Big Brother 25 Schedule Rumor: Start Date & Finale Date – Updated

Julie Chen on Big Brother finale

Update 2: CBS has announced the new season of BB25 starts August 2nd and ends November 9th!

The Big Brother 25 preseason couldn’t officially start without cranking up the rumor machine and this is a pretty good way to kick it off. No word yet on BB25 casting, but we do have a reliable lead on the Big Brother start date for summer 2023!

Update: Well that changed quickly! BBGossip’s sourced have updated him with word that this next season of Big Brother may be even more delayed than originally planned due to the Writers’ Strike and CBS’s hopes to fill the fall season gap. The new projected start date could be sometime in early August with a 99-day season that runs all the way into early November. Wowza. Stay tuned as we await more information and hopefully something official from CBS.

Thanks to @BBGossip and his sources, the reliable rumor has arrived for the Big Brother 25 start date and even the season’s planned finale night that won’t arrive until all the way into October!

I’ve been told that the current word is Big Brother will start on July 12th this year (that’s late!) and end around October 4th (again LATE!). I trust my sources, but sometimes things change! #BB25

A Big Brother 25 premiere on July 12th would work as a two-part season kick-off on that Wednesday and Thursday to lead into our usual weekly routine of Sundays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Then a finale date of October 4th lands on a Wednesday and again makes sense for what we’re used to seeing.

July start dates are what you’d be more accustomed to if you’ve been watching Big Brother since way back when before they started to creep into June and really stretch out the season. Then that also means we would see a shift into a later season finale and October would definitely be the case on that.

Lots of unknowns with the Writers Guild strike going on and CBS could be looking to cover a little more of their fall window here with this end date. Hopefully the strike is resolved well before that, but there would likely be effects of the delay eating into content for the fall season.

What do you think of these rumored dates? Do you miss the June launch or does a July debut feel like a better fit for our summer TV fun?

In the meantime, we’re waiting and watching for formal word on casting wrapping up and when CBS makes their official announcement on the Big Brother 25 premiere date! Join us on Facebook and Twitter for more Big Brother fun this summer.
