Sunday in the Big Brother 24 house was filled with conflict over what to do with the Veto. Taylor as HOH had a new plan and that put the Veto holder in a tricky position to betray his own side-ally and their newly minted physical relationship.
Oh yes, Alyssa revealed to Turner that her and Kyle made it official in the HN room the night before. I’m sure it’s unrelated, but Alyssa’s back hurt pretty bad later in the day. Pool floaties on a hard floor might not have been the best setup for that.

Big Brother 24 Live Feed Highlights – Sunday, August 14, 2022:
9:00 AM BBT – Few HGs starting to stir for the day.
10:15 AM BBT – HGs got their wake-up call.
11:00 AM BBT – Michael assures Indy that Kyle will use the Veto to save her. (He probably won’t.) He says they should watch Taylor and Monte to see if there’s something going on there.
11:10 AM BBT – Michael struggles with folding a fitted sheet and gives up.
11:25 AM BBT – Michael warns Kyle the rest of the LOs are going to ask him to use the Veto so Alyssa can be renom’d. Kyle wonders if he should just go along with it then.
11:40 AM BBT – Kyle says if Taylor doesn’t want to nominate Jasmine for personal reasons then maybe he could similarly not want to use the Veto for personal reasons.
12:00 PM BBT – Kyle questions Joseph on how things changed so quickly from Terrance to Indy to Alyssa for the target. Kyle still wants to get out Indy instead.
12:15 PM BBT – Joseph kinda walks it back with Kyle that renom’ing Alyssa was just an option/idea they discussed. He tells Kyle that he (K) is out of the loop because he’s spending so much time with Alyssa instead of the alliance.
12:20 PM BBT – Taylor camtalks that she twice said during the Veto comp that she could still be deciding the renoms and Alyssa still went ahead and took the trip from her (that Jasmine then took from Alyssa). She’s also frustrated that Jasmine is turning a previous conversation against her now after they celebrated Taylor’s HOH win as the last two African American women in the house.
12:30 PM BBT – Joseph comes upstairs to let Taylor know that Kyle isn’t happy about the Alyssa-renom plan.
12:40 PM BBT – Taylor talks with Joseph about the possibility to target Jasmine instead. Joseph doesn’t like the idea.
12:45 PM BBT – Turner with Brittany and advocating for Indy to be the target this week.
1:00 PM BBT – Michael joined the HOH room. They’ve been discussing who is the better target for this week. He lets them know he told Kyle that he might be asked to use the Veto so Alyssa could be renom’d. Taylor feels if Kyle doesn’t use the Veto and they’ve asked him to do it then it’s a move against the LOs.
1:10 PM BBT – Taylor wants to threaten Kyle that he’ll be the first to go to Jury from the LOs if he doesn’t use the Veto. Joseph warns her against saying that.
1:15 PM BBT – Joseph let Monte know Kyle doesn’t want to use the Veto. Monte is surprised.
1:55 PM BBT – Michael gives Kyle a heads up that he talked with Taylor & Joseph and they still want Kyle to use the Veto. Michael is pinning this more on Joseph than Taylor. Kyle hints that the LOs were formerly The Pound before they added more members.
1:59 PM BBT – Alyssa tells Turner that things got sexual last night with Kyle in the HN room. Turner: “Oh that’s nice. Like all, all the…” Alyssa confirms. Now she’s feeling anxious about that messing with her game. She’s stressed and asks him not to tell anyone. He agrees. Turner asks where it happened and she says the HN room. “Ohh ho ho, romantic,” says Turner.
2:00 PM BBT – Kyle warns Michael that Monte suggested Michael as the first LO to go because of Michael’s track record.
2:20 PM BBT – Turner lets Kyle know that he knows what happened last night. He says he wasn’t supposed to tell Kyle he knew. Kyle worries about this adding another level of complexity to the situation with the Veto. Turner is pushing again for Jasmine to be the target. Turner wants Taylor out of the LO first because she’s too chaotic.
