Big Brother 23 Live Feeds Week 5: Friday Daytime Highlights

It is Nomination Day inside the Big Brother 23 house and it’s been a busy day so far for this week’s Head of Household. The HOH seems to have a goal in mind for Week 5 of Big Brother but is struggling to figure out how to make it happen. Read on to find out what happened during Derek X’s one-on-ones and which way he might be leaning.

Big Brother 23 Live Feed Highlights – Friday, August 6, 2021:

8:50 AM BBT – HGs are waking up.

8:53 AM BBT – Hannah tells Tiffany that she walked into the bathroom while the Kings were talking and heard them say that at least one of them will be on the block. She wonders that if they are working with DX, why are they so paranoid? Claire walks in.

9:00 AM BBT – Hannah tells Claire that she thinks that if Alyssa won, she thinks she would have targeted the Jokers because she has played a really low profile game and she’s in a showmance. Unless SB got in her ear then she probably would have targeted her (H).

9:35 AM BBT – DX is starting his one-on-ones with Claire as a test run since she is the only one he can’t nominate. He wants her feedback at the end. Meanwhile, Christian and Alyssa are going over what they are going to say during their one-on-ones.

9:37 AM BBT – DX asks Claire who she thinks is the biggest threat to her personal game. She says that she thinks Christian is the biggest threat because he would want to weaken DX by taking out someone close to him. She also says that she is worried about Xavier because she doesn’t talk to him much.

9:47 AM BBT – DX asks Claire who she doesn’t want to see nominated and she says Tiffany, Kyland, Hannah, and Azah. He asks her if she has ever said his name or heard someone say his name in the house. She says no she hasn’t said it, but she has heard other people. She tells him that SB sees him as a big threat and she doesn’t know when the rest of the Kings plan to make a move.

10:20 AM BBT – DX asks Kyland if there is anyone he wants to keep safe this week and he says that Hannah would be first because they have a great relationship with her and she’s smart. He also tells him he would like to keep SB safe too because he feels like she is willing to talk to him and tell him how she really feels about things.

10:35 AM BBT – DX asks Kyland what he would do if he won HOH and he says he would put two Jokers up and then if the Veto was used put up Christian. Says that there is a good chance that anyone other than Christian and Alyssa would be willing to use the Veto to make that happen.

10:40 AM BBT – DX tells Kyland that his biggest fear is that if he takes out Christian this week that Xavier and Kyland would take him out the next chance they get. Kyland doesn’t see how that would happen and it honestly never crossed his mind as a possibility. DX thinks that Xavier is going to scramble, but Kyland doesn’t think that Xavier will scramble like that.

10:57 AM BBT – Alyssa tells DX that she hopes that he knows that if he fell and she won, Hannah would not have hit the block. He then tells her that any deals he made on the wall are rock solid so her and Xavier will not see the block. DX asks her who she is most threatened by and she tells him Azah because she told Christian that she would target him and they don’t talk game.

11:00 AM BBT – DX asks if there is anyone she would want to keep safe this week and she says Christian, Xavier, and Hannah. He asks if she has said or heard his name and she admits to saying it week 1 but doesn’t feel the same now and she heard DF mention his name and Claire’s name week 3.

11:05 AM BBT – DX asks who Alyssa would put up if she was HOH and Alyssa slips and says Hannah and DF, but then quickly backtracks and says she didn’t mean that, she meant Britini and Azah. She asks for clarification on whether the deals on the wall meant just her and Xavier or if Xavier asked for all the Kings. He says he only asked for himself.

11:18 AM BBT – DX asks Christian who he is most threatened by in Royal Flush and he says Kyland because he has a lot of people on his side and a great memory. Overall he feels most threatened by Azah.

11:35 AM BBT – Christian and Alyssa are comparing notes on their talks with DX. She tells him that DX clarified his deal on the wall was just for Alyssa and Xavier. She also tells him that DX didn’t want to tell her if he was sticking with the 8 or not. Christian is nervous.

11:38 AM BBT – DX asks SB who she feels most threatened by and she says that she feels really good with the RF, so anyone outside of the alliance. He asks her what about inside the RF and she says that she feels really good with everyone because she doesn’t see anyone going after her.

11:45 AM BBT – DX asks SB if she would be willing to work with him moving forward and she tells him that she feels like she is in a good position to help him. She says that she is a great spot with the Queens and Kings, but they are all closer to each other than they are with her. She thinks that it’s in her best interest to work with him over one of the other (Queens and Kings).

11:48 AM BBT – DX asks SB who she would go after if she won HOH and she says the Jokers.

11:54 AM BBT – SB tells DX that she really likes the idea of her, DX, and Kyland working together because they are one from each team. She mentions how Claire and Tiffany are close, Alyssa and Christian are really close, so the three of them would work great together. SB tells him that she knows the least about in the house are Claire, Tiffany, and Xavier because they talk to her the least.

12:04 PM BBT – Christian tells Alyssa that he isn’t feeling too good. She tells him that if DX is coming for him then he isn’t going to put him up today. He says “great, that’s even worse” (sarcastically). He says if DX comes after him then he’s (C) is a moron because he could have targeted him last week.

12:20 PM BBT – Kyland tells DF and Britini that if DX is smart, he won’t tell anyone who his pawns or targets are. He adds that nothing matters until after the POV anyways.

