The Battle Back on Big Brother 19 arrives this Friday night on CBS at 8/7c but it’s not too soon to start looking forward to what we can expect and who will be out there competing for a second chance at the game.
So far Big Brother has locked in Cameron, Jillian, and Cody to compete. There’s no room for quitting or self-eviction on this list, so the other departed Houseguest isn’t eligible and won’t be part of this series of competitions.
As for the fourth spot, it’s definitely looking like that’ll go to Dominique. The votes are stacked against her and she isn’t making any headway with the voters this week. She’ll be out the door and heading in to the Battle Back competition. So what happens when she gets there?
We don’t know how production will handle this, but it’s not crazy to expect to see a repeat of last year. They’ve got an entire hour to fill anyway so that’d be tough to do with one big competition. Instead I’m guessing we’ll see three separate challenges. Cameron Vs Jillian then that winner Vs Cody then that winner taking on the 4th evicted HG, most likely Dominique.
Also remember that last season these competitions were held one a week after each of the evictions and HoH comps after the HGs were back inside. That means it won’t be live and it’s entirely possible that Cameron has been hanging out in that sequester hotel for all this time having lost in the first round just waiting to go home this weekend. Ouch.
So who could win this one out? Looking back at the first night’s competition we saw Jillian fall first while Cameron was out third of the eight competitors. So neither of them were huge dominating players, but I’ll give Cameron the edge for outlasting Jillian the last time.
If we send Cameron on to Round 2 against Cody, well, I’m going to give the edge to Cody based on that same first night challenge. Cody made it to second place far outlasting Cameron. Both are smart enough guys that should be able to handle any puzzle/mental aspects so I’ll weigh more heavily on the physical side here and give it to Cody.
That’d leave Cody for Dominique in a third round. Dominique lasted about 80 mins in last week’s HoH endurance comp so she’s no joke on physical comps and she’s definitely smart. I think she could be a threat to Cody in this last challenge and if it’s her versus Cameron she might even had an edge here.
If I was forced to make a pick now then I’d give it to Cody Nickson for the Battle Back win, but without knowing what sort of competitions each round will feature it’s hard to know for sure. If it is Cody coming back I bet the house will regret keeping Jessica once they pair back up again. Oops!
