Big Brother 21 Episode 6 Recap: Snakes, Snakes Everywhere!

On Sunday night’s Big Brother 21, the theme was snakes. There were snakes in the Whacktivity Comp, Jackson snaked Kat, and Bella snaked her all-girls alliance.

The snake-filled episode picked up after HOH competition and the houseguests head up to Camp Comeback to catch up with David and Ovi.

Jackson is the one bothered the most by Camp Comeback because he’s the one who sent David out the door and led Ovi to believe they’d help save him. Kathryn tells him that they need to get David on their side. Jackson tells David that he won’t blame him if he has any bad feelings but he set him up to win that first comp and was shocked when he didn’t win. David doesn’t buy what Jackson is selling. So Jackson goes to Ovi to see if he has more luck.

And of course Ovi is so far out of touch with this game, he does buy what Jackson is selling. Ovi lets us know that the power he won in the Whactivity Comp isn’t dead, but just dormant until/if he gets back in the game.

But Nicole decides to tell Ovi that Jack and Jackson blew a lot of smoke at him when he was trying to stay in the house. Ovi might finally realize that the guys played him and played him hard. He lets us know in the Diary Room that he feels betrayed by the guys and now he has to rethink everything going forward if he gets back in the game.

It’s time for the Whacktivity Comp. This week’s players are Tommy, Jackson, Jack, Sam and Holly. Tommy is up first and he finds a whole lot of snakes. For this competition, the players must find a snake that matches each of the three snakes in some cages. The HG who matches the three snakes in the fastest time wins the competition and the power. One by one the others speed through the challenge. In the end it was Jack who won the competition. Now let’s find out what the power this time is. This Chaos power gives him the power to do a new veto draw. This is nothing like Ovi’s power. It’s actually one of the most lame powers in recent seasons.

Jack decides to tell no one he won the power, not even his alliance.

Big Brother has a special surprise for the players. The TV comes on and it’s Winston, Brett, Bayleigh and Swaggy for a Love Island preview. The BB20 alum let them know that the next Veto comp will include a trip for two to Fiji.

And speaking of Love Island, it’s time for BB to force some more quasi showmances on us. Jackson lets us know that Kat is just a burden to him, but there’s actual potential for Holly. He thinks she’s attractive and actually in his alliance. Kat shows up while Holly and Jackson are in the hammock and things get awkward. And then Jackson goes to Jack to kind of suggest Kat go up on the block.

Jackson decides to have “the talk” with Kat. He decides to not be totally straight up with her, and instead tells her he just doesn’t want to be seen as a pair or showmance. Kat tells him that he shows Holly more attention than her so why would anyone think that they’re a pair. He tells her that doesn’t matter and this is about the two of them.

Meanwhile, Bella, Jessica, Kemi and Nicole decide to form a girls’ alliance. Jessica thinks this might actually be the season that the girls can beat the men at their games. The decide to make their alliance the Black Widows. How long will this alliance last? Well, you know it almost always goes … Bella lets us know immediately in the DR that she’s not going to rely on those girls to help her get through the game. So it was dead before it even really started. And to further that, Bella lets Jack know all about the alliance.

And with that, the focus now turns to nominees. Who is Jack actually going to target? He’s already had his sights on Kemi and Jessica, so after the info he got from Bella, it’s pretty obvious. At the nomination ceremony, it is indeed Kemi and Jessica he puts on the block.
