Big Brother 21 Premiere Part 2: Campers Move In, One Moves Out

Julie Chen hosts Big Brother

Big Brother 21 is back and here come the campers, our 16 new Houseguests for the summer, but they won’t all be here for long as one of them is about to get the boot and we’ll see if the rumors are true!

All of tonight’s episode’s events were taped last week so we’re just playing catch up now and there’s a lot we need to find out. We last saw Jackson winning the Camp Director vote and next up will be who he decides to “banish” because that’s something that happens at camp, right?? No wait, no it doesn’t.

Anyway, those four banished HGs will battle it out in the crazy Black Box comp and the loser will be heading home, or at least to sequester while CBS considers a returning twist. If we see the eliminated guest doing interviews tomorrow than there’s no sequester for that HG!

Lots to pick up and cover tonight when the episode kicks off at 8PM ET and we’ll be covering it all here on this post live throughout the not-live episode.

Julie Chen returns to the screen and informs Jackson he’ll need to go up and nominate 4 HGs for “banishment”. Jackson heads to the Old Paris room and makes his picks.

Camp Director Jackson’s Banished HGs:

  • Cliff
  • Kemi
  • Jessica
  • David

Banished HGs wander the Black Box comp for Camp BB to find their way back into the house. Last of the four will be eliminated.

Camp BB Black Box Returnees:

  1. Cliff
  2. Kemi
  3. Jessica

Julie informs David that he can stop searching for the way out as he has been eliminated from the Big Brother house… “for now.” Hmm, yep that sounds like David is heading to sequester, right?

HOH Comp:

Jackson has one more bit of power. He’ll be naming the pairs for this first HOH comp where HGs will be hanging onto logs. Pairs are set and the logs lift into the air. Last HG hanging wins!

Competition comes down to Christie and Tommy… Tommy drops! Christie is the first HOH of the season, just like we told you last week!

At the end of the show Julie Chen revealed David is out but not gone just yet. He’ll be back for something of “never done before” thingie next Wednesday. But first, before that we’ll get a new comp twist on Sunday’s called “Whacktivity Comp” and we’ve got not clue on what that means. Well, I guess a regular old school Big Brother won’t be showing up this season. It’ll be silly themes and twists the whole way along, right?
