One final night for Jeff to campaign and he wasn’t going to let it go to waste as he moved from one potential ally to the next looking for help.

Vanessa and her allies were already counting their chickens for next week and celebrating this week’s victory in the HoH room, but the vote wasn’t over yet. Or was it?

Big Brother 17 Live Feed Highlights – Wednesday, July 15, 2015:

4:08 PM BBT – Vanessa and Austin talking about Audrey being America’s player. They think that’s why she’s pinned stray votes on Steve. They talk about replacing Audrey in their alliance too because they can’t trust her to vote with them if she’s America’s player.

4:12 PM BBT – Now talk has turned to Team America and maybe Clay and Shelli are a part of that.

4:23 PM BBT – Vanessa is 100 percent sure Audrey is America’s player and tells Austin she’s disappointed because she wanted to work with her (this is highly annoying since Vanessa spent the entire week not wanting Audrey out and now she wants her out after she just missed the opportunity). They talk about replacing Audrey with John.

4:36 PM BBT – Austin relays this absurd information about Audrey being America’s Player to Liz.

4:40 PM BBT – Jeff is talking privately with Shelli and Clay. Elsewhere, Liz points this out to Austin and it makes him nervous.

5:05 PM BBT – Vanessa checks with Becky on her vote and she confirms she’s voting to evict Jeff. Vanessa mentions the possibility of a third vote (on in addition to Jackie’s and John’s). Becky says she doesn’t think that will happen.

5:50 PM BBT – More talk about Audrey being America’s Player. Vanessa is now fixated on it.

5:58 PM BBT – Shelli tells Vanessa and Clay that production is hinting at her to keep Jeff. Feeds cut.

6:10 PM BBT – Austin tells James he should be fine, but he needs to make sure he still campaigns because Jeff is working hard to stay.

6:30 PM BBT – Liz tells James her vote will be for him to stay. He promises Liz a one-week safety deal.

6:51 PM BBT – Jeff tells Clay that he’s figured out that Austin staged the fight in the bathroom that got him put up on the block.

7:15 PM BBT – Alcohol delivery. 12-pack of beer and three bottles of wine.

8:00 PM BBT – Clay is dared to kiss Shelli, but she says they’ve decided that their first kiss will not be in the house, but in private.

8:10 PM BBT – Shelli, Meg, Audrey and Jason are working on their musical.

8:15 PM BBT – Jeff and Jackie are talking privately. He tells her he wants to stay to go after Vanessa.  Jackie tells him about Vanessa insisting Audrey is America’s Player.

8:47 PM BBT – James and Steve make a deal for Steve to evict Jeff.

9:03 PM BBT – Jeff tells Jackie not to trust Clay and Shelli because they’re liars. He also says from the way everyone is acting he’d rather leave than be around them.

9:04 PM BBT – Vanessa asks Clay why he hasn’t told Jeff he’s evicting him. Clay says because he’s not totally sure what he’s doing but he’s 90 percent sure it’s Jeff he’s voting. Vanessa is not happy with this response. She lets him know why he needs to vote Jeff out and says if he and Shelli don’t, all trust is lost.

9:15 PM BBT – Jeff tells Jackie that Vanessa is a “piece of sh*t” pathological liar and is almost as bad as Audrey.

9:20 PM BBT – Shelli lectures Clay on sticking with one alliance. She’s afraid they’re going to make Vanessa lose trust in them. Clay tells Shelli he’s definitely voting Jeff out.

9:30 PM BBT – Shelli and Clay ask Meg about her vote. She’s still unsure and suggests she trusts Jeff more than James.

9:35 PM BBT – Austin and Liz are having a date night in the HOH room.

9:43 PM BBT – It sounds like Meg is actually going to vote out Jeff just to let Clay and Shelli know she has their backs. Meg is being confusing, though.

9:57 PM BBT – Clay works on Vanessa, telling her that he’s sorry he was being dumb when he said he wasn’t sure how he was voting. Vanessa lets him know how mad she was and seemingly still is.

10:10 PM BBT – Shelli and Clay have been talking to Jackie about the Jeff situation and why they can’t keep him.

10:22 PM BBT – Austin thinks Jeff is trying to pick a fight with him.

10:25 PM BBT – Vanessa is telling Austin what happened with Clay and Shelli. Vanessa starts talking crazy about how they don’t want to cross her and that she’ll kill Audrey if she crosses her in the game. Austin says Clay and Shelli are working with everyone and they need to be exposed.

