Big Brother 16 Live Feeds: Week 5 Thursday Night Highlights

BB16-0724-Zach-HOH-robe

It was a busy night in the Big Brother 16 house as new Heads of Household Frankie and Zach were scrambling to have a plan in motion incase they are forced to make nominations early in the morning.

So that means we got a night filled with strategy talks, confusion, paranoia, annoyance and just about every other emotion and state of mind that exists. Find out what else happened on the Big Brother feeds last night.

Big Brother 16 Live Feed Highlights – Thursday, July 24, 2014:

7:12 PM BBT – Feeds back. HGs talking about the trackers that decided who the have-nots would be.

7:18 PM BBT – Jocasta says to Donny: “Are we going up together or against each other? Because we’re both going up.” She already knows.

7:23 PM BBT – Caleb said he thought Julie was going to ask him about their date.

7:50 PM BBT – Frankie and Zach meet in the hive room to discuss nominations. They decide that Caleb is the target, but he’ll go up as a backdoor. That means Zach has to remain the HOH after BOTB so Frankie won’t have to nominate Caleb. Frankie’s potential nominees are Donny and Hayden. Zach’s would be Jocasta and Nicole or Jocasta and Victoria.

7:57 PM BBT – Zach and Frankie decide to act like they don’t each others’ nominees. They keep going back and forth about who to put up.

8:10 PM BBT – Zach asks Hayden who he’d like to go this week. He says Caleb or Amber.

8:15 PM BBT – Derrick and Frankie talking about what to do. Frankie says he doesn’t know yet. They want Zach to put up Donny but Frankie tells him Zach said he won’t do that.

8:37 PM BBT – Zach tells Nicole the plan is to get Caleb out the backdoor this week. He then talks with Victoria and tells her he won’t put her up after she says she won’t throw the BOTB for him.

8:45 PM BBT – Zach, Frankie and Christine are talking in the hive room. Zach wants Christine to go up and throw the BOTB. She says she will not throw it. He tells her she needs to contribute at least something to the alliance. She won’t budge.

8:50 PM BBT – Nomination choices keep going all over the place. At this moment, Frankie might put up Jocasta and Donny and Zach would put up Amber and Hayden with Hayden throwing BOTB.

9:20 PM BBT – Zach, Cody and Derrick are talking about Christine not doing anything and Derrick compares her to Andy from BB15. Cody and Derrick support the idea of Christine going up.

10:08 PM BBT – Donny tells Derrick about the Team America mission. Of course they decide to use Zach as one of their targets.

10:22 PM BBT – Zach asks Caleb about Amber and if she’s after him. He then asks Caleb if he wants to go up and throw BOTB. Caleb says absolutely not.

10:25 PM BBT – Christine tells Nicole there’s talk of her going up and she’ll tell her if that’s going to happen. They both agree that they want Zach out next week.

11:00 PM BBT – HOH reveal time. Zach got a letter from his little brother and Frankie’s letter is from his mom. He chokes up again because his mom thanks the HGs for being there for him in their absence.

11:23 PM BBT – Caleb is annoyed with Amber because she’s being rude to people in the “alliance.” He says he can only protect her so long.

11:40 PM BBT – Zach is again saying Christine brings nothing to the alliance and he’s getting tired of working with her.

11:45 PM BBT – Caleb tells Zach and others that he talked to Amber about her wanting to target Zach. He said she wasn’t targeting Zach but after Amber refused to talk game to Derrick and Caleb any longer, Caleb got mad. So Caleb tells Zach, Derrick and Frankie Amber can go up. But then in typical Caleb fashion, he makes her sound innocent and then says she threatens to expose the alliance if Zach puts her up. Before it’s over with, he completely does a 180 and sounds like he’s now saying “don’t put her up.”

11:57 PM BBT – Caleb leaves the room and they’re all OK, back to Caleb. That talk just made them agree to get Caleb out this week.

1:10 AM BBT – Nomination plans continue to bounce around. Now Zach is thinking about Christine and Amber.

1:25 AM BBT – Christine and Amber come up to the HoH room and Zach is asking for nom suggestions. He’s running through who he can’t put up and how it’s a short list of options.

1:50 AM BBT – Amber and Christine are upset at Zach, saying he drew the line in the sand. They want to come after him.

2:10 AM BBT – Zach tells Nicole this week is going to ruin his game, but he seems to be enjoying the ride!

3:00 AM BBT – Derrick is working on the Team America mission by egging Zach on to have a “Zach Attack” at the nomination ceremony.

3:10 AM BBT – Zach has changed up his plans to be Nicole and Christine.

