More Big Brother ahead! It’s time for the second half of the two-night season premiere of BB26 and we’re back to share it with you during our live coverage and recap of all the action. Half the HGs are settled in and here comes round two with eight more. They’ll face off against Ainsley with the same trick question and then the group will be split up for the Upgrade/Downgrade competitions. Get ready!
Our live coverage starts here at 9PM ET and if you’re really ready to spend the evening with us then you’ll stick around for the launch of Live Feeds tonight after 10PM PT (1AM ET). Important scheduling note on that as CBS sent around an update mentioning the west coast broadcast may be delayed tonight which I am guessing will also delay the Feeds. Blerg.
Also in those scheduling notes from CBS was two more important items: Friday night at 8/7c CBS will air encores of the two premiere episodes back to back for a two-hour event. Then on Sunday, July 21st, CBS has expanded the one-hour show to 90 minutes and promises “there will be a big change to the nominations and evictions.” Okay, they better not let us down on that one but so far I haven’t a clue what they’re hinting at here.
“But First,” we need ourselves some Houseguests! It’s time to meet the other eight players this season and if you saw last night’s show then this whole next hour is going to be pretty familiar. Yes, they’re just repeating the whole thing. Yes, even the AI “HG” that asks the loaded question of inviting her into the season or not. While they give her a pass this time? Doesn’t matter! They get the two comps either way.
So we’ll get new Houseguests and find out who joins Makensy and Chelsie with the Upgrade/Downgrade power/punishments. Stick with us here as we live recap it all!
Time to meet the second round of Houseguests. First up is Quinn! He’s a superfan and can’t wait. Next we’ve got Brooklyn, a former pageant queen with a big family back home. Now it’s time for Matt, an account exec for a software company who loves the outdoors. Leah promises us she’s not that typical dumb blonde because she owns her own underwear company and prefers her men with a little chub to them.
Now here’s former Marine, Cedric, who was raised by his grandmother and he’s hoping to return all those favors with a BB win. T’kor explains she has lived in Europe and America so she’s developed an interesting accent, ohh, and she was the captain of the debate team so let’s see what she can talk her way out of! Kenney is a former undercover drug enforcement cop who was turned on to Big Brother through his now wife. Enough of that, it’s time for the house!
Group 1: Quinn, T’kor, Matt, and Leah. And there they go on into the house.
Group 2: Cedric, Brooklyn, Kenney, and Lisa. That’s everyone now.
Vote In AINSLEY? Yes/No
Just like last night, we get to hear from AINSLEY as she pleads with tonight’s HGs to decide if they’ll let her join the game. Of course we know she’s a fake, but they don’t know for sure. We do hear from Matt though that he doesn’t believe she works at a surf shop while she’s wearing a futuristic foil outfit. So how did they vote? Sounds like we’re going to get more No’s this time.
Nope! Here is the break down on votes. Yes: Leah & Quinn. No: Brooklyn, Cedric, Kenny, Matt, Lisa, & T’Kor.
Upgrade comp: move chips from one side of the swinging box to the other. Downgrade comp: move discs without using your hands.
Lots of struggles in that challenge to move the discs along with just their face. The “Yes” comp looked way easier than last night’s spinner. That’s all done though and now ti’s time for the HG groups to merge and find out who won/lost what.
Upgrade/Downgrade winner/loser:
Upgrade: Makensy and Quinn
Downgrade: Chelsie and Cedric
Ohh, this is rough. The downgrades can not compete for HOH or Veto but they can be nominated and evicted. Ouch! Meanwhile the Upgrades will lead to one of those getting the Deepfake HOH and the other receiving America’s Veto. No more details given on that just yet so we’ll have to watch Sunday’s episode for more info.
Don’t forget the Feeds start tonight! Get Paramount+ and be ready to watch along with us in the wee hours of the night. Hopefully we’ll find out a few surprises and spoilers
