Big Brother 25 Player Rankings Week 1

Welcome to the Big Brother 25 Multiverse Player Rankings. In this universe I’m ranking the houseguests while Adam Poch takes the season off. I won’t be handing out bacon and tofu, but I’ll be grading each houseguest based on their gameplay, social skills and comp prowess. This week I’ll be looking more at the social aspect since that’s the most important part of the game right at the beginning. These scores will result in a final ranking of each houseguest. And I’ll go in order of best to worst. So let’s get to it.

Big Brother 25 Houseguest Report Card: Week 1

Cirie, 99/100 — Unfair advantage? Probably. Does she need it? No. I’m never into stunt casting, but I like Cirie, and I have always liked the idea of a Survivor player entering the Big Brother house, so I’m OK with it. And after watching her enter the game, with what should be huge target on her back, and quickly build relationships for herself and talk her son off the block in Week 1, I’m sold on Cirie the Big Brother player. We’ve all seen her play Survivor, and I watched her performance on The Traitors, which was nothing short of a masterclass. So I’m not surprised she’s positioned herself so well in the first week of the game. She just misses a perfect score because she has shown some surprising paranoia and I think her alignment with Izzy, though totally necessary, could be a detriment.

Felicia, 94/100 — The fact that a pawn has never been more of a pawn says a lot about the impression Felicia has made on the other houseguests. Will she win many competitions? Likely no. But will she be loyal to her group and entertaining? You can count on that. I think Felicia might be in it for the long haul. BB better buy some extra microphone packs.

Jared, 91/100 — Jared has made some missteps already, but if you really think about it, he’s better positioned than his mother. He is good with everyone in the house and is in both large alliances (even if he is kind of at the bottom of both). That doesn’t always work out, but the way he’s been able to work that right out of the gate can’t be overshadowed by any fumbles he’s made. And while having a rock-solid ally in the house could be an unfair advantage, that’s neither her nor there this week. I’m looking at how everyone has played the game socially Week 1, and Jared has excelled.

Reilly, 90/100 — After this week I feel like Reilly’s GPA is going to tank, but if we’re looking at just Week 1, I can’t ignore how she’s built an army (even if she refuses to own it). She gets points for winning the first HOH (even though that is usually a terrible idea). She gets more points, though, for somehow finding two men, Jag and Matt, to be her loyal henchmen. Not to mention Blue coming up with some pretty distasteful plans to protect Reilly when she’s vulnerable next week. But again, she’s not owning any of this, so it was hard for me to rank her this high, but here we are.

Hisam, 90/100 — Hisam isn’t for everyone, and I think those who find him polarizing won’t get how he’s ranked so high, but he really has everyone figured out, and he did so fast. He isn’t the best at being fake, though, so that will be his eventual downfall, but for a Week 1 player, he’s doing pretty well in my book. And he won the first Power of Veto, so he had a nice dose of power this week. He ends up with the same score as Reilly mostly because he’s made himself, along with Izzy, as the other side’s target.

Cory, 86/100 — Cory went from the first target to completely safe and in a huge alliance all in a matter of days. When he was “sucked into the Nether Region,” things weren’t looking good for him. When someone misses those important first moments in the Big Brother house, that gives the player a big deficit. And the fact that people at first thought Cory came back into the house with some sort of secret power was also not good for his game. But no one is even talking about that any longer. I do think Cory will soon be a target once again, but for Week 1, not a bad showing.

Matt, 85/100 — Matt has surprised a lot of fans after some bad first impressions, but the way he’s warmed his way into some hearts supports that whole “Don’t judge a book by its cover” saying. Matt doesn’t seem like he would be anyone’s target right away.

Jag, 85/100 — Jag is right there with Matt on Reilly’s side of the house. He’s pretty much Reilly’s right hand, so that’s kind of annoying as it seems he’s not really playing his own game, but he is playing.

Cameron, 84/100 — I debated on whether or not to put Cameron ahead of Matt and Jag because he actually sees that being in a huge alliance that everyone knows about might be a bad idea. He has tried to branch out to the other side, but they’re also aware that he’s doing that. So that really doesn’t position him much better, but it does show he might be thinking ahead more than the others. So maybe I should move him up to an 86. Nah, he annoys me too much to do that. Maybe next week.

Blue, 80/100 — Blue is in the core of the Reilly group also, but she’s not really branching out enough, and that’s going to end up hurting her. She seems to be putting all her eggs in Reilly’s basket, and that group is a ticking time bomb.

Mecole, 79/100 — I think Mecole is doing a great job building relationships and staying under the radar. The fact that I don’t have more to say at this moment is a really good sign for her.

Bowie, 79/100 — I could pretty much say the same thing about Bowie that I just said about Mecole. She hasn’t made any waves, and at this early point in the game, that actually counts a lot.

America, 78/100 — If I’m going to say that about Mecole and Bowie, then I probably need to say it about America also. But I think she’s maybe laying too low, so much so that I barely know her. I write Live Feeds updates daily, and I don’t know if I’ve ever even included her in an update so far.

Red, 75/100 — Red is also just kind of existing at the moment. He did find his way into the Cirie side alliance, so he should have some support if he needs it anytime soon.

Izzy, 70/100 — Izzy really needs to CHILL OUT. She could be a good player, but she’s just so all over the place and has absolutely no chill. She has made herself a huge target, and I’d probably grade her even lower if she didn’t hold the power of Cirie and Jared’s secret. I’m not sure she’d ever use it as she seems a bit obsessed with Cirie, but she sure could use it if she needed to.

68/100 — Kirsten. It’s sad to me that Kirsten is ranked this low and is going to the first boot. I don’t understand it. It’s just how this twist turned things out. I have no reason to rank her any higher, though, because she is going home this week. She apparently made herself the target on both sides of the house, but I never really saw anything that warranted it. And now she’s being shunned, so that’s even more sad.

0/100 — Luke. He gets a big fat F. I can think of a few F words that fit Luke, but this F word is a FAIL. Not only is he terrible at Big Brother and seemingly at social circles in general, he dropped the N-word in the house Wednesday morning and should be pulled from the game. But will that happen? Update: Yes, it happened.

These scores and rankings are simply my own. There’s no real science to it, so please don’t take them so seriously. If you disagree, please share your thoughts in our comments below and on Twitter and Facebook! Let’s discuss!