10:40 PM BBT – Audrey asks Vanessa what is going on and she tells her about Clay and starts flipping out all over again and says she took a bath in blood for “you people.”

10:48 PM BBT – Vanessa is obsessing over Clay saying he’s only 90 percent sure he’s voting to evict Jeff. Shelli says not to worry, he’s evicting Jeff and he just felt bad for him. Vanessa isn’t calming down and says she’s not going to be played for a fool. Shelli goes to get Clay so he can be a part of the conversation so she’s not stuck relaying it all back to him.

10:55 PM BBT – Again, Vanessa is asking Clay about the 90 percent comment. He says he’s definitely voting Jeff out so no one needs to worry. Vanessa tells Clay if he wants to feel bad for Jeff, how about feeling bad for her. She knows if Jeff stays he’s coming right for her.

11:50 PM BBT – Jeff and Shelli are talking in the hammock room. He tells her that keeping him will be more beneficial to her game than keeping James. He owns up to his mistakes but is till confused as to why he’s such a target suddenly. He talks about him leaving being unfair to Jackie just because he messed up. He starts crying. He wants to right what he’s wronged with them and their alliance.

12:00 AM BBT – Shelli didn’t buy what Jeff was saying. She tells Clay and Vanessa about the conversation she had with him.

12:30 AM BBT – Jeff tells Meg that he needs her vote. She tells him that what she does will be with the majority. He tells her that he tried to get through to Clay and Shelli, but he doesn’t know if it helped.

1:00 AM BBT – James promises Vanessa he’s trustworthy and should be kept around. She’s assured him the votes are there for him to stay this week even if it’s closer than they expect.

1:20 AM BBT – Clay promises James his and Shelli’s vote to stay.

1:40 AM BBT – Jeff talks with Audrey and is frustrated that he can’t figure out why he’s being targeted like this. He lists out who he thinks will vote for him to stay including John, Jackie, Becky, and Steve.

1:45 AM BBT – Audrey, stirring away, relays to Meg and Jason that Jeff might be getting the votes after all.

2:15 AM BBT – Liz and Austin share the HoH room. She’s sleeping on her side, facing away, and on the edge of the bed again.

2:20 AM BBT – A pillow fight started up in the purple room and HGs are back up and awake for another half hour.

4:20 AM BBT – Jeff and Jackie are still awake. He’s trying to figure out a way to stay but it’s not going to help him.

  1. Paranoia on Vanessa’s part is going to end up sending her out the door pretty soon.

      • She and Jeff deserve each other. They are playing the same game. Constantly switch strategies and question those whom you have pledged to take to the end.

It’s not boring to watch. It’s maddening!

      • Whatever it is, it is confusing as all get out! Can’t wait to see she wins HOH and how Vans week gets interpreted by the house guests once she is no longer in power.

  2. I really do think Vanesa might have some mental issue going on. Paranoia and fixation on things not even there or happening. And I get it that the house could make you that way so maybe outside of the house she’s not like that.

    • She needs a cool headed partner to keep her emotionally stable and balanced.

  3. This week finally showed the players I hate: Vanessa and Austin. I think both are a bit “unbalanced.” I mean, that dopey hat, though.

    • Can’t decide if I don’t like her, or if I just feel bad for all her paranoia.

      • I kind of do too, I think I’m disappointed because at the beginning of her HOH I was happy to see her not go with the house. Those are usually become my fav players. Then the non stop talking/paranoia set in…

      • Hopefully the paranoia will cause missteps and they will both be gone, is how I see it.

  4. Perhaps, Vanessa is just acting this paranoid to get others thinking that she is not that in control in the game, so to be perceived as not a threat, therefore worth being the goat to be brought to the end? Similarly, to her somewhat emotional breakdown in week 1?

She and Audrey are both playing brilliant games .. blowing up everyone’s game/strategy .. And, I will add Austin into the mix, as well … :)
As for Jason, he definitely has no “filter” on that mouth of his … and, might be added to this group, as well ..

    • Audrey’s not playing a brilliant game. She just blew up her own strategy and one side of the house is ignoring it. Vanessa didn’t even blow anything up. She just came up with a poor excuse to put up Jeff but nobody else cared. It’s just that she’s the HOH. Austin his game is not bad but his obsession with Liz will hurt him in the future. Jason haven’t seen enough game from him yet. Maybe next week.