3:40 AM BBT – Zach is practicing an outrageous nomination speech against Nicole and Christine while Derrick and Frankie encourage the idea. Cody and Hayden think it’s a bad idea. Team America is not good for Zach.

So who knows what’s going to happen at this point. I think it’s a safe bet to say that Zach as HOH will put the final nail in his coffin and he’ll be gone in the coming weeks. He just needs to calm down and stop being so reckless. And I don’t see that happening. So Zach fans, enjoy it while you can.

  1. Am not sure what all the fretting is about. They still have 4 stooges: Amber, Jacosta, Victoria and Donny. Frankie is an idiot for making promises to a stooge. Even if Donny isnt going home, you need him to go on the block. Frankie is playing dumb.

    • SEVEN stooges….did you forget Christine, Hayden, and Nicole? I mean I could see where that would be easy to do. :)

      • You are right. Hayden and Nicole for sure. Christine is a member of the Detonators, though, right?

  2. My, oh my, just how Zach is on his esteemed way of self-implode this week.
Another instance of someone who’s blinded by power and then gone in the week after.
And this Caleb, lol. it’s just hilarious for his cluelessness. And everytime Brittany would say that everyone is afraid of him and that he has power or influence over many people in the house, it’s just downright amusing. Everybody is clueless but Derrick.

    • You forgot Donny. He’s cautious and is careful of whom he talks game with. He’s suspicious of Derrick and is now quietly observing the entire house. I was hoping to see him win HOH last night as I believe he would have been the one to target Derrick. IMO, Caleb is a lovesick puppy and is obsessed with his delusions of a relationship with Amber. Targeting Derrick would send the house into a spin that it desperately needs! Ppl have to start playing this game for themselves! And for God’s sake stop running and telling as soon as you hear something! Take time to process!

      • Yeah I don’t get all the Donny love. Sure he seems like a nice guy but he really hasn’t accomplished much other than a couple of challenge wins that didn’t get him very far in the game and he’s always been on the wrong side of the power alliance. I don’t know, maybe he’ll blossom at some point and surprise me.

      • Donny needs to last until they get rid of dual HOH’s. Even if he won and Zach or Frankie won the other, Donny would nominate stronger players and would probably lose BOB, leaving Frankie or Zach as sole HOH.

    • Wasn’t Donny the one who planted a seed in Zach to put up one of those who haven’t been nom’d, aka his own alliance? In this case, Derrick and Frankie gave up trying to sway Zach out of his plan to put up Christine.

In any case, the cracks have already grown bigger a couple of weeks early before jury in this 5-member alliance of theirs. No way now for Derrick to keep Zach for long, maybe even taking him out sooner in the event he loses BOTB.

      • I think Zach nominating Christine works for TA task this week. It gets Zach all fired up to make a scene and Christine might be one of their best chances for a reaction.

      • With Donny being the one who received the task firsthand, that could really be him in action.

I guess that may be why Frankie and Derrick give in to Zach’s plans on nominating Xtine.

      • But if that fails…and Zach stays HOH…backdooring Caleb will likely cause an argument at the veto meeting. I had my doubts about TA completing this mission but they are looking good.

      • Only if Caleb is one of the original targets. One of the rules for completing this mission, is that they have to tell the Diary Room who they want to start a fight between. So if they choose Zach and Amber, Caleb starting a fight with Zach won’t get TA the 5k.

      • I think they are picking Christine and Zach. We will know today. They wanted to try nomination ceremony that way if it didn’t work they still had veto to try again.

      • It was Donny who planted the seed. Donny is playing a low key game. Winning when he has to and just staying friends. However he does slip in comments (much like Derrick) to get ppl thinking. He listed who had never been on the block and that got Zach going.

      • Hopefully, it doesn’t take having an alliance for a player like Donny to last very long in this game.

      • I agree. Donny is very observant and not quick to tell what he knows. I do think he needs to align with another player he can trust… problem is most of the house are tattlers (can’t keep their mouths shut). Donny and Derrick are playing their own game, while most of the house is playing Derrick’s game (which is smart for Derrick).

  3. Nothing new this week. Derrick and Frankie still in full control of the house.
Only question is who is going to be the nominations and who are they targeting this week. Amber is really stupid to think that she is going to be safe by trying to expose the Bomb Squad. She is already a target. She should be telling Donny and the others about the Bomb Squad. What I do not understand is why people in the house still are unaware of that alliance. Didn’t Devin expose everything before he left? So, either the other house guest floaters were not paying attention at all or really just slow. I am disgusted with the game play of the floaters. If this is going to be it till the end then, I hope Derrick wins it all! Atleast, he played the game. The others do not deserve that $500,000!