2:25 PM BBT – Kyle asks if he can get Turner’s support along with Michael and Brittany so then they have the majority of LO saying not to use the Veto.
3:00 PM BBT – Turner suggested to Monte that Kyle and Alyssa have become exceptionally close very recently.
3:10 PM BBT – Monte tells Kyle he’s okay with either Alyssa or Indy going but thinks this is the right opportunity for Alyssa because they may not have a reason to do it later. (The reason being now that Alyssa took Taylor’s trip prize in the Veto comp.) Kyle says it will look like he was in on the BD-Alyssa plan. Monte says it will look like he conspired with them if he doesn’t use it.
3:20 PM BBT – Jasmine wants to release a balloon into the air to commemorate her birthday and as a tribute to her father. Turner points out that’s dangerous for animals and the environment and suggests maybe she shouldn’t do that. Jasmine is about to be upset.
3:35 PM BBT – Monte tells Taylor he doesn’t trust the other side and questions the timing of Alyssa being emotional and crying this morning while opening up to him about things.
3:40 PM BBT – Indy worries to Michael that Kyle may be working with Monte and then he won’t use the Veto.
3:42 PM BBT – Taylor tells Monte that if Kyle doesn’t use the veto, she’s going to tell him she doesn’t want to put him in a position where him choosing not to do it would put him in a lower spot in the Leftovers. Monte says that everyone is in agreement to discuss it later in the night.
3:45 PM BBT – Joseph goes to check on Jasmine. She’s alone in the hammock and upset that Turner said she shouldn’t release a balloon because it’s bad for the environment. Jasmine says Turner is inconsiderate and disrespectful. Joseph is trying to talk her down.
3:56 PM BBT – Kyle, Brittany and Michael discuss what’s been going on this week. They say this week has been messy. Kyle thinks that Taylor was going to target him until he won veto.
3:58 PM BBT – Kyle tells Michael and Brittany that there’s no way he’s using the veto.
4:00 PM BBT – Michael tells Kyle that Taylor might try to strong-arm him into using the veto. Brittany and Michael say they won’t hold it against him if they don’t use it.
4:02 PM BBT – Kyle says that Monte, Taylor and Joseph are the loud ones of the alliance while Kyle, Michael and Brittany are the “silent majority.” He says they don’t have to let them strong-arm them.
4:06 PM BBT – Turner talks to Alyssa about the altercation he had with Jasmine.
4:24 PM BBT – Joseph tells Turner that Jasmine was still upset and even got mad at him while he was talking t0 her about the balloon thing.
4:29 PM BBT – Jasmine complaining about Turner to Alyssa. She says she has to make it to the end because she really doesn’t want to be in jury with Turner.
4:35 PM BBT – Taylor indicates to Terrance that he’ll be coming off the block.
4:53 PM BBT – Turner apologizes to Jasmine. Turner tells her he was just thinking about pollution because he cares about the climate.
5:13 PM BBT – Jasmine and Turner agree not to target each other over their spat.
6:12 PM BBT – Kyle asks Brittany for them to stick up for him for not using the veto.
6:15 PM BBT – Kyle tells Alyssa that people are going to want him to use the veto, but he’s not going to.
7:05 PM BBT – Michael asks Kyle if he’s told Taylor he doesn’t want to use the veto. He says not yet.
7:06 PM BBT – Kyle says it’s suspicious that Taylor, Monte and Joseph are all on the same page and now that Kyle is off the table as the veto holder they could target Michael as their big move. Kyle asks Michael if he’s being crazy. Michael says no.
7:08 PM BBT – Michael tells Kyle that he thinks it’s fair to tell Taylor that she won HOH and doesn’t want to touch Jasmine like he won veto and doesn’t want to touch Alyssa.
7:45 PM BBT – Jospeh says Alyssa gas got to go because this is all getting way too complicated for someone not in their alliance. Monte agrees.
