more fun!
