Over the past few seasons we’ve been given the proverbial crumbs with commercials just as we have this season, so that’s good. But at about two and a half weeks off we’ve still got some time before the really good stuff.
Back in season 8 of Big Brother we gained entrance to the bizarro house decor 8 days before launch of the season. The next day we learned the theme and got to speculate on what it’d mean for a full day before the cast reveal with just six days until the premiere. Things were different for our inaugural winter season.
In season 9 we learned about the theme on the same seven days advance notice. But then later that evening Variety leaked out (leaked is generous, I’m sure it was intentional and approved by CBS) the cast members names and photos. So that time around we got both the theme and houseguests on the same day.
This year, for Big Brother 10, we’re in the unfortunate situation of having the 4th of July right upon that crucial time in BB preseason. Not only that, but we’ll also have a Sunday premiere while the past two seasons have been mid-week. Considering this crunch on dates I wouldn’t expect to get those details revealed until closer to six days before the premiere of BB10. Anything before would either be lost due to the holiday or the weekend lull of news.
I’d of course love to get a surprise on Thursday the 3rd but I’m putting my money on Monday the 7th for our big splash of Big Brother 10 news.