    • I totally agree!!! Derrick is by far the only one that deserves to win the $500,000.

    • Donny knows there’s an alliance. He also told Jocasta that Derrick is the brains. He is smart enough to know he can’t go up against them alone so he keeps sneaking in comments and getting more ppl to trust and like him. Look for him to make a move soon. I look for TA to end when they go to 1 HOH.

      • I hope Donny can stick around till then. I also imagine he knows that an alliance that big will eventually splinter and need numbers from other people in the house. At some point Frankie and Derrick are going to realize that they don’t want to be next to each other in the end.

  4. Yay. So somebody woke Christine up and she drew a line in the sand. LOL. At least the “detonators” seem on the way to implosion, no thanks to the crew of floaters and tools that they’re up against.

  5. So far i think Derrick is playing the best game. Even though he’s not HOH, he is still in their ears and as far as i am concerned he is the smartest player in the house. Zach, what can i say? You are completely crazy, but you do make good TV. I am getting really tired of Christine though… she is so arrogant and is contributing NOTHING to the allicance. I wouldn’t mind seeing her going up to knock her down a few notches… All in all, i think this could a interesting week in the BB house!

    • While I am not a fan of Christine, she has offered a lot of information to the alliance. She is one of the only alliance members that has relationships with other people in the house. She was the one that told them about Amber forming an alliance outside of the Bomb Squad. I think after this week, more people will start wanting to win HOH, instead of being content with not being a target.

      • Me neither. Especially after watching last night. I can’t remember who it was, but when someone was choosing two people to compete in HOH, she completely threw Nicole under the bus. It was quick, but I heard her say Nicole’s name when that person went to pick two people.

      • Yeah Christine came off as a bit entitled last night. Like “how dare you put me up even though I haven’t been put up all season.” People act like getting nominated is the worst thing to happen. It’s not. It’s part of the game. And everyone’s biggest mistake is freaking out once they do get nominated.

It seems like Derrick and Donny are the only two who know how to keep a level head at this point.

      • Being nominated initially isn’t that bad this season. You have a 50% shot at being safe for the whole week. Not to mention that you have the whole week to campaign or try for veto. A lot more chances to save yourself this season as opposed to previous seasons.

  6. Feeds should be fun to watch after the nomination ceremony today. With Zach nominating Christine and Nicole..they will be pissed, and his speech is really going to fan the flames!

  7. If Zach’s nominations win the Battle of the Block, there is a very good chance that he might be the one going out the door!!! Christine threw him under bus when she ratted in him out to Cody!!! Cody told Amber in the Beehive Room that he doesn’t know if can keep his cool around Zach now!! As far as I’m concerned, Amber deserves to go home!!! For her to say that from now on, she’s not going to take to any of the alliance members??!!! Really Amber?? Seriously??? Are you stuck on stupid??!!!

  8. Didn’t Devin blow up the BS alliance? Did Caleb miss the memo? He is not in an alliance!?!

I think it is time for him to be voted out, not Amber. It is safer for them to vote Caleb out first. If she goes first, he may crumble OR we will really see beast mode cowboy, right now all we see is puppy dog love sick little boy.

    • Derrick made him think that there’s still a BS alliance toreturn to after Devin left, and in order to make sure Caleb still think as such, they let him be included in group conversations just to keep him occupied with the thought.

    • I would get rid of Caleb first as well. You could tell Amber it is because Caleb wasn’t letting her play the game for herself. Caleb is always bothering her, so I think she would like to see him go. Not to mention that we haven’t had an endurance comp in a while.

  9. They are crazy to target Caleb over Donny. Donny can win competitions, is smart and is everybody’s friend. Caleb is a moron, everybody hates him. He can win competitions but he is so dumb he will get rid of all the people they want cause he doesn’t realize he is not in the alliance anymore. I would so want him with me in the final two!

    • There’s a chance they’re going to be taken out by Caleb if he had the chance down the road so they’re not taking chance either on that one. Derrick and Frankie will protect Donny because of Team America, and will continue to do so for as long as the twist is still around.

    • Caleb is wild card who is thinking with his heart not his head. I think they find Donny to be more reasonable to deal with than Caleb. Not to mention the 2 people controlling most of the game are Frankie and Derrick and they will protect Donny for TA.

  10. Britt tried to tell these girls. But they were so anti Britt, they did not want to listen

  11. If the Detonators want to backdoor Caleb, don’t you think it’s better to nominate people that will work hard to win POV, use POV and re-nom Caleb? So why nominate weaklings that may not have a chance at winning against Caleb?