7:49 PM BBT – Joseph tells Monte that he was ready to go on the block next to Indy to make sure she went home, so Kyle isn’t doing his part. He says he doesn’t think Kyle has it in him to continue to sending Alyssa home. Joseph says again if someone not in their alliance is causing this much of a ripple they have got to go.
7:50 PM BBT – Terrance tells Joseph that he thinks Kyle is using the veto.
8:13 PM BBT – Kyle tells Brittany he’s not using the veto because his gut is telling him they might take a shot at Michael.
8:18 PM BBT – Kyle tells Terrance he hasn’t talked to Taylor about what she wants to happen, but as of now he’s leaning more toward not using the veto. Kyle says but not to worry, he thinks it’s pretty safe to say if nominations don’t change that Indy will be voted out.
8:22 PM BBT – Kyle says he doesn’t see the point in using the veto if Indy is going either way. Terrance says he won’t be upset as long as he doesn’t get voted out.
8:28 PM BBT – Kyle goes to talk to Taylor. Kyle says that he heard an idea is floating around about Alyssa. He says it has gone from Terrance to Indy to Alyssa. He asks if Taylor can catch him up. Taylor explains why she was first targeting Terrance, and then why she was targeting Indy. She says she will now explain why Alyssa is an idea. Taylor says that she gave Alyssa all these promises and was protecting her in ways that she doesn’t need to be doing (especially since Alyssa isn’t doing the same for her).
8:30 PM BBT – Taylor says she hates saying this part out loud … but at the veto competition, when Alyssa decided to take a trip over the veto, it just wasn’t a good look. Taylor says that made Alyssa look like she thinks her social standing is so good that she doesn’t even have to worry about having the veto in her hand this week. Taylor says they are at a point where she’s shifted from personal reasons of wanting Terrance out, to benefiting the alliance by going after Alyssa. Taylor says that Alyssa is just in a really good spot, and thinks the way she handled the veto competition is a really good reason to target her. Taylor says Alyssa knows that she made a bad decision taking the prize.
8:32 PM BBT – Taylor says that if Alyssa stays any longer, they’ll never have another reason like this to get her out.
8:33 PM BBT – Kyle says he gets it, but what was she planning on doing if Alyssa won veto and and took Indy down since she wasn’t going to put Jasmine up. Kyle asks why Taylor picked Alyssa to play the veto. Taylor says that goes back to Taylor trying to help Alyssa. Taylor says she would have put up Joseph if Alyssa won and saved Indy.
8:35 PM BBT – Kyle says in talking to the alliance, it sounds like Monte and Joseph are indifferent in who goes, and Michael, Brittany and Turner would rather Alyssa stay. Taylor says that’s interesting to hear, because that indicates people are are doing some flip-flopping. Kyle says it’s kind of a red flag if they’ve told Taylor and Kyle two different things.
8:42 PM BBT – Kyle says that when there are four options, it’s hard for him to be the one to use the veto so Alyssa can be backdoored. He says his problem with that is similar to the issue Taylor has with putting up Jasmine. Kyle says morally, that is tough to him.
8:43 PM BBT – Kyle says the issue is that there are other options right now. He says he’s sure if it came down to Jasmine and someone in the alliance, Taylor would send Jasmine home. He says and that’s what he would do if it was Alyssa and someone in the alliance. He says it just doesn’t seem necessary for them to go against morals when there are other options.
8:50 PM BBT – Taylor challenges Kyle on if he’d be willing to nom Alyssa in a few weeks instead of taking advantage of this opportunity. He says he’d rather nom her later because it’d be due to not having other options, which they have now.
9:00 PM BBT – Kyle says Alyssa isn’t a threat. Taylor thinks she is socially. Kyle says she has no strategy though. Joseph and Monte join them in the HOH room.
