Team America has wrapped up its first task. Mission Accomplished. Early today the final rumor-spreads took place and that puts $5,000 in the pockets of America’s alliance. But the members didn’t stop there. They decided to tie up the loose ends.
The other night Donny’s target, Nicole, spread the rumor to Christine. 1 point. This morning Derrick’s target, Caleb, told Amber. 2 points. Finally Derrick’s other target, Victoria, relayed her message to Brittany. 3 points and they’re done. And yes, Frankie didn’t spread the rumor to anyone, though it was apparently part of their plan to rotate the responsibilities.
At this point the guys could have just walked away and let the rumor run its course. Instead they did the opposite.
Flashback to 2:15PM BBT Cams 1/2 to find Zach arriving in the HoH room to talk with Derrick and Donny. Now both of those guys already know the rumor about Zach being related to Amanda is not true, but they can’t say that. To cover up their first lie, Derrick reveals another lie: Paola told Donny on her way out the door last week about this supposed relation.
Zach pauses and says “how did she know?!” before admitting it wasn’t true. He isn’t upset at all and actually thinks it’s funny. They banter on awhile trying to decide what to do with this rumor. Zach considers spreading it more and embracing it while Derrick and Donny suggest it wouldn’t hurt him. Uh uh, Zach, don’t do anything crazy!
Later all the house is joking about it calling him Zach Zuckerman. No one seems bothered and terribly concerned, but we’ll have to watch and see if it creeps back in to the storyline later and causes Zach any trouble down the road.
What do you think of the way this Team America twist played out? Was it a good mission or should America’s alliance try something besides spreading rumors?
Zach’s got Nicole good and confused about whether he is or he isn’t. CBS should have a real nice edit of her trying to figure it out…
wouldn’t hurt him? If there was a rumor I was related to that crazy bitch I would go nuts.
He took it way better than I expected too. There’s not way I’d want anyone thinking I was related to any past HGs.
Yeah but he handled it the right way. I’d have shrugged it off like “who cares?” In hopes it’d go nowhere, especially given this seasons recruits.
I was watching Derrick starting the rumor to Caleb. HE told Caleb to go to Amber and discuss the rumor. Doe anyone else think this was the not the correct way to accomplish the mission? hopefully next mission will be harder and i feel all 3 need to be part of it.
Do they get 5k each or split it 3 ways?
I believe they each get 5,000. Frankie did nothing and making 5 grand Su…!
Yep. Each get $5K.
Well this one was easy.
Now get them making real missions, like getting all the bikinis of the girls and make it then go missing for a day without been caught or getting revealed.
Wasn’t it Frankie that came up with the idea to spread the Zack/Amanda rumor? Then he didn’t do anything. So first he threatens Zack’s game and then sits back and lets the others do the damage. But he LOVES Zach! Not feeling the love for Frankie.
I think you’re right that this rumor was Frankie’s idea. He’s sure seems to be slowly sinking Zach’s game.
First night (I believe), when Zach mentioned he knew all about those kids that went to (whatever high school frankie went to).
I don’t think Frankie has wanted him around ever since then, lol. Maybe Frankie takes it literally with the old saying, keep your friends close, keep your enemies closer.
frankie is the smart one. No blood on his hands . had them do dirty work…pocketed money. Brilliant. It is a game people forget
Donny almost laid it on too thick. I know 1 thing if I was Derricks wife I would yank a knot on Victoria’s head at finale night. She’s been hanging way too much in way too little clothes around him.