12:39 PM BBT – Xavier asks if DX’s deal was to all the Kings or just him and Alyssa. He says he told Alyssa it was just for the two of them. Adds that he doesn’t even know who he’s nominating. Xavier says that he would like to keep his team safe first, then Kyland, Tiffany, and Claire last.

12:43 PM BBT – Britini tells Christian that if he isn’t on the block and she gets picked to play in the POV and wins it, she will not use it. She’s not going to risk him going up.

12:47 PM BBT – DX asks Xavier that if there is a shot to be taken at the Kings, who would he feel most comfortable with going. Xavier says that he thinks it would be best for them both to keep Christian around, which leaves only one person on his team and he thinks that sucks too because she’s (SB) pretty awesome and she’s close to Kyland.

12:50 PM BBT – Xavier tells DX that if he was HOH he would take a shot at the only person who has a reason to take a shot at him (Britini).

1:03 PM BBT – Xavier and Alyssa are comparing notes on their conversations with DX. He tells her that if DX targets the Kings, it will be Christian or SB and he told DX that if he takes a shot at the Kings that he thinks keeping Christian around is best for both their games.

1:05 PM BBT – Britini tells DX that Alyssa is a threat to her game because of her social game and she proved yesterday that she could be a comp threat.

1:13 PM BBT – Britini tells DX that she would rather not be on the block as a pawn, but she understand that he has to do what’s best for his game. She also tells him that if she won HOH, she would have gone after the former Kings members.

1:25 PM BBT – Azah tells DX that her biggest phyical threat would be Alyssa and she would want to keep Britini and DF safe.

1:30 PM BBT – Azah tells DX that she trusts him and the process, but she would rather not go up as a pawn. He asks if there is any scenario where she would rather put her up as a pawn over someone else. She says no, not at this point in the game.

1:37 PM BBT – DX tells Azah that he will make a deal with her that for two weeks she won’t touch the block and for four weeks she won’t go home, but he can’t say she won’t go up. They hug to seal the deal.

1:40 PM BBT – DX camtalks that this is perfect because with his deal with Azah that he won’t get backlash for putting Britini and DF up.

1:43 PM BBT – DF tells DX that this is an individual game now and if he doesn’t take a shot that’s needed, it’s going to come back and bite him, DX asks him who he thinks would take a shot at him? DF says anyone on the Kings.

1:45 PM BBT – DX asks if DF would be a pawn and DF asks him if he is comfortable with DF being a pawn. DX tells him that he wouldn’t go home. DF is worried that because he has a great social game that someone would try and pull some “he said, she said” stuff and put a target on him while he’s there.

1:53 PM BBT – DX tells DF that he is telling him more than anyone else. He doesn’t want to put DF up as a pawn, but he is trying to figure out an option that doesn’t hurt his game. DF says that if he doesn’t think he will go home and DX cuts him off and tells him that he wouldn’t even see Thursday night on the block. He would win the POV and use it on him.

1:58 PM BBT – DX asks DF if he would be willing to make a deal with DX in exchange for not putting him up as a pawn. DX tells him that after this week, he is going to have a huge target on his back and he’s going to need votes to stay. At the very least will he have DF’s vote and he says absolutely.

2:04 PM BBT – DF tells DX that he will fight for DX to stay if it comes down to it. He tells DX that his best bet is to put up a girl pawn and if his target is a girl to put her up next to the girl pawn. However, if his target is a guy, then backdooring him and putting two female pawns up is probably a good route to go.

2:10 PM BBT – DF tells DX that there was a rumor that DF was going to target him and Whitney, but he had no intentions of doing that. He was targeting two girls.

2:25 PM BBT – DX is telling Hannah about his meetings with people, but very vaguely.

2:30 PM BBT – DX tells Hannah that if he puts SB on the block, she could come down and end up closer to Kyland. Hannah wonders if it might cause a rift because Kyland didn’t do anything to prevent it. DX says probably not because he doesn’t know she’s an option and she would believe that he didn’t know.

2:35 PM BBT – DX says that he is strongly leaning towards Britini being a pawn. Hannah asks him who he felt lied to him less out of DF and SB and he tells her DF 1000%. She reminds him that the Kings would likely target him if they won, where DF wouldn’t be as likely to target him.

2:37 PM BBT – DX says that if he puts Britini and DF up and noms stay the same, he wastes his HOH on getting Britini out. However, if he puts Britini and SB up and his plan works, SB will likely come after him where DF would be chill about it.

2:45 PM BBT – DX tells Hannah that he is pretty sure he knows what he’s going to do this week. He’s going to just sit and solidify his thoughts for a bit. She asks him what she can do for him this week and he tells her to win the Veto. Hannah thinks that she can get Britini to pick her to play in the Veto. He thinks that the comp win should go to Kyland though to build another guy threat in the house.

2:50 PM BBT – DX is recaping his one-on-ones alone in the HOH room.

3:00 PM BBT – DX asks Britini if he can talk to her again and they go up to the HOH. He asks her who she, as a pawn, would feel most comfortable sitting next to. She says that her biggest fear is that since she has been up so many times that they would just vote her out. She says that she would feel most comfortable next to any of the Kings because everyone wants one of them out, but would prefer not to be a pawn.

Derek X really does want to backdoor Christian but is having a hard time choosing which HGs to put up as pawns. Based on his talk with Hannah after his one-on-ones, it sounds like DX is leaning more towards putting Britini up with DF as pawns because there will be less backlash for it.
