America’s Favorite Houseguest for Big Brother 17 will be revealed in just a few more days, but we can look to our poll results for your pick here and a hint at who may be walking away with the $25K prize.
The official voting for CBS’s official poll used to award America’s Fav will remain open until 10AM PT (1PM ET) today (Monday, Sept 21) so if you haven’t voted yet or wanted to cast another few votes then be sure to visit now before the deadline. As for our poll, we’ll keep it open awhile longer but let’s look at the results as of this morning.
Voters are settling in on their favorites for the season with our last round of votes with the top four all holding their spots over the past few weeks while several middle ranks are jumping up for a last go at the title.
John McGuire has remained the top pick for our readers since Week 3 on the site and even then he was in second place on Week 2. His top competition has consistently been James Huling who is the biggest threat to topple John when the official results are announced. I won’t be surprised for John to win, but if he doesn’t then it’ll definitely be James who nabs the $25K.
As for our Final 3 Houseguests, it’s great to see both Vanessa and Steve up there in your Top 5 plus Liz isn’t that far out of that bracket with her 7th place spot. Looks like readers won’t be too unhappy with how things turn out considering it seems most likely Vanessa or Steve will be winning the season.
Several recent past evictees had a strong final showing with Meg making a leap back in to the Top 5 and pre-Jury boot Jason roaring back up six spots to outrank the F3’s Liz. Julia manages to take the lowest spot for any Jurors but is just behind Becky.

She’s up less than 1% from previous week. I am not sure how many people voted but say it’s 1000 people. So there were only 6 or 7 people more voted for her this week compared to last week.

I hope everyone got their AFP votes in. I think there were two days I was unable to vote because of the system, but got my final votes in today. At this point that’s the result I’m waiting to see, not who wins this game. I really think the cast this season was one of the worst. This is really the first time in awhile I am not rooting for any of the final 3. :(
John and James account for 84% of the popularity poll votes. Not surprised. What speaks volumes about this season is that 15 HG only got less than 16% of the votes. That’s probably just their families and friends voting for them. Pathetic

Johnny Mac is definitely, in my opinion, the most entertaining this season. However, he probably doesn’t need the money since he’s a dentist. James however has a daughter and the money could be helpful. Plus James is a sweetheart. So I’ve been voting for both. If either wins, I’m totally cool with it.
John has thousands in school debt.
But he also makes thousands a year. Plus, if he’s so in debt, how could he afford to take off for 3 months with no income in “hopes” of winning the money? BTW, I love Johnny Mack….I don’t want to sound mean, just practical.

Do you know how many years it takes to pay back school loans? A long time. He’s got over 70,000 in loans. He also made money while he was on the show.