9:05 PM BBT – Kyle points out Terrance was the sole vote against him last week and he has many reasons to vote out Indy. He feels justified in not using the Veto. Kyle thinks most of the group is fine with him not using it so it should be okay.
9:07 PM BBT – Kyle says Alyssa didn’t go for the Veto because she knew he was still in the comp and would take the Veto down the line anyway.
9:15 PM BBT – Turner points out they’ve already got Indy on the Block and they wouldn’t have to go through that again so maybe take advantage of it now. They see Jasmine coming and talk breaks up.
9:30 PM BBT – HGs discover booze and more in the Storage room.
9:35 PM BBT – Talks pick back up in the HOH room. Michael and Brittany tell Taylor they’re okay with Indy going and Kyle not using the Veto. Monte says he’s okay with it too.
9:45 PM BBT – Taylor says she’ll relent and give in on her evict-Alyssa plan. She hopes they don’t regret this later.
10:25 PM BBT – Indy breaks up the HOH group so she can talk to Taylor. Indy tells her Kyle seems afraid to use the Veto. Taylor says her whole plan will be ruined if Kyle doesn’t use the Veto and she really needs him to do that.
10:30 PM BBT – Indy has Jasmine join her in the HOH room. Jasmine is surprised to hear that Kyle is nervous about Alyssa getting renom’d if he uses the Veto. Taylor blames Monte for convincing Kyle to be worried and it was just Monte trying to save himself.
10:35 PM BBT – Taylor assures Indy and Jasmine that she would never be so petty as to renom/target Alyssa because she took her London trip.
10:40 PM BBT – Alyssa came back upstairs. Taylor tells Alyssa that Monte was the bigger target she had planned but doesn’t want that to spread around. Alyssa apologizes to Taylor for taking her trip prize.
10:45 PM BBT – Indy asks Taylor to promise her she’ll be safe on Thursday.
11:00 PM BBT – Kyle and Joseph debating the Alyssa renom plan. Joseph says having Indy and Alyssa on the Block would make those three (with Jasmine) show their cards. Kyle says there’s just the three of them so what cards to show?
11:20 PM BBT – HOH group discusses if Indy will really try to leave Jury like she said. Joseph thinks she’d stay.
12:00 AM BBT – Kyle, Joseph, and Monte discuss targeting Jasmine. They agree Jasmine should go next week because if Taylor wins HOH again she still won’t target Jasmine because of the representation concern.
12:15 AM BBT – Taylor tells Brittany and Michael that she keeps contemplating nominating Jasmine but goes back to what she said all during her casting process, that she would not nominate another Black woman.
12:35 AM BBT – Brittany says that Taylor just wants to try and make “good TV” with her HOH. Kyle and Michael agree that their DE noms would be Jasmine and Terrance. Michael thinks the Alyssa target for Taylor is just about revenge but they should be looking at the bigger game.
12:45 AM BBT – LOs gathering in the kitchen to make a late night meal.
1:30 AM BBT – HGs hanging out and discussing what comps are left that they haven’t faced yet.
2:10 AM BBT – Brittany wonders if the girls will be mad that Indy goes to Jury. Kyle says Alyssa won’t but maybe Jasmine will. Kyle doesn’t think Terrance will care either.
3:00 AM BBT – Turner is camtalking about apologizing for upsetting Jasmine when he said not to release the balloon. He thinks he smoothed it over with Joseph’s help.
3:30 AM BBT – Joseph points out that Indy will be evicted in her costume. Kyle doesn’t like that Indy said she’d quit Jury when so many people want to be part of this.
5:00 AM BBT – Taylor, Turner, and Joseph are still up and around the house.
Well that was a fun Sunday! The Leftovers are struggling a bit here but looks like they’ll keep it together for the week. Taylor was putting Kyle in a tough spot with the Veto but they both had promises to keep. No way Kyle is going to use the Veto on Monday. Noms should hold as they are and Indy will head out front to meet Julie in her punk unitard costume.
