Big Brother 26: Alliances And Deals Report Week 8

In one of the weirdest seasons ever – when it comes to alliances, but also pretty much everything else – the Big Brother 26 Top 9 have given us one of the most unusual alliances and deals reports.

Normally at this point in the game, we would still have some major alliances or groups. This season we have just a few assumed deals and one solid trio.

The trio, of course, are the remains of the Friendzzz alliance: T’Kor, Rubina and Kimo. And more shocking that this is the only solid group in the game is that they let this trio get to the jury portion of the game together and might even let them remain intact this week! There was some talk of that three trying to make things better with Quinn and pull him in, which would actually make them a dominate group numbers-wise, but that hasn’t really developed. And after what could go down at today’s veto meeting, that would likely be very short-lived.

Another trio, though currently unspoken, seems to me Chelsie, Cam and Makensy. They all seem to be on the same page, but have not officially formed anything. But that seems to be how things re really going this season. Are modern Big Brother alliances dead? You have to really wonder after this season.

As for duos, Kimo and T’Kor are still very solid. Leah and Angela are on shaky grounds this week, which is no surprise there because Angela is one of the worst allies in this show’s history. Cam and Chelsie are still watching out for each other, but have never solidified any kind of Final 2. And then Leah and Quinn have their little thing. But once again, a lot is going to change this week if the veto meeting happening soon goes a certain way.

And then we have T’Kor and Chelsie. They both want to protect each other, but have working on different sides of the game against each other for weeks. So that is a very interesting dynamic – one that could very easily turn into the Final 2 if they keep their opposing sides while still protecting each other. We’ve seen something like this only one other time – Big Brother 4’s Jun and Allison. Though that was more intentional and the dynamics were a lot different, but it has similar vibes.

What a strange season. Little to no loyalty. Very little strategy. No trust. And I’m loving it. It’s so nice to see a modern season of Big Brother be so unpredictable.
