As Big Brother 26 Week 5 comes to a close, it’s time to look back on the week and grade our chaotic houseguests. Last week I had an epiphany that I had been ranking the players too low and they’re playing better than I thought. That was just a moment of madness on my part. Because I’m back to thinking they’re not playing very well at all. They’re quite entertaining, but great Big Brother players they are not.
So expect the rankings this week to look A LOT different. This has been such a hard season to rank. The players have been all over the place. One day someone will do something smart, the next they’ll do something really silly. They’re all over the place, and so have these rankings.
So let’s do it, using my traditional grading scale.
Tucker: 95/100. I have been grading Tucker low because he hasn’t been much of a strategizer, is a huge target and now is in a showmance. All those things look terrible on paper. But he’s a competition beast and this week, his game has actually been really impressive. He won the wall HOH competition, and targeted the people he should have – the most power players who want him to of the house. Of course his own alliance could be messing up his plans as T’Kor and Kimo want to keep the people who put them on the bottom of their old alliance, but what Tucker is trying to do is good for his game. Saving Quinn wasn’t a bad move either, if it would actually buy him some safety. But did it? Not sure yet. But still a bold move. So this week I am giving Tucker his due and putting him at the head of the class. He earned it, I believe. Last week: 77
Angela: 90/100. And if Tucker is making the grade this week, then so is Angela. I’ve had her in last place for weeks. But this woman went from TARGET to PAWN to “She can stay.” Literally everyone is like, of she’s fine now. She can hang out a bit. And she has two HOH wins under her belt. She still have her moments of wackiness, but she has been keeping it mostly to herself. And she’s finally in some alliances and is getting tighter with Tucker. I know if I was in that house, I’d want to be tight with Tucker. That’s the smart move currently. Welcome to the top of the class, Angela! Last week: 70
Leah: 88/100. I have thought Leah was playing a terrible game for weeks now. But she’s actually just being a classic floater. Well, not even really a classic floater, because she’s not really going to where the power is, but she has been catering to each HOH by not being a problem. And she’s starting to grow on people, and they’re ready to start pulling her in. Last week: 72
Chelsie: 88/100. Chelsie might be on the block currently, but I’m still impressed by her. She has managed being a nominee so well. It’s been as smooth as her week 2 HOH. And that is just impressive. She will probably survive the eviction this week, too, because even though she’s a huge threat, she has a lot of people wanting her to stay. That won’t go over very well with Tucker, but if Chelsie survives this week, I think she makes it a whole lot farther in this game. Last Week: 93
Rubina: 85/100. Rubina has herself in a great spot. She’s protected by Tucker, and she’s good with the people who are likely going to break off from the alliance with Tucker. That puts Rubina in a solid spot because no one is going to go after her to get to Tucker as Quinn previously did. People are starting to notice she and Tucker are an actual showmance, even if they are trying their best not to call it that. So that’s why she’s not any higher currently. Last week: 80
Joseph: 83/100. I want to rank Joseph higher, but people are finally onto him a bit. He was laying super low and doing a great job, but now he’s up there with Tucker as far as targets go. But he has hitched himself to Tucker, and that’s a smart move if Tucker keeps up his competition win streak. He is smart and knows what’s going on, but still knows how to be pretty unassuming. Last week: 89
T’Kor: 80/100. I’m torn on how to rank T’Kor because she’s making moves that she thinks benefits her game, so I respect that, but I don’t really think the moves she’s making and wanting to make, really does help her game. I think she would be much wiser to stick to the Sixth Avenue alliance and stay on Tucker’s good side. He actually really likes her, but she prefers the side that was ready to throw her and Kimo under the bus. So I think she is trying to make good moves, but I think she’s missing the mark. I think this grade is even too high for her, but I’m giving her points for effort. Last week: 90
Kimo: 80/100. See above. Any place I say T’Kor, change it out for Kimo. They are the same person in this game. Last Week: 85
Cam: 79/100. I feel like I should give Cam an “Incomplete.” Is he even in Big Brother? I have no idea what kind of game he’s playing. For a minute I was impressed that he wasn’t on anyone’s radar but I don’t think that was really strategy. I think he just thinks he’s hanging out for the summer. And this week he could actually go home having done absolutely nothing. Last week: 82
Brooklyn: 73/100: Brooklyn took a massive tumble this week. She was so high last week because she and Chelsie were running the show. But Tucker saw that, called it out and nominated them. And ever since her nomination, Brooklyn has made herself look worse and worst among the other houseguests. If she survives this week, it’s only because T’Kor and Kimo are making a bad decision. It won’t be because Brooklyn convinced people she should stay in the game. Last week: 93
Quinn: 69/100. Quinn has played a terrible game. Even this week when Tucker threw him a massive bone, he still fumbled it. He had a better week after Tucker took him off the block, but there’s no path for him now. His closest allies, are even looking elsewhere. I think his days are numbered, unless he does actually try to flip things around and work with Tucker. Last week: 70
Makensy: 68/100. I kind of want to give Makensy a 40. She’s just playing Big Brother on a whole other planet. She not only took part in a vote flip and ended up on the wrong side of the house, but she is calling herself a lone wolf and overstating her competition prowess. Why draw attention to yourself? She has just played this whole game so oddly. She has no clear path beyond the next few weeks. Last week: 76
