Loose Shelli lips sinks Sixth Sense ships on Big Brother 17 and that doesn’t make alliance matriarch Vanessa too happy. Not happy at all and we know what can happen then.

After Shelli and Clay revealed way more than they should have in an overnight talk with James there was an immediate reaction of guilt that sent them to Vanessa to beg forgiveness. All might not be forgiven, but Vanessa is on it.

Just before the Veto meeting James let Austin in on what he had learned from Shelli which put him on spin mode where he ran to Liz to share the news. No one was happy with this and Vanessa knew it was just going to get worse.

After the meeting Vanessa went to Austin and the twins to vent her anger. Flashback to 12:25 PM BBT 8/3 on your Live Feeds. Sign-up for the Free Trial now to start watching the in-house cameras. Vanessa tells them that depending on how much Shelli and Clay revealed that it might be time to work with James. Austin like this idea and tells Vanessa he thinks they it’s sincere on James’s part.

Jump forward to 1:14PM BBT as Vanessa gets Shelli alone to find out what was spilled. Vanessa wants to know just how bad this is but she’s assuring Shelli that everything is going to be okay. I’m guessing Vanessa is hoping to contain any further leaks from a possibly frightened Shelli.

Shelli promises Vanessa she did not reveal any alliance information but suggests that James extrapolated it out of the discussion. That’s true as James figured it out once Shelli and Clay left the room. Shelli suggests he was using that to get a confirmation from Austin by acting as though he already knew about it.

Vanessa promises Shelli it’s not a lost cause and she’ll need to apologize to Austin and the twins, but when it comes to campaigning for the five vote this week, that’s best left to Vanessa. Probably a good idea for Shelli, as long as Vanessa doesn’t get second thoughts and shift her goals.

Wasting no time Vanessa goes to Austin and the twins to backtrack on her earlier stance of not wanting to work with Shelli or Clay. What a difference 80 minutes makes! Flashback to 1:45 PM BBT as Vanessa talks them up in the backyard.

Vanessa is pushing that Shelli feels terrible about leaking all the information and wants to come clean. She tells Austin that Shelli did reveal his Judas alter ego and his vote for Audrey. All the same, Vanessa campaigns for Shelli saying she’d be the better ally over Clay. They seem to agree with this suggestion.

Now it’s Shelli’s turn to eat crow as she comes out to grovel for forgiveness from Austin and the twins. She admits what she said and how it was wrong of her. Shelli is trying to explain it in a way that doesn’t cause more problems. The whole thing is messy but a formality anyway as her allies know it’s probably better to keep her over Clay.

The speech has worked for Shelli. Twins promise that they do want her to stay over Clay, “unfortunately.” Heh. So there are four of Shelli’s votes. Why stop now when Vanessa is on a roll? Steve’s turn.

Vanessa grabs Steve and they talk in the hammock. She explains they need his vote this week as it could be 5-4 to get Clay out and keep Shelli. Vanessa says the other side wants Shelli gone which is reason enough for them to keep her so they don’t get what they want. Steve is promised that Shelli doesn’t know he’s working with Vanessa. But also consider that Steve could end up as the replacement 6th member of this alliance.

To make Steve feel good about the situation of needing his help, and probably in hope of being the first to tell him (I think James might have done that already), Vanessa lets Steve know what Shelli did overnight. She explains how this has put Shelli in the position to be a pawn at their leisure. Steve is on board.

Vanessa has done it again. She’s got the votes going in the way she wants and everyone nods in unison per her instructions. Vanessa makes it look so effortless! Think Clay will turn on this or has his fight completely left him?
