Big Brother 15 Schedule Changes To Thursdays

Big Brother 15 Premiere

After just its second week CBS is shifting the Big Brother 15 schedule back to its more familiar place on Thursday nights starting July 11th.

In a move to shuffle “Person of Interest” to a new night earlier in the week, CBS is making room for the series by moving BB15’s Tuesday spot to Thursday next week while holding on to its Sunday and Wednesday 8PM slots.

That means the live eviction shows will now air Thursday nights at 9/8c on CBS with nomination shows on Sunday at 8/7c and Veto results airing Wednesdays 8/7c.

Just when we were getting used to the new, earlier eviction schedule they go bounce us around the calendar! What do you think of this move? Too bad we didn’t get to keep Tuesdays and give up Wednesdays (my dream schedule for BB to give time for more post-show discussion days), but this isn’t too shabby either.

Thanks to @BB15newsupdates and reader Jason for the news tip.

  1. I personally enjoyed the Sunday Tuesday Thursday Schedule Better, but I guess last season’s schedule is okay too

    • I wonder if it is because Big Brother will air against America’s Got Talent on NBC which is also pulling high ratings for the summer. To avoid the competition, it makes sense to move it away.

      • I would have love to see a battle of reality giants: BB versus AGT a.k.a. Endemol versus Fremantle. :))

  2. This is really absolutely not good news for my sake because the original day/time slot for the live eviction show worked out perfectly for me because there was nothing else competing with it that I absolutely wanted to watch. With this move that CBS has made now, though, it means that I can’t watch the show “live” anymore because it’s competing with Motive on ABC which the other person living with me & I like to watch and they don’t like Big Brother at all. So now, since I don’t have a DVR, I have to wait till the next morning to try & pretend to watch the episode “live.” I mean, I guess it’s fine that CBS moved the show to a different day, but why put it at 9/8c? Why not just keep it at 8/7c when there’s nothing else on for me to watch? That would’ve made things a whole lot simpler for me.
So, does anyone have any idea why CBS decided to make this change, and can some one help me figure out how I can avoid spoilers until after I watch the eviction episode, despite my having the Live Feeds and e-mails coming to my inbox from BBN?

  3. I too am disappointed with the move. I could watch on nights I don’t work (I tape it just in case something happens.) Looks like an extra day this week to stew for eviction.