  5. I’m sick to death of Liz/Julia. The cat is out of the bag on that
twist, so it fails to be a twist anymore. It seems like now we are just
going through the motions of them switching out, but there is nothing
interesting about it anymore. I’m even kind of hoping they get evicted
before they both are in the game.

  6. I’d like to bring a serious challenge to the idea that being a good poker player means being good at BB. The logic is seriously flawed. You may be a good pickpocket, but that does not necessarily make you good at a long con. Vanessa may be good at holding it together at a poker table and reading another player in a moment, but she is not good at the long game. At a poker table, she doesn’t need to establish any sort of relationship or emotional connection with that player and certainly doesn’t need to live with them. At the poker table, she is the pick pocket. At BB, she is playing the long con, and not very well.

    • in big poker tournaments, the farther along she got, the more she would blow up in a pressure situation. She has several world series cashes, but no final tables, because she makes bad choices in high pressure situations. She does well in online poker because there is no human element. She is very intelligent and analytical, but she has little common sense and people skills

    • I read/saw somewhere that Vanessa is an online poker player. Anyone who’s an avid gambler will tell you that online poker and in-person table based poker are two completely different games. Everything, except strategy, about being good at in-person poker, including bluffing, reading people, keeping your emotions in check, etc. goes right out the window when you’re playing online since no one can see you or your reaction. It’s possible that Vanessa really did win the $4.2M she claimed by playing online poker, but she has no clue how to play this game, and she certainly knows nothing about maintaining a strategy to win.

      • Vanessa started out playing sit and go poker and tournament poker. If you check out her Wikipedia page, you can see all of her accomplishments in tournament (not online) poker. She also has been on Poker After Dark which is high stakes Las Vegas poker and she came in second in the 2009 National Heads-Up Poker Championship tournament.

    • I agree with you. Playing cards by calculating odds is not the same as playing with people who are unpredictable and are calculating their own odds.

Vanessa is turning out to be mean, cold, nasty, paranoid and also a little crazy – make that a lot crazy.

  7. I watch and listen to Vanessa on these feeds and I swear, at times, she gets a crazy look in her eye like she could slit your throat..this girl is ruthless..make her angry and she comes out swinging. I don’t think she will last much longer in the game..her being HOH this week has revealed to me alot about Vanessa. Her paranoia overtook her and you cannot survive in the BB house with being paranoia 99% of the time. It seems like a HG tells her something and she literally does not believe them and she will ask them over and over and over and over again until she gets the answer that she MIGHT like. She has gone from one of my faves to one of my most disliked this week. I guess that’s what being HOH can do to some HG. I really think she had potential.

  8. to quote Varsity Blues: “Vanessa is the dumbest smart kid I’ve ever seen”

  9. I think Van is abusing her alliance. She changes her mind on a dime (granted she is right about Jeff). Then she goes after Clay for only supporting her witch hunt 90%. Frankly, if we have to witch hunt every player who is working more than one angle, that list would include Van and her final two chum, Aud. This is all insanity! And, what she cant figure out is that she just got played by evil Judas.

  10. Vanessa jibber-jabbers people into submission. You can just imagine what the dynamics of her relationships outside the house are like.

  11. Jeff is just such a bad player. He just cannot keep his mouth shut. When John won the veto Jeff should have stayed out of sight. Instead he went around the house campaigning against people in his alliance and got caught. And what’s worse is he spoke to Clay who immediately relayed what he said to Austin who then went to Vanessa who then confronted Jeff and Jeff never connected that the information Vanessa had could only have come from Clay and Austin – his supposed allies. Then again, Jeff talks so much to so many people he probably cannot keep track of what he is saying to whom.

The way he plays the game he is not good for anyone so he should be evicted.

But Vanessa is just crazy. She is all over the place and full of ridiculous ideas and theories – like keeping Liz/Julia or wanting an alliance with the most hated person in the house. And for someone who thinks she is so smart, she lets Austin play her like a fiddle.

I am hoping James and Jason win HOH this week, but if they do I am afraid they will evict Steve or Audrey instead of Vanessa, Austin, Clay or Shelli.

Although, I think Clay and Shelli will float over to whoever is the next HOH even if it means dumping Austin and Vanessa.

