It was definitely a busy and dramatic day in the Big Brother 23 house as Derek X put into motion his backdoor Christian plan. Alyssa and Christian spent much of the day and evening already campaigning, as tensions continued to rise among various houseguests. Read on to find out if the early campaigning is working or not.

Big Brother 23 Live Feed Highlights – Monday, August 9, 2021:
3:12 PM BBT – Hannah tells Sarah Beth she doesn’t think it’s smart to start pulling people aside and campaigning already like Christian and Alyssa are doing. She tells SB to just enjoy her birthday. SB says Britini told her the same thing.
3:17 PM BBT – Alyssa asks Derek X why he kept asking her about saying his name. DX says when you are HOH you hear a lot of things. Alyssa asks him if he just believes everything he hears. DX says he heard the same thing from a couple of people and the stories matched up. Alyssa tells DX he wasn’t even an option for her to put up if she was HOH this week.
3:20 PM BBT – DX tells Alyssa he didn’t think she was coming after him but thought Christian was. Alyssa asks why he would believe that after Christian didn’t touch him last week when he was HOH.
3:21 PM BBT – DX says someone has to be lying to him. Alyssa says so she guesses he thought it was her who was lying.
4:00 PM BBT – Derek F tells SB that she’s mentally strong and Christian is physically strong, and he would rather keep someone mentally strong.
4:06 PM BBT – Kyland wants to make an alliance of Kyland, SB, DX and Hannah, with Big D as an extra number.
4:13 PM BBT – Tiffany is giving Christian some advice on how to campaign against SB. Most of it is about whether or not she is really in a relationship and how she acts around Kyland. Christian says assuming SB does have a girlfriend and is cuddling up with Kyland shows she has a lack of loyalty.
4:15 PM BBT – SB tells Kyland she feels good about Azah’s vote and knows Hannah will do whatever DX wants her to do. She’s not really too worried about securing the votes to stay this week. Kyland suggests she old off on heavy campaigning until Wednesday morning.
4:22 PM BBT – After Christian leaves, Tiffany cam talks that she has to cover her bases because you never know, he could stay this week. She says she’s just giving him some tools to use so he knows she supports him in case he does stay. But she says she’s not trying to flip the vote. She says as bad as she wants SB out, she’s not trying to flip the vote. She says she knows she can’t beat Christian.
5:04 PM BBT – Christian and Alyssa have taken a break from the early campaigning and have retreated to the Have-Not room for some heavy making out.
5:06 PM BBT – Claire tells Xavier that she will definitely listen to Christian and Alyssa’s pitches and consider what they say to her.
5:52 PM BBT – Claire gets called to the Diary Room for her punishment costume.
6:50 PM BBT – Azah tells DX that Alyssa got to work for Christian right after the veto meeting. Azah says she told Christian she was going to think about it but assures DX she’s sticking to the plan. Azah says Alyssa is scary now and prays she doesn’t win HOH. Azah says she could see Alyssa putting her and DX on the block or DX and Hannah.
6:52 PM BBT – Claire performs her 52-pickup punishment.
6:56 PM BBT – Azah tells DX that Christian told her he would be coming after DX, Hannah and Kyland if he were to stay.
7:08 PM BBT – Tiffany and Claire discuss Kyland assuming everyone is voting to keep SB and says he wants them to let him and SB know for sure. Tiffany doesn’t understand why Kyland is making he and SB a “we.”
7:27 PM BBT – Alyssa makes her pitch to Azah about how Christian staying would benefit the Jokers. Azah humors her and says she’s thinking about keeping Christian.
7:30 PM BBT – Sarah Beth continues to just work on enjoying her day and is saving the campaigning to start the next day.
8:33 PM BBT – Tiffany and Kyland discuss how hung up X is on losing Christian this week. Tiffany says she thinks X thinks Kyland should lose DX since he has to lose Christian. Tiffany says X needs to think about the six instead of the Kings. She says even if the six doesn’t want to really work together, it wouldn’t make sense for them to break apart. She says numbers wins this game and they have the numbers.
8:36 PM BBT – Tiffany tells Kyland he has to convince X that he does not have DX.
8:41 PM BBT – Tiffany says to Kyland that if Christian were to stay, it would really mess up the six because Christian would go for DX, that messes up his game, Hannah’s game and her game.
8:51 PM BBT – Christian campaigning to Azah and Britini again. They’re heating the same things they’ve already heard from him and Alyssa.
9:10 PM BBT – Britini is annoyed with how Alyssa is presenting the pitch for Christian to stay. Britini tells Azah they don’t need to be afraid of Alyssa. She says they can beat her at the next HOH because she’s going to be distraught having just lost Christian.
9:30 PM BBT – Game talk and campaigning has stalled at the moment. HGs are just hanging out.
10:00 PM BBT – Donkey Kyland is making sandwiches for everyone while in costume as part of his punishment. This lasts for one week.
10:30 PM BBT – HGs discussing the sandwiches punishment that’s coming up for Kyland. HNs will be able to have some of the sandwiches.
11:30 PM BBT – Britini tells DF they should play along with Christian and seem open to voting to keep him for now. She says they can then tell Xavier that his Kings allies were making deals without him. DF thinks Alyssa will come to them when Christian leaves.
11:40 PM BBT – Azah talks with Xavier that she told Christian she would think about the vote but her plan is to vote however DX wants.
11:50 PM BBT – Tiffany and Claire discuss that Christian really thinks he has a chance at staying.
12:10 AM BBT – Alyssa and Christian discuss if Britini was the real target but then she won Veto.
12:30 AM BBT – Tiffany and Claire wonder if DX is viewed as the underdog after nearly being evicted in Week 1 then making his comeback.
1:00 AM BBT – Claire plans to take a lot of showers so she can have an excuse to get out of the costume.
1:20 AM BBT – Hannah lets DX know that DF thought Sarah was still the target.
2:15 AM BBT – Hannah talks with Azah that each of the Cookout has to eventually lose an external ally so she doesn’t see why Xavier gets upset that it’s his turn.
2:25 AM BBT – Sarah tells Kyland that there was talk of a vote flip by Alyssa but neither Claire nor Tiffany told her so she worries about her standing with them.
2:35 AM BBT – Hannah asks Azah if she should go after Sarah or Alyssa if she gets HOH. Azah thinks Alyssa needs to go because she’ll be going after DX but Hannah says Sarah has been targeting her.
3:10 AM BBT – Britini isn’t feeling well and is hanging out in the shower.
3:30 AM BBT – Sarah is frustrated because she saw people talking game today but no one has been coming to her with information.
3:50 AM BBT – Lights out.
Two new punishments rolled out today as DX’s punishment went away. These new ones last for a week. Yikes. Meanwhile we’ve still got Christian trying to figure out his chances but it’s not looking good for him whatsoever.
