Adam Poch’s Big Brother 22 Player Rankings – Week 2

Adam Poch on Big Brother

As Big Brother fans – we have been impatiently waiting 14 years for another All-Star season. Big Brother 22 may not have started as flashy and fun as we wanted, but we see things getting a lot more chaotic and tensions are building. It’s only a matter of time before the volcano erupts and chaos will run rampant inside those walls. This week’s vote may be the spark that ignites the fire – or everyone will just go back to last week’s mentality and not want to rock the vote, I mean boat. What we desperately need is some sort of power shift – let someone who has not been in a hundred alliances win HoH and shake things up. One can only hope, right?

But first – let’s get to this week’s rankings on BB22…

Christmas Abbott – 5 strips of Bacon – despite working with the current HoH – Christmas played & won the Safety Suite competition this week. She was going to be safe regardless – but by winning she kept the facade up that her & Memphis were not close. However – Christmas saving Ian put a wrench in his plans – but that helped her create a bond with a very loyal player. She will ask him to return the favor at some point in the game – and he will.

Bayleigh Dayton – 4 strips of Bacon – riding the fence is usually pretty easy in the first few weeks of the game. Bayleigh has been doing a good job staying in good graces with most of her fellow HGs – has a solid ride or die in Da’Vonne and a strong alliance with the Slick Six. For now Bay is also not on anyone’s radar – so in all – not a bad 2nd week for her.

Cody Calafiore – 3 strips of Bacon – his “easy” HoH week helped him slide back downstairs without anyone’s feathers ruffled. He has several alliances and deals – and that is keeping him protected. His group “The Committee” is close to being fully exposed to the house – but with the power players inside that group – it doesn’t really matter. They have the ability to steamroll through the game.

Tyler Crispen – 3 strips of Bacon – see Cody minus the outgoing HoH aspect

Da’Vonne Rogers – 2 strips of Bacon – Da’Vonne is in a strange position in the house at this point. While having a few deals and alliances – she seems to be the swing vote to keep or get rid of Nicole. If she does go against her initial word of keeping David safe this week – others may follow and then things can get very messy inside the house.

Kaysar Ridha – 2 strips of Bacon – unlike his Dynamic Duo partner Janelle – Kaysar has more connections and easier time talking to people. This does not necessarily translate into him having a smaller target on his back than her – but his gift of gab may be able to save him if his butt in sitting in a nomination chair. He has a few side things going on which also plays into his favor. I sense he will win HoH this week because the BB Gods need to keep this from becoming a one-sided game.

Dani Donato – 2 strips of Bacon – first off – I want to wish Dani & her daughter Tennessee a HAPPY BIRTHDAY. Pretty cool that her daughter was born on her birthday – and pretty sad she cannot celebrate with her – but.. momma gotta go to work. And that is exactly what Dani has been doing – getting to work. She seems to have set up her office in the corner bed of the Photo room where she is constantly having meetings & check-ins with Cody and others. Her laying low tactic seems to be ending and she is starting to want to get her hands dirty. People are starting to catch on – and this could be a bad thing for her soon.

Enzo Palumbo – 1 strip of Bacon – yo, the Meow Meow is chillin this week yo.

Ian Terry – 1 strip of Bacon – if you remember BB14 – Ian welcomed all of the punishments that came his way. Once again this week he was a trooper and took his BB All-Star Wars tasks in stride. He may never know how close he was from touching the block this week. The longer he stays in the house – the better his position will get.

Janelle Pierzina – 1 strip of Tofu – unlike her Dynamic Duo partner Kaysar – Janelle seems to be at the center of all the drama whether it’s real or imagined in other’s heads. For the 2nd week in a row – Janelle was trying to keep someone who pretty much looked like they were one step out of the door. Perhaps Janelle can try a different tactic next week – campaign for the person she wants gone, since others will do the opposite of what she wants out of spite.

Nicole Franzel – 1 strip of Tofu – her feud with Janelle could end up being her demise. Do not mess with the BB Queen! Nicole does have some protection around her – but the “already won the game” stink will be the deciding factor if she stays or goes if she ends up on the block. Her own alliance would be willing to let her take the fall if it means getting them further.

David Alexander – 2 strips of Tofu – nominated alongside his BB21 buddy Nicole A, David also shed some tears – but for a good reason. Memphis literally bullied him by making him a Have-Not and then nominating him with some harsh words (which of course CBS decided not to show us). However – he ends up on the Tofu list this week because “revenge” got the best of him during the VETO comp casing him to lose focus and be eliminated. David is also not good at holding his own during conversations – especially trying to ease the minds of the voters on why they should keep him this week. He will probably stay this week – but not because of anything he did.

Kevin Campbell – 3 strips of Tofu – there were some signs of life from Kevin this week – but it was not enough to get him out of his funk from last week. Kevin still does not have any strong ties besides Nicole A, who’s probably leaving anyway. Janelle & Kaysar have reached out to bring him in after last week campaigning against him, but he’s not picking up on that and will end up being a lone wolf. This could work to his advantage if the house splits and sides are taken – as he’s a number for whoever reels him in. Hopefully, that will give him the footing he needs to get in a better place both mentally & game-wise.

Memphis Garrett – 4 strips of Tofu – now, if you are a regular reader of this column, you know I usually hand out 5 strips of Bacon to someone that wins the HoH and Veto in the same week. But in Memphis’ case – he’s getting Tofu for having a terrible case of HoHitis. First of all – if you concoct a plan to get your alliance members to play in the Safety Suite – make sure you tell them who NOT to keep safe if they win. Next, you blatantly belittle one of your fellow HGs by questioning why they are even in the house. How he delivered that message could have been done a little more gracefully. Finally being so wishy-washy has made his own alliance question him moving forward. Good thing he hasn’t used his VIP Pass yet – because he may need safety this upcoming week depending on who the new HoH is.

Finally, we come to the Tofurkey of the Week – and sadly its Nicole Anthony. Coming into the house – I thought Nicole would bring her new & improved attitude and left her BB21 anxiety outside the house. Instead, she not only brought it with her – but it has multiplied into being the 17th Houseguest this season. She had such a bad read on the house last year and this year it was even worse. She could not believe that a legend (Janelle) was really trying to work with her and was out there campaigning to save her. Threatening to call a House Meeting to expose Janelle did not even make any sense. Everyone knows Janelle is a huge target – and I have no idea what Nicole thought this would accomplish.

There is still an outside chance the votes may fall her way – but that could be all talk at this point. Unless half the house wants to break off from the rest and officially draw a line in the sand to go to war – Nicole will be out here with us very soon.

There you have it – another week is coming to a close – keep your eyes on the feeds today to see if the house will split or unite going into the vote. My question of the week is – who do you NOT want to see win HoH this week?