  12. Wow talk about watching the Vanessa show last night. Her mouth never stopped. I had to keep switching feeds and every time I went back to the HOH room she was still talking. I don’t really know who I want to get HOH because nobody is loyal to any of them. I guess JMac would be a good one. But as for the second one I’m up in the air. I just hope Vanessa and Audrey are in the final two seats after the BOB and POV!

  13. ..always read comments but finally decided to join the party!!
I enjoyed the Austin, Vanessa, Shelli, Clay alliance that was going to protect Liz/Julia….until V got power and started talking. Over it. Her paranoia will be more enjoyable to watch (I hope)when she doesn’t have power-I think she’ll be shocked when people won’t listen to her. I agree that “Shay” can be boring but there may be hope for them..at least they are trying to be interesting by going between both sides. Clay doesn’t always just say what he knows someone wants to hear-it has made things interesting….at least for a few minutes. I agree that Austin is like Caleb since he’s not playing with his head (one on his neck).
Twin Twist is boring but if they both make it into the house, it could shake things up since they don’t agree and have started showing different opinions–I’ll keep hoping for anything that could shake things up and make it more interesting!!
I love that JMac, Meg, Jason are being underestimated….c’mon it’s only week 3!!
I love reading everyone’s opinions and totally respect them!!

    • Yeah, she is in for a rude awakening when she has to go back downstairs instead of isolating herself in the HOH room. Would be great if she is a have-not to see her spin totally out of control.

      • Oh yea….love the have-not idea!
I find it ridiculous, especially this early in the game, the paranoia that comes when a few people are seen in a room together. Last night on BBAD Austin immediately believed that production was letting them know there was an alliance between Clay, Shelli, Audrey and Jackie AND then it became paranoia that ‘Shay’ couldn’t be trusted and they just knew they were sharing secrets with Audrey and Jackie-it’s too early for alliances to break themselves up for no reason…. I still can’t figure out why Vanessa is telling lies to Steve and Austin….SHE’s the Audrey 2.0 not Jeff

  14. Why would anyone publicly tell who they are voting for? If Liz is voted out before the start of week 6, there could be a returning player due to the planned timeline of evictions and double evictions.

Audrey has always done her rogue vote, if Jeff comes back in and wins HoH Clay could always say that he tried and voted for him to stay.

    Vanessa ruined her game.

    • This whole season is made up of HG’s who think they have to blab everything. Crazy strategy.

  15. Clay made such a bonehead move last night telling Vanessa he was “90% sure” he was going to evict Jeff. It’s like, even if he’s feeling that way, you can’t say that!! He’s in an alliance with Vanessa and clearly knows Jeff is her target.

How can Clay not see that that was going to set Vanessa off? Vanessa made such a huge deal to get Jeff on the block and for you to not tell her everything she wants to hear blows my mind. He should have just told her “hey Vanessa I know we’re working together and you went through a lot of drama getting Jeff on the block and he’s your target this week, but I don’t know if I want to evict him after all. Hope that’s okay.”

It probably won’t cost him, but man little gaffs like that annoy me.

  16. Sorry, everyone. But Vanessa is not overplaying. At least not yet. Just because she’s vocalizing her future plans to Austin doesn’t mean she’s going to immediately act on them. It all depends on who wins next HOH and how she interacts with them. As long as that HOH isn’t immediately targeting someone in her circle, she can spend week 4 laying low, observing everything, and adjusting her game accordingly. She did that during the first two weeks. What’s to say she won’t do that this upcoming week?

I’m not giving up on Vanessa yet.

  17. I’m getting really tired of Vanessa’s immense overreaction to everything she hears. She is the poster child for the term “HOH-itis”. She is completely unstable and throws her weight around the first second that anyone challenges her. I find it kind of funny how in this last episode, she called Austin out for trying to “intimidate her”, yet whenever anyone says something she doesn’t like, she’s hurling out threats, getting in people’s face, yelling, etc. She’s just acting like a crazy person, I used to really like her in the game but this week has really opened my eyes.

It’s astonishing how in just one week, two people who I had been very impressed with (Van and Austin) have turned into two of the most irrational players in the game (in my opinion).

I would not be entirely surprised to see Van getting evicted before jury, seems like she’s really managed to push herself into the spotlight and is a prime candidate to go on the block next week. Should be interesting to watch her panic and freak out.

  18. Crap like this will make me quit watching shows like BB:

5:58 PM BBT – Shelli tells Vanessa and Clay that production is hinting at her to keep Jeff. Feeds cut.

I quit watching TAR early on because I felt production interfered with the show too much.
