Big Brother 22 Episode 23 Recap: The Committee Showing More Cracks

At this point in Big Brother 22, the only thing left to look forward to is when The Committee alliances breaks apart and they start going after each other.

And on Sunday night, we saw the start of that. Not only is Christmas suspicious of Dani and Nicole, but Cody is almost ready to make a move on Christmas. But that scares Nicole because she’s afraid Dani will come after her after Christmas is gone. For some reason, Nicole has started writing the narrative that Dani is going to be coming after her.

But before we get to see that alliance explode, we’ve got to deal with a whole lot more of the same this week.

At the start of Sunday’s episode Nicole and Dani are both playing like they didn’t vote to evict Kevin. Christmas doesn’t believe either of them. And what’s really funny is they’re lying to each other about it too.

Voting drama aside, Dani has to decide if she wants to use her power for Memphis to play in the HOH again. She’s a little worried about using it, but since it increases the odds of her side of the house, Nicole goes to Cody to help convince Dani to use it.  But before Cody can do anything, Dani goes to talk to Memphis to make it seem like she is helping him and the alliance out. Memphis lets us know that he doesn’t want HOH again, but he’s going to play along with Dani.

When the HGs learn that the replay power has been used, they also learn that all powers have been used or are now expired.

Let’s get to the Head of Household competition. For this competition, the players have to play a little put-put game. They can put up to three balls and they can try for HOH or for money. And since they have three shots, it’s possible for someone to win HOH and $10,000.

Tyler is up first. He goes for the prize side first and scores a 3. Then he tries for the HOH side and scores a 14. Nicole decides to only go for the power. She misses her first two shots but lands a 10 on her last one.

Up next is Memphis. He doesn’t want to win HOH or the prizes, so he tries to throw to and ends up with a 5. That’s too good a score so he tries again and lands an 18. Kevin goes next and only tries for the power and scores a 5. But yes afraid to keep that score so he goes again and scores a zero.

Dani decides to just go for the prize money because she doesn’t want to win HOH. She scores a 2. David decides to try for the power. He first scores a 19. He goes again and scores a 7.

Christmas goes for the power and scores a zero. Enzo goes for the prize and scores a zero.

Cody is the last one up and he decides to just go for the power. He first scores a 6. He doesn’t think that will be good enough so he decides to go again. And the give us a commercial cliffhanger. EXCITING! Sorry for the sarcasm.

Now for the results. Four players attempted and there was a tie for First place. So that means Dani and Tyler secretly split the $5,000. For the HOH competition, it’s Cody, with a score of 2 who wins the power.

After the HGs gather inside following the competition, Dani and Enzo want Cody to know that Christmas looked very mad that Cody won HOH. Cody isn’t sure what to make of it or if he believes it. Then on her one-on-one with Cody, she decides to push the Christmas agenda a bit more. Cody realizes it’s an option, but when there are still two people not in their alliance left in the house, will he go for it?

Enzo tries to work on Cody by telling him that Memphis has two Wise Guys alliances, one with Cody and one with Christmas. Cody agrees Christmas needs to go soon, but he wants Kevin to go first. So this week is just more of the same.

At the nomination ceremony, Cody goes the easy, predictable route once again and nominates Kevin and David for eviction. Here’s to hoping that upcoming Triple Eviction gives us something more exciting than this.
