Julie Chen had been teasing viewers and the HGs with the news that just because they’re out of the house doesn’t meant they’re out of the game. Now we know when that chance will happen after we received just a bit more information last night.
Closing out the show, Julie ran through a series of upcoming events and addressed this twist:
“We give the first four Jurors a chance to return to the game. Either Jocasta, Hayden, Nicole, or the Houseguest evicted next week… It all happens live, next Thursday.”
Just like last season, four HGs from the Jury will be up for the chance to return to Big Brother 16. I’d expect there to finally, finally be an endurance competition to settle the decision on who comes back. We haven’t had any all season long aside from the season opener and it’s about time!
So who will join the first three Jurors? Donny is the current top target for the week so if he’s in an endurance against Nicole or Hayden that could be tough for him. Anything is possible, but I’m not sure Jocasta could out-compete those two either.
Last season Judd survived two weeks before getting the boot and I imagine whoever comes back will face a difficult situation as well. The guys alliance dominates the house and unless there’s a major fracture in their loyalty the returning HG is likely to enter through a revolving door.
Who do you want to see back in the game with this twist? Jocasta, Hayden, Nicole, or the next evicted HG? Vote in our poll below and share your thoughts!
Nicole Franzel became the latest evictee from the Big Brother 16 house on Thursday when her fellow HGs sent her packing in a 6-0 vote. Now on her way to the Jury House Nicole will have one more shot to get back in the game.
Today I had the chance to put a few questions to Nicole about her time in the house as a superfan, what she thought of some of her moves, and who she would target if she won that chance to re-enter the Big Brother game this season.
Matthew Boyer – Big Brother Network (BBN): As a superfan, what were you most excited to experience as a Big Brother Houseguest?
Nicole Franzel: I looked forward to the classic Big Brother competitions and walking out of the diary room to say “who wants to see our HOH room!”
BBN: You briefly seemed to give in to eviction, but then came roaring back to fight it. Were there any other strategies you wanted to try these past few days, but couldn’t?
Nicole: I wasn’t willing to make up lies but I feel that I had a lot of information I could use if I wanted to but I didn’t want to blow up everybody’s game. I just didn’t see that it would really work.
BBN: Did you truly reconcile with Christine, or was that a move just to keep her close to you?
It didn’t take long after last night’s show for the new HoH’s, Derrick and Frankie, to start working on their plan to get Donny out the door and off to Jury. Of course I don’t think many of us saw the decisions coming down to drawing Skittles out of a hat, but that’s what they did last night.

Big Brother 16 Week 8 Nominations:
The final Battle of the Block arrives today on Big Brother 16 as four Houseguests will face off one last time for a week of complete safety. Get ready to say farewell to the BB16 twist.
During Thursday night’s live eviction show, host Julie Chen revealed that just one Battle remained as the season’s twist would come to an end with the crowning of Derrick and Frankie as the latest Heads of Household. Their pairs of nominees will battle it out on Friday afternoon and then we’ll say goodbye to this game changer. It’s almost as if production couldn’t let go until they finally saw an HoH go from the top power to a nominee and, in this case, an evictee.
I know a lot of fans have not liked the BotB twist, but I’ve actually enjoyed having it around and am glad it gave us so much to talk about. In past seasons we’ve spent Friday’s going through the boring routine of “the King (or Queen) will see you now” as HGs drone on with flimsy deals and offers before we finally get the nominations late in to the evening.
It took 8 weeks, but Big Brother finally got the results they were hoping for when they announced someone who won HoH could also go home the same week. Sadly for us it was Nicole who was so sweet & genuine, but in this game, those are not always great qualities. So now she is off to the Jury house for a week & will be able to compete to get back into the house along with Jocasta, Hayden, and whoever is evicted next.
For the 4th time in Big Brother 16 Frankie won HoH and he is paired with Derrick who won for the 2nd time this year. With only 8 people left, half the house will be on the block tomorrow – the question at hand is who will be going up. Derrick promised his little safety net Victoria she was 100% safe. But depending on how this week plays out – she can always end up going up &/or go home.
Derrick & Frankie promised not to back door each other (how did that work out for Nicole & Christine last week???) and I think they are serious about that as they are part of Team America. There is still money to be made, but they also need to keep Donny around for it to work. This will be a problem since Donny is Public Enemy #1 for everyone else in the Detonators+1.
Derrick promised the live feeders there would be fireworks once the HoH reveal was over – and they would all get together to discuss how to go about the nominations this week. Before hand, Derrick & Frankie came up with a plan (well, Derrick did) where they would try to make sure Derrick remained HoH this week – since they think next week will be endurance – and Frankie would have a better shot at winning that. This puts Derrick in a tough spot as he will be vulnerable.
After weeks of Team America missions seemingly tailored to ruin Zach Rance’s game to put cash in the alliance’s pockets things are taking a turn for the silly with TA’s latest mission vote now open.
Maybe it was the series of failed attempts by Derrick, Donny, and Frankie, but this week’s vote for Team America offers up some much less damaging games to be played in the house.
Mission A: Create a distraction by hiding a favorite piece of clothing from each Houseguest then organize a neighborhood watch program to keep it from happening again.
Mission B: Weaken another player’s game by keeping them awake for 24 hours straight.
The first option is way easier and just requires them to snag five items from around the house without anyone noticing. From there they get people to say they’ll watch for the thievery and *bam!* that’s $5K for each of them.
