This week on Big Brother 27 the new season will kick off with its debut on Thursday, July 10th at 8PM for a 90-minute CBS event. We’ll be off and running for what’s likely the next three months and an amazingly gorgeous new house design. “But first,” we’re going to need the rest of that cast of Houseguests!
There was a flurry of activity over the weekend when CBS released a mere five-second commercial that lead to the full identification of the first five Houseguest of the Big Brother 27 cast. Since then we’ve been waiting patiently and many eyes have been watching, but no other leaks or reveals have arrived.
Last year the full cast was announced just two days before the season premiere and that means it’s after the HGs had already entered the game and were in full game-on mode. That would put us with a Tuesday cast release this year if they follow the same pattern. Seems reasonable to expect so hopefully we get them tomorrow or today we’ll get a surprise and find out the rest. Either way, the wait is nearly over.
Then starting on Thursday at 8PM the floodgates open and the BB27 season will be underway. The full Big Brother schedule for this summer may likely shift and change as it does every summer once things get rolling, but for now here’s what CBS has promised: Thursdays at 8pm, Sundays at 8PM, and Wednesdays at 8PM. Then mixed in there will be Friday 8PM episodes every other week week for the new “Big Brother Unlocked” show with behind-the-scenes content and a yet-to-be-known host, likely a past HG.
If you’re ready for the Live Feeds you’ve got a little more waiting to do. Feeds won’t start for Big Brother 27 until after Sunday’s second episode concludes on the west coast. So we’re looking at around 9:30PM PT on Sunday (about 12:30AM ET overnight Sunday). So that’s disappointing that we’ll lose a lot of days of the start of BB27, but it’s not surprising.
