Big Brother 17: Who Will Win? Counting The Jury Votes [POLL]

The Big Brother 17 Jury will come together on Wednesday night for the season finale where they’ll cast their vote to help decide which remaining Houseguest will walk away with the half-million dollar prize. Predicting which way it’ll go might be more difficult than it seems.

We’ve looked at the F2 match-ups and there appear to just be two potential cases and while one of them seems clear cut for deciding a winner the other could end up surprising some of us.

If Vanessa wins round three of the Final HoH on Wednesday night then she’s cutting Steve. If she moves on to the F2 with Liz then it’s an easy win for Vanessa. Really though I doubt it’d be a hard win for her against Steve either though.

In a Liz and Vanessa match-up I think Vanessa could take it 7-2 with Julia and Austin being the hold outs. No one expects the Austwins to vote against one another. That just won’t happen. And while we’ve heard comments from James and Meg in the house that they’d never vote for Vanessa, they may not have considered their options.

Vanessa and Liz are coming from the same alliance so it’s not like the Jury gets to pick one side or the other here. If they didn’t like the Scamper Squad group then they’re picking between two unpleasant choices for them. It’s certainly possible that Jurors may feel too burned by Vanessa’s methods to vote for her and that’d be a testament to her fight-then-evict, etc. methods. But with a guide to their Jury round table, they may be able to overcome those frustrations before the big vote.

For Liz to win against Vanessa she’d have to flip three more votes. John and Becky had agreed inside the house that if Vanessa got to F2 they’d vote for her and I think they will. That leaves Jackie, Meg, and James for a possible flip. Maybe. Maybe they would since they certainly didn’t align with Vanessa, but it seems like a long shot for all three of them to do it together. Also keep in mind that James told us he’d like to see Vanessa and John at F2.

As for Steve, he won’t vote bitter. If Vanessa gets the chance to send him out to Jury then he’ll respect her game move and Vanessa will get his vote.

If the F2 ends up Vanessa and Liz then Vanessa wins the $500,000 and deservedly so. Now on to the other match-up.

The other possible match-up would be Steve and Liz. Yes, if Steve wins round three then he will be cutting Vanessa out of the game. Now that alone should be seen as a major move. It was John who declared the player who got her out would be a “god” and I think he might not be alone with that view among the Jurors. However I do think this one could be a toss-up until we hear more from the Jury’s round table discussion.

Again, Liz would start with Austin and Julia voting for her to win. From there Steve couldn’t let more than two of the remaining seven Jurors turn against him. So who might he have for votes?

Shelli told us she hopes to see Steve go far, but she had the whole twin bond going with Liz and Julia. So maybe Steve isn’t a shoe-in for her vote when he’s up against Liz.

Then you’ve got the Goblins. Meg told THR she wouldn’t vote for Vanessa or Steve, but would she really vote for Liz as an alternative? If James had hoped for Vanessa and John at the end then maybe he’ll vote for Steve as a pass through vote, but don’t discount how James wanted to work with Austin so maybe that’ll factor in. Then with Jackie? Geez, another one that I don’t feel certain about and she may go with her allies’ decision as she did all season in-house.

John would vote for Steve over Liz, that one I feel good about. He worked with Steve long enough to support him here and if Steve is in F2 then Vanessa is in Jury and we know what John said about that. So there’s one vote for Steve.

What about Vanessa? Well she told Liz that if Steve votes to evict her then she will not vote for Steve to win over Liz. Vanessa wants a woman to win and she’s been aligned with the twins about as long as she has with Steve. You’d think that if Vanessa considers herself the best player this season then the person who got her out must have bested her, right? Nah. I think she’ll vote for Liz over Steve if she’s in the Jury.

So in a Steve vs Liz line-up we’ve got one sure thing for Steve and two sure things for Liz plus a most likely for Liz from Vanessa. From there Liz would just need two more while Steve needs four more. The decision could come down to whether they are more impressed by someone taking out Vanessa or someone who managed to avoid evictions despite being part of what should have been an early target for her twin twist involvement.

My knee-jerk reaction is to say Steve would beat Liz, and that’s how I’m leaning, but it’s not certain to me yet if he will. I’m really anxious to see which way the Jury is going when they hold their talks and that should tell us a lot about how the final vote could go.

In the meantime, tell us what you think. Share your thoughts below and then cast your votes for who you expect to win and then in the second poll for who you wish would win.
