Big Brother 11 House Confirmed Details – Updated x2

The “Media Day” embargo has been lifted on Big Brother 11 and so today should be an exciting run of BB11 news and confirmed details, unlike those pesky rumors we keep hearing.

Our first round of news comes from WLBB who had a representative at “Media Day” and was able to provide a lot of confirmations on what was true and what was not regarding the Big Brother house:

When we first entered the house, I noticed that the one big wall on the side had been changed. It had tons of plants and all the walls had been changed to different colors of plywood. It looked really cool. The interior decorating looked really nice. When I turned to my left, I noticed the kitchen had an oriental theme with Buddha statues and Chinese heirlooms.

The bathroom had its normal setup with no major changes, other than the walls looking industrial. As far as online rumors go, there were no urinals on the wall! The shower door was clear with a little portion of foggy glass so you can’t see the midriff of anyone… There was another online rumor that the sinks were had motion sensors. Jen [BB8] actually thought this was the case and waved her hands under the sink, but no water came out. Then she figured out she had to turn on the handle!

The living room still had a similar setup with two couches that were a shade of purple. There were two green nominee chairs that faced the monitor where Julie Chen talks to the houseguests. The walls were different shades of plywood. I know “plywood” doesn’t sound really nice, but it did look really cool.

WLBB has an awesome story with lots more details on the house and “Media Day” that’s worth reading.

So it sounds like the motion sensor rumor on the showers and sinks was false, along with the clear shower doors. That seemed hard to believe, but then again Julie Chen does have that saying about expecting something or something unexpected. Hmm, it’s repeated so rarely on BB that I just can’t remember!

I’ll continue to update the site with more details and any videos that become available today and through the week as we prepare for next week’s big premiere. Grab the Big Brother Toolbar and find out when more news arrives.

Be sure to lock-in your preseason discount on the live feeds now before it expires when the season begins. The 3-month plan for $30 will get you through the whole season starting now and save you big over the $15/month cost later.

Update: Wow! The BB11 House looks awesome! BSideBlog was part of the press members who spent a day in the new layout and he brought back some fantastic pictures with him. You can see a few of them below (click to enlarge) and then read his story and see more pics at his site.

Update 2: Here is the video footage of “Media Day” in the Big Brother 11 House. The house looks just as awesome in action as it did in the photos. It’s so strange to watch this group of temporary HGs while knowing the next time we see the house on the live feeds it’ll be a whole different crew. This really gets my Big Brother blood flowing again though!

  1. Damn, i was really looking forward to the see-through showers, lol. Also the fiber-optic walls sounded cool, but again doesn;t sound true. And the biggest dissapointment for me is the forest themed kitchen seems to be false as well :(. The house sounds no where near as exciting as it did before!

  2. Haha, agreed it’s not as exciting, but it does look pretty awesome all the same. It looks like those rumors sent to BBDish on the house were fictitious, but that’s all part of the BB preseason fun I suppose.

From the pictures just added I think the HoH room with the wall of fake windows is the best design they’ve ever had.

  3. I think the pool room looks great too. As a former swimmer I’d probably go for that room except that they don’t seem to get blankets, just foamy rafts! Not good.

  4. I think the house looks amazing, just a tip to all of you, watch a couple of episodes from season 1 or 2 and compare the look of the house to now, its funny how modern and contemporary the house has become it doesn’t really feel like THAT many years have gone by.

  5. I think they are running out of idea’s. Having people vote or make suggestions would be good. That way all of us viewers would have something to say about it. I really had to look at the pool room. I wonder if they are aloud to take the mattresses to the pool?

  6. There maybe 14 places on the memory wall, But there is only 13 places at the table!

  7. 8.Debbie: That may mean, that 14 houseguests will enter the house, but someone will leave before the first nominations, what could be interesting.. But who knows.. ;)

  8. REmember tho, 14 places on the memory wall, but the middle one always says “big Brother” which means there is probably 13 houseguets

  9. UHGGGG I WAS HOPING FOR ED…the house looks great,i think someone is homophobic..that chick should be up there no class.her face should have been in the pie.

  10. They would never put in a previous winner, at least i doubt they would. However, i do hope the mystery houseguest is Keesha, Renny, or Sheila
