Makensy Manbeck has become the comp beast of the Big Brother 26 season and she may need to keep that title in hand if she plans to get to the F2 on finale night, Sunday, October 13th at 9/8c on CBS. After taking a look at her ally Chelsie’s latest comments it sounds like Makensy could be in trouble here if she doesn’t win her way to the end. Question is, does that Big Brother sword cut both ways?
We all know how things went for Cody and Derrick on Big Brother 16. Cody won the third and final round over Derrick before deciding to evict Victoria and take his fellow Hitman to the F2. That decision cost him the win as the Jury went 7-2 for Derrick over Cody. If Cody had taken Victoria it would have been a landslide 9-0 in his favor. Fortunately for Cody he redeemed himself in a later season, but all the same it was a tough decision to watch play out. It could be set to happen again.
Chelsie took Round 1 on Thursday and Makensy defeated Cam in Round 2 on Friday. Now they’ll face off live on Sunday with the winner of Round 3 electing who goes to join the Jury and who stands by her side for the vote. Makensy seems intent on taking Chelsie to the F2 and I think it could cost her.
We heard from the Jury in Thursday’s segment that many of them acknowledged Chelsie’s control and dominance over the house. But to be fair, they also gave credit to Makensy for her comp domination, as they should. But are comp wins enough to draw at least four of those seven Jury votes? I’m not as confident as Makensy may be.
Makensy seems truly set on standing by Chelsie. We already saw her evict Leah to the wishes of Chelsie in a situation that made little sense. If she’s given the choice again I really expect her to again protect Chelsie and sacrifice an easy, easy win situation with Cam at F2.
Makensy has stated she wants it to be an all-women ending to the season and might even be “okay” with a loss to Chelsie, but I think it’s a lot of fluff in her head right now with emotions and naivety overriding good common sense. Plainly said, Makensy is gullible as can be. And I think Chelsie has it in the bag here.
If Makensy wins R3 then I do think she’ll take Chelsie to F2 while evicting Cam. And as I noted earlier, I don’t think that favor will be returned. Chelsie prioritizes herself, as she should, while Makensy wants to honor a promise. Yikes.
Sure, maybe Makensy will surprise me, but I doubt it. And honestly, I expect Chelsie to win R3 so this may all be moot. Will we get Chelsie cutting Makensy at F3 to secure an easy win or will we get Makensy cutting Cam to likely hand Chelsie the win? Either way, I guess I think Makensy has already lost Big Brother 26 and it happened weeks ago.
